Britain Officially Recognizes Druidry as Religion
Monday October 4, 2010
Thanks to all the folks who emailed me this story -- CNN reports that on
Saturday, Great Britain officially recognized Druidry as a religion1, and has
granted a Druid group charitable status. The Charity Commission for England and
Wales processed the Druid Network's application for charitable recognition, and
determined that "There is a sufficient belief in a supreme being or entity to
constitute a religion for the purposes of charity law."
British Druids have been active in trying to promote education about their
beliefs, and hope that this decision will lead to even broader public
acceptance. Phil Ryder, of Darwen, Lancashire, led the campaign2, and told the
Lancashire Telegraph that even though there are only 350 members in his group,
there may be upwards of 10,000 practicing Druids in Great Britain today.
Meanwhile, not everyone thinks this is so wonderful. Melanie Phillips of the
Daily Mail says Druidry is really just a cult of silly people in white robes,
and refers to the whole thing as just "totally barking mumbo-jumbo."3

GRAB YOUR broomsticks and go find yourself a black cat while you're at it.
Because even if you've never given a second thought to the notion that
Delaware's Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell was ever a witch, you
might now.
Before yesterday, who really took the idea seriously?
But that new ad of hers that opens with the words "I'm not a witch" certainly
makes you stop.
In daring to utter what for her has become the W-word, O'Donnell broke a
cardinal rule in advertising/public relations that you never repeat whatever it
is that you're trying to convince folks you're not. And the way her opening
statement is structured, it calls to mind Richard "I Am Not a Crook" Nixon. As a
media consultant, she should know that.
But O'Donnell plunges right in during her 30-second spot.
"I'm not a witch. I'm nothing you've heard. I'm you. None of us are perfect.
But none of us can be happy with what we see all around us. Politicians who
think spending, trading favors and backroom deals are the ways to stay in
office. I'll go to Washington and do what you'd do."
As instrumental music plays softly in the background, O'Donnell concludes by
repeating, "I'm you."
Uh, no, you're not.
That doesn't mean, though, that the political upset that the tea party-backed
candidate managed to pull off isn't kind of cool.
It's not every day that an unemployed, recent college graduate who defaulted
on her home mortgage is able to unseat an established incumbent with deep party
ties the way O'Donnell did Mike Castle.
But it doesn't mean I won't poke a little fun at O'Donnell, who famously told
Bill Maher on "Politically
Incorrect" in 1999 that she had "dabbled into witchcraft" while in high school.
Yesterday, I reached out to some members of the Wiccan faith to get their take
on O'Donnell's political ad.
I wondered whether witches took umbrage at O'Donnell's referring to them as
"questionable," as she did when questioned about her high school friends.
"She's an idiot. People that practice the pagan religion perceive her as such,"
said the Rev. Eric Lee, a Unitarian minister who runs his own coven in New
Hope. "The woman believes in biblical evolution as opposed to scientific
evolution. That's like saying cartoons are real."
As for her comments in 1999 on "Politically Incorrect" about having a first
date on a bloodstained, satanic altar, Lee, who owns Mystickal Times shop, in
New Hope, said "she obviously is coming from a point of no education in the
pagan rite . . . [an altar] is a place where we honor the deities and we
practice our religious rites. It doesn't have anything to do with sacrifice."
Tracy Frasche, a self-described witch who lives in Bergen County, N.J., was
similarly fired up when I got her on the phone. "To me, it was disrespectful.
Why isn't she just dropping it?" said Frasche, who's a mother of two and lives
in an "affluent" suburb. "I believe that witches are people who practice
divination. We are doing a witches' benefit for the children at St. Jude's
[Research Hospital in Memphis] . . . . I'm a witch. I work in a surgeon's
office. We are witches and that's who we are."
"There's a whole community of people that practice Wicca and other pagan
religions. It's not like what everybody thinks," Frasche added. "She offended
the Satanists and she offended the Wiccans, because the Wiccans have been
trying to distance themselves from the Satanists . . . now she's annoyed
everybody.
"I think she's lost the Wiccan vote."

