Jay,

As you live there and know the 'operant parties', then you are probably
correct. I just wanted to make sure no one was needlessly upset if indeed
it were simply a matter of semantic differentiation... Sometimes emotions
kick in before reason does. But if everyone seems to know that those people
operate in a certain way, then of course it's logical that they are doing so
this time, as well.

BB,
Miki

Ok.. So, as of right now, I just got home from a close friends house. I just witnessed him being possessed.. I tried doing an exorcism, and in the process was physically attacked by whatever it was. I'm a wreck, because I've never seen that in person, and it was my closest friend whose like family to me. I had felt a dark presence with us after visiting a house that we were told to avoid do to the bad energy around it. My friend is alright now, thanks to a couple of my other pagan friends..

I would really appreciate it if you could keep me in your prayers or send energy.. I don't even know what to say or do. It's crazy havin to see that.. I never want to again.. & I hope nobody else ever has to either..

Sending healing energy to you. Sounds like a kick-ass banishing spell is in order.

Morning Dew Collection Spell

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Fri May 6, 2011 11:52 am (PDT)

Morning Dew Collection Spell

In Ireland, morning dew was collected during the month of May for health and beauty. It was considered especially potent if gathered on a May morning, but it was also collected throughout the month and into June. The dew was either brushed off the grass into a dish, or it was collected with a clean linen cloth that was then wrung into a vessel. Sometimes it was placed in a glass bottle and set out in the sunshine for an entire day. Daring young women rolled naked in the dew for beauty. Dew was not to be wiped off but let dry in the air. Here is a traditional charm for collecting May dew, which alludes to its mysterious and otherworldly qualities:

I wash my face in water
That has neither rained nor run,
And I dry it on a towel
That was never woven or spun.

Fw: DailyOM: Stepping Back from Anger

Today's DailyOM brought to you by:

Stepping Back from Anger
Argument

The emotional trigger than begins an argument may have little to do with your present situation, but has dug up a wound.

When we find ourselves in an argument, we may feel like we are losing control of emotions that have taken on lives of their own. When we can become aware that this is happening, taking a deep breath can help us step back from the situation. Once we can separate ourselves from the heat of the moment, we may find that the emotional trigger that began the argument has little to do with the present situation, but may have brought up feelings related to something else entirely. Looking honestly at what caused our reaction allows us to consciously respond more appropriately to the situation and make the best choices.

We can make an agreement with our partners and those closest to us that asking questions can help all of us discover the source of the argument. The shared awareness can result in finding simple solutions to something physical, like low blood sugar or even a hormonal surge. Maybe we are taking ourselves too seriously, and we can just laugh and watch the tension dissolve. We could also discover that perhaps we are addicted to the excitement that drama brings and the chemicals that our body creates when we are angry. But there may be a deeper issue that requires discussion, understanding, and patience. The more we allow ourselves to step back and examine our reasons for arguing, the easier it becomes to allow real feelings to surface and guide us toward solutions that improve our lives.

When we can be clear about our feelings and intentions and communicate them clearly, we have a far better chance of getting what we want than if we lose control or allow our subconscious minds to manipulate the situation. We might take our frustrations out on the people closest to us because we feel safe and comfortable with them, but misplaced anger can cause more harm than good. Arguing for what we truly believe can empower us and help us to direct our passions toward greater life experiences. Truly knowing our reasons for arguing enables us to grow emotionally in ways that will affect our whole being.

Not sure of the Latin name but... the Common name for hedge apples are
Bois d' Arch. They are very large warty looking green fruit of Bois Arch tree.
They work great on water bugs or roaches. I have used them for years. But you have to put them under the floor of your house. You have to have a pier and beam foundation.
Blessings,
Linda

"CURSED"- A new series

Posted by: "castoraxis@aol.com" castoraxis@aol.com   chrischaos88

Fri May 6, 2011 7:53 pm (PDT)

The "CURSED" video series is an investigation into the paranormal, the unexplained, local lore and upholds the preservation of history, culture and architectural landmarks.

How it differs from what is already out there:

Many of the popular Non-Fictional Ghost/Paranormal TV shows (for entertainment purposes) have been glamorized and have producers on board that feel they ''have to" present something paranormal to the audience and have a tenancy to add in false items to spice the story up and to mislead the viewers. The reality of the situation is 90% of the time when a "haunted" location is investigated nothing happens. When we visit a location we educate ourselves prior to the visit concerning the story behind the lore and take it into account and attempt to either confirm or disprove the different stories, and usually there are several different versions of the same legend. Whether the stories be true or false and regardless of the lore and possible tales of hauntings, we always document what we find thru photos, videos and draft up a report of what may have occurred for public record and for the "CURSED" version of the book. "CURSED" also is not limited to "ghost hunting" as many