Pagan Living
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wiccan
This week's big news is the recognition of Druidry as an honest-to-goodness
religion in Great Britain, as well as further discussion on why the Christian
concert at Ft. Bragg was kind of a big deal, and some fundamentalist shenanigans
at the Air Force Academy. We're also talking about a new Mithraic temple
discovered in France, a neat project involving Greek manuscripts, and the fact
that most Americans are pretty clueless about religion in general. Have a
magical week, and don't forget you can Follow Pagan/Wiccan on Twitter or Join Me

Why Be Bothered by Christian Concert?
After we talked last week about the protests aimed at an evangelical Christian
concert being held at Fort Bragg, I got an email from a reader who said,
"Seriously, why is this a big deal? It's a concert. If it makes the Christians
feel better to have a concert, who is it hurting? Find something more important
to complain about." Rather than respond via email, I'm going to post my answer
here, because believe it or not, this IS something important to complain about -
although I would point out that discussing something is not necessarily the same
as complaining, but that's probably just a matter of semantics. Anyway, here's
why it matters. The Supreme Court of the United States of America has ... Read

Temple to Mithras Discovered in France
Archaeologists have uncovered a third-century sanctuary dedicated to the god
Mithras, near Angers, France. The small chapel is part of a larger dig which has
revealed Roman roads and what appears to be a fairly urban area from nearly two
thousands years ago. The temple includes a bas-relief of Mithras slaughtering a
bull. The cult of Mithras was popular amongst members of Rome's military, and
shrines to him have been found in several early Roman excavations. In one
legend, Mithras was ... Read more
MRFF Concerned About AF Academy
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has sent a letter to the
Secretary of Defense, claiming that there is an increasingly hostile situation
at the Air Force Academy involving Christian proselytizing. Based on information
from a cadet who has asked to remain anonymous and parents of a recent graduate,
the letter states thate there is a group of underground cadets pretending to be
fundamentalist Christians so they can stay in good standing at the Academy, and
also calls for an investigation of a group called Cadets for Christ, which has
exhibited some fairly cult-like behavior. In addition, the letter calls for ...

Jennifer Hoffman Ascension Insights: Exploding Eggs & Other Distract
Posted by: "Ash" mhc4sure@yahoo.com mhc4sure

Ascension Insights --
Exploding Eggs & Other Distractions
Greetings!
October 6, 2010
Have you registered for the *free* healing guilt & shame teleclass on October 6? It's filling quickly and I want to be sure you can be there. Click here to register (it's free but registration is required).
Hi everyone,
I decided to cook some hard boiled eggs
for lunch so I put some eggs in a pan of water, turned the stove on and
went back to my office to do some work. Then I answered emails, made a
few phone calls and did other tasks around the office. Suddenly I heard a
strange, muffled banging noise just as the smell of burning eggs wafted
into my office. I remembered the eggs on the stove and ran to the
kitchen, wondering whether it would be on fire! The kitchen was filled
with black smoke and I heard more muffled bangs. Since the pan had been
on the stove for over an hour, the water had boiled away and the eggs
continued to cook until they exploded. Luckily, the pan was covered or I
would have been scraping eggs off of the ceiling. Yuck. The
eggs were ruined, the pan was a black, crusty mess and my house smelled
like burned eggs. Why didn't I turn the kitchen timer on before I left
the kitchen so I could be reminded when they were ready? Because I was
distracted. While I was putting the eggs in the pan I was thinking about
what I was going to do in the office. And in the office, I was so
distracted with my work that I forgot about lunch. The sound of the eggs
exploding in the pan brought my attention back to them but it was too
late. How
much do we pay attention to what we do during the day? How many things
are we distracted by as we go through our day? Do we ever focus on one
thing at a time or has multi-tasking become so much a part of our daily
lives that we don't have time for single-thought living any more? From Facebook
to mobile phones to TV, movies and more, we are tempted by hundreds of
distractions every day. They take time and energy but more than that,
they distract us from focusing on any single aspect of our lives. Think
of how many things we can do simultaneously today. We can send an email,
talk on the phone, text, read the paper, plan our grocery list and
review our calendar (to remind us of everything else we have to do)
while we're driving down the road (we can but I do not advise it-cell
phone driving is my top pet peeve). While
many of today's conveniences make life more manageable and efficient,
they also add multiple levels of complexity that can become
overwhelming. And with so many possibilities and so much to do, we feel
guilty if we don't multi-task. How else would we be able to get
everything done? But how much do we really need to do? And how much are
we accomplishing when we're so distracted? We are in the Miracle Zone,
the place in our lives where miracles happen, through our conscious
awareness of what is happening around us. But we can't have that
awareness when we are not focused on the present moment. By being in the
present moment we are aware of the miracles that are occurring all
around us. Here's
an example: You're looking for a new job and a friend calls you to
have lunch. You go to lunch and spend most of the time thinking about
other things, checking your phone, making notes to yourself about what
you have to do after lunch and catch only half of the conversation. Your
friend sees someone she knows whose company is hiring and when she asks
whether you want an introduction you mutter something that she
interprets as a lack of interest. So she doesn't say anything else and
you missed an opportunity because you were too distracted and not paying
attention. Hmmm. Multi-tasking is wonderful and I am very good at it, unless I'm boiling eggs
while working in my office. Sometimes our distractions make us less
efficient, as they can create more work for us. It took me as long to
clean the pan and boil more eggs as I spent working in the office. By
taking 10 seconds to turn on the stove timer, I would have prevented the
eggs from burning. But I forgot to do that since I was distracted. We
have to get back to focusing on the present moment, being present in
our life so we remember that the biggest part of our presence is in who
we are and what we are being, not what we are doing. We won't measure
our success at the end of life by how much we got done, we will consider
who we were. We will ask questions like: Did I live the life I wanted to? Did I do everything I could with my gifts and talents? Did I contribute to the world and make it a better place? Did I love someone and allow myself to be loved? When
we live through distraction we get a lot done but, like my burned eggs,
it doesn't always turn out well. Our challenge now is to get back into
living through paying attention so we don't miss the subtle signs the
Universe sends us that introduce the fulfillment of our desires. When we
can stop being distracted and learn to pay attention, we are in the
present moment and more aware of what is going on around us. And we can
notice the miracles that manifest for us. This
will take practice so take some time each day to be in that moment, to
pay attention to what you are thinking and feeling, what is going on in
your life and whether you are fulfilled and satisfied. Notice the
diversions that take your focus away from you and your life. Are they
activities that serve you and enhance your life or do they keep you 'on
the go' and out of the flow? Which ones can you eliminate? Every day, ask yourself these questions: Did you do something for yourself that was completely frivolous and unnecessary? Did you do something for someone else just because you wanted to? Did you smile at someone, give or receive a hug or do something that satisfied your soul? Did you take a few minutes to appreciate yourself, your life and love ones and the world around you? There
are times when multi-tasking is useful and appropriate and there are
other times when it distracts us from truly living our life. And we are
working so hard that we miss the opportunities that would enable us to
be more in the flow rather than constantly 'on the go'. As
you go through your day, try to limit distractions by focusing on your
breathing-it is the one thing you cannot live without and being aware of
it keeps you in the present moment. You cannot take one breath and skip
others, get all of your breaths for the day completed in five minutes
or skip breathing to work on something else. Breathing is essential to
life and focusing on it reminds you of the moment that matters, the one
in which you are breathing. Then
do something you enjoy every day and make it something fun, frivolous
and completely unnecessary, to remind yourself that you can be busy any
time, but you get to be you in those special moments that you give
yourself the gift of your full attention. Stay calm, focused, detached and aware and remember your thoughts are creating every moment of your life. Think the best ones.
As
you ponder this and the other things that are happening at this time
(Mercury is finally out of retrograde, so it's time to move forward
now), remember to:
Accept all gifts of understanding with gratitude and use them to apply forgiveness, release and healing to every situation.
Ask for guidance and confirmation and then wait for it to come to you.
Above
all, be grateful for this opportunity to be part of humanity's amazing
shift in consciousness as we all ascend into the miracle vibration.
Many blessings in these miraculous and amazing times,
Jennifer Hoffman

COUSIN BANYA, THE SERPENT QUEEN
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Wed Oct 6, 2010 5:44 am (PDT)
COUSIN BANYA, THE SERPENT QUEEN
Banya, the Serpent Queen,
Came slithering through my door;
I locked it when I saw her coming, but
She picked the lock with her forked tongue.
If she wasn't my cousin,
She probably wouldn't visit at all.
It was bad enough that she had snakes
All over her head, but her roots were showing
From a bad bleach job...I guess she had to
Do it herself, (I sure wouldn't want to)!
Banya is what they call a Lamia (kinda rhymes,
Doesn't it)? She was a snake from waist down,
And could slither with her bottom half...
And pretty fast, too!
Unfortunately, her lair was not too far from
My house. And she had a good sense of smell,
So she could tell if I was at home.
I had just gotten a new boyfriend, and I really
Dreaded it if he should run into Cousin Banya.
Alfred was really kinda conservative anyway,
And the thought of future kinship with a Lamia
Would really put a crimp in our relationship.
He was just at the point of 'popping the question',
Too.
I pulled up a bucket chair that Banya could fit into,
And fixed her a cup of tea with honey and milk.
I had some poppyseed muffins on hand, too.
I knew she probably had other appetites, but
I really didn't want to know...it might be frogs,
Or something worse.
After we ate, she slithered into the den to watch tv;
She was especially fond of soap operas.
She picked up the picture of Alfred, he looked
So cute, with his bow tie, glasses and pipe;
Exactly like like an accountant should look.
Banya rolled her eyes and looked slightly
Nauseous, which was very very rude. I was
Offended. After all, I never commented on her
Boyfriends. Heck, I usually only ever saw them
Once. I never asked her why that was, either...
I didn't want to know.
Banya could hypnotize men with her eyes...
Once they got up to her eyes, that is;
She didn't wear anything above the waist.
I hope she would leave before Alfred came to
Pick me up for our date; otherwise I would have to
Hide her.
I kept hinting for Banya to leave, but as usual
Hints didn't do any good where she was concerned,
And I was scared to make her mad, you bet!
She was painting her claws...oops, nails with black
Polish,
When I heard a knock at the door. Oh, Lord!
That had to be Alfred; it was a very conservative knock.
I rushed Banya into my bedroom and the tv there,
And told her to stay in there quietly and totally,
If she wanted me to let her search for mice in the cellar.
So I smoothed my hair and tried to stop shaking,
And then I opened the door for my gentle Alfred.
He had just gotten home from an Accounting Convention
In Chicago, and was very glad to see me.
I told him I would just get my coat, and we could go,
But he said he just wanted to spend a quiet evening
At home with me. Yikes! And he plopped himself down
Into a chair and wouldn't move. Damn.
I told him all I had to eat were sandwich fixings and soda,
But he said that was fine with him, we could go out later
For dessert. I put on the coffee pot, but my hands were
Shaking so badly that I almost dropped it.
Things were pretty quiet in the kitchen, and then
We heard a thump, thump, thump, and Ssssssssss,
Sssssssss, and I knew Banya was on the move.
Oh, Lordy! I didn't know if I would live through this night,
Or not; it sounded to me like she was heading for the stairs.
Thank God Alfred had his back to the stairs! I saw Banya
Stick her head around the corner to peek. She wanted to
See my new boyfriend, but I sure didn't want him to see Her!
She laughed at me, and stuck our her forked tongue.
Sssssssssss, Ssssssssss! She was laughing at me.
I told Alfred that was the radiator making that noise. I hoped
He wouldn't use his brain to realize I had central heat.
I jumped up and grabbed my coat, pulled him out of the chair,
And headed for the door. "Hellooooooo," Banya said sweetly.
I almost fainted. Then I looked up and wished I HAD fainted.
Banya had wrapped her snaky hair in a towel for a turban,
And put on a long skirt over her green snaky tail.
It looked awful, but poor Alfred was an innocent, he might not
Figure out she was a creature-type thingie.
"I'm Laurie's cousin Banya," she hissed, "first cousins on her
Mother's side." She held out her hand, and of course
He had to get closer to shake it. I was glaring at her,
But as usual it did not do any good. She looked at him
With her hypnotic eyes, and he did not notice anything
Unusual at all. I guess she does have her talents.
"You two go out and have a good time," she said, "I just
Wanted to see what he looked like. Not very impressive."
She slithered back upstairs, as I marched Alfred out of the
Door, (and out to eat, if my stomach would stop clenching).
Well, at least Banya and my Alfred had met each other.
I calmed down and everything was going fine, until
Alfred said how pleasant Banya was, and wouldn't
She make a lovely bridesmaid at our wedding?
I spewed coffee all over our tablecloth and started choking,
At that one!
I am really giving serious thought to the advisability of marrying
A conservative man, what with my family trees. He hadn't
Even met Banya's parents (thank God/dess to mention
The rest of my family, who have lairs all over the place, most
Of them not too far from my house.....
Oh, well. Visits from Cousin Banya are never dull,
But I love her anyway!

Today's Goddess: Chicomecoatl Whole Enchilada Festival (New Mexico)
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Wed Oct 6, 2010 5:45 am (PDT)
Today's Goddess: Chicomecoatl
Whole Enchilada Festival (New Mexico)
Themes: Fire, Providence, Energy, Community, Abundance, Fertility, Strength
Symbols: Hot spices (especially chili peppers), Corn, Fire
About Chicomecoatl: In Mexico, this Goddess presides over maize and all matters
of plenty during this time of harvest. Chicomecoatl is also the hearth Goddess
and provides warmth, energy and fertility to those in need. Her fiery, strong
character is depicted vibrantly in artistic renderings, in which Chicomecoatl
bears the sun as a shield.
To Do Today: Around this time of year, people in New Mexico enjoy a day of
taste testing a ten fen long enchilada in a communal atmosphere and you might
like to follow suit. The hot spices in enchiladas (or other Mexican
foods) motivate Chicomecoatl's fire within for physical and emotional warmth.
If you're sensitive to hot peppers, add corn to your diet today instead. This
invokes the Goddess's strength and fertility.
More simply still, Chicomecoatl abides in any fire source. So, light a candle
today first thing in the morning to welcome her into your home today. For
portable magic, carry matches or put a lighter in your pocket. Throughout the
day, light a match or the lighter whenever you need a boost of energy or
vitality or when you need to improve your communications with those around you.
This action also draws Chicomecoatl attention to your financial needs. )0( By

Prosperity Signature Ritual
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Prosperity Signature Ritual
Ancient principles of Chinese calligraphic art, ritual, and
practiceâ"particularly concerning the upwards and downwards strokes of the
brushâ"can be adapted for modern-day use. Calligraphy is an artistic form of
expression and a science that deals with each personâs individual pen-strokes.
This ritual will be especially beneficial for those who write and sign many
personal checks but find their bank accounts constantly overdrawn. Set up a
small table with a new pen, paper, a vase of flowers, incense, a votive candle,
and a glass of water. Sit in a comfortable position, then inhale and exhale
nine times. Take a sip of the water and meditate upon fresh beginnings.
Visualize money regularly flowing into your bank account, covering every check
you write and also filling your account with surplus cash for incidental
expenses. There will even be enough left over to save. When ready, smell the
flowers and pass the pen and paper over the votive candle. Create a new
signature that begins and ends with a firm upwards stroke to draw money luck.
Continue practicing until you are able to use this signature with ease, and
then use it for all your money transactions. ~Y. Zenith

Hallows Blessing
To those whose feet are stilled
And those who laugh with us no more
To you we say, our love was with you here
And goes with you hence
To that place where you rest and revel.
May the dark Lord and sweet Lady
Guide your feet along the rocky paths
To the place where all is fresh and green
And lover, friends and ancestors wait
With open arms to greet you.
Go in peace, and with our blessing
Be rested and return when the Lady deems it fit
With the countless turns of the Great Wheel
We shall miss you
We shall meet you again in the green places of Her domain.

Holy Death/ Santisima Muerte Statue
Holy Death/ Santisima Muerte Statue
The Most Holy Death, also known as Saint Death, is widely revered in South America, particularly Mexico, as a figure who receives petitions for protection, love, and good luck. Though condemned as a pagan tradition by the Catholic Church, she is still often revered as Saint who will receive offerings and prayers, with some seeing her as a form of the Virgin Mary. Here she is presented in a traditional fashion, depicted as the Grim Reaper
with a skull face, concealed in a black mantle and robe. In one hand
she holds the reaper's scythe and in the other she holds a clear glass
globe, representing her ability to see and aid in your pleas. Made of
cold cast resin, this statue stands 13" high and 6 1/2" wide.

Wednesday, October 6:
We may feel stressed as the critical Virgo Moon opposes Jupiter and Uranus prior to shifting into graceful Libra at 3:51 pm EDT. However, it may not be easy to access the gracious Libra Moon because she forms an anxious square with dark Pluto. Dealing with a moody partner or managing our own negative emotions can lead us down a complicated path of relationship dynamics. Practicing patience by focusing on long-term goals lessens the stress of the day.

Pagan Studies - A Past Life Dream Spell
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Pagan Studies - A Past Life Dream Spell
.
In October, the door to the other-world opens. Our dreams serve now as doors to
other realms. You can use your dreams to recall former lives, and then use this
information to help you deal with problems in your current life. Perform this
spell at bedtime when you arenât overly tired. To start, youâll need a smooth
and polished amethyst stone. Sitting on a bed, hold the amethyst and say:
" I call on the power of perfect memory to enable me to see a past life Iâve
lived; it shall be revealed in my dreams. Iâll see only what I should see. So
mote it be."
Place the amethyst beneath your pillow and go to sleep. When you awake, record
any images you recall. Repeat this spell over many nights. ~James Kambos

Indian Poet Ramprasad
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Wed Oct 6, 2010 5:53 am (PDT)
Me desire is not satisfied.
My hopes are unfulfilled.
O mother! O Kali!
Now my life is ending.
I am calling to you, mother,
for the last time: take me
in your arms, rock me
like a mother rocks a child.
This is a loveless world.
No one here loves as you do.
My one desire, mother, is to go
to you and be completely loved.
~Indian Poet Ramprasad
The great mystical poets of India were passionate in their expressions of love
for Kali, the great mother of death who dances in the cemeteries wearing her
garlands of skulls. In this season of harvest and death, Kali is an especially
appropriate object foe meditation. What, Ramprasad asks us, differentiates the
goddess of death from a mother? Nothing, he answers.
Nothing? How can death be our mother? This is the great mystery of Kali's
worship, a mystery that cannot be explained, only experienced. To truly accept
the mortality of our bodies, Ramprasad tells us, is not to become depressed
and demoralized. Rather, we become completely alive in the awareness of our
eventual death. As the leaves and another year's cycle turns around, Kali is an
appropriate goddess to invoke.

Season of the Hag Goddess
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Season of the Hag Goddess
Samhain is the season associated with spirits and the season of the Hag or
Calliach (meaning old woman) The crone aspect of the Goddess. We honor
Rhiannon, Goddess of Transition, Ceridwen, Goddess of cauldron of transformation
and Hecate, Weaver of wisdom and guardian at the crossroads. How do you
decorate your altar and what God/Goddess is closest to you this time of year?
What nocturnal creatures visit you in your dreams or associated with the Hag
Goddess? What does Samhain mean to you? What kinds of costumes are you wearing
to walk alongside the dead this Samhain night?
(I'm sure we honor other Goddesses, and if anyone want's to add more in this
discussion the more the merrier!)

How do you Feel about Death?
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

How do you feel about Death?
Death is a subject that always surfaces in peoples' lives.
How can you draw nearer to death in your life, embrace it,
and work with it differently?
What do you really feel about death? Why do poeple deny and morn
death so deeply and sometimes badly?
How can we change our views of death and ask others to care for
our dead? Would talking about death and maybe these questions
help experiencing Samhain/Halloween become even deeper?

Happy
Earth Day
I am the
Earth
And
the Earth is me.
Each blade of grass,
Each honey

Each

And stick and stone
Is blood and muscle,

And just as I

Daily Devotions of the Goddess
Hekate Goddess of the Moon,
You who are all that ever was,
All that is, and all that shall be:
Come, veiled Queen of Night!
Come as the scent of the sacred lotus
Charging my circle with love and magick.
I beckon you descend upon my circle,
In love and light, O Blessed be!

The Doe
Effortlessness
Awareness Intuition
Take a deep breath and let the spirit of the doe fill you.
Click here to listen to the Doe's Song.
You are
blessed indeed to have the beautiful doe as your power animal. She appears
delicate, but she is very strong. Her strength comes from her deep connection
to all that surrounds her. She will teach you to stand within the moment, quiet
and observant, sensing all that is, feeling each leaf of the forest as a deep
part of your being.
She will
also teach you lightness, lightness of the spirit and of the feet. With a deep
intuitive sense of what is, you will know exactly when to take action and to do
so decisively, moving quickly and gracefully in response to your knowing. She
will teach you to sense the world around you so deeply and instinctively that
you are always one step ahead of the events coming your way.
Let her
light spirit fill you with the freedom and joy of being, so that you bound and
leap through life effortlessly, always sure-footed, always deeply attuned, even
when entering a new part of the forest. She will help you welcome the new
experiences of life, giving a joyous welcoming to new beginnings.
As the doe,
you will learn to be fearless, to trust your intuition completely and know that
a deep awareness and connection with the world, combined with a belief in
yourself, is the best possible protection there is.

Quado's Garden: Honor Yourself Today

Honor
Yourself Today
Today, give yourself great
respect. Let every thought and
every
action you direct toward yourself to be how you would treat someone for whom you
feel both admiration and
gratitude, and someone you would like very much to have as a dear friend.
Every thought should be
only what you would direct toward such a person. Every action you take should
be colored with deep respect, deep kindness and an underlying love for yourself.
You are everything. You
are your best friend. You are the one person who will always be there. Treat
yourself this way. Give yourself the credit you are due. Honor yourself for how
hard you have worked, all of the wonderful things you have done, the many, many
ways in which you have learned and grown. Honor yourself for all of this.
You are worth it all. You
are worth every kind word and loving act. Treasure yourself today, just for
being exactly the person that you are, right now.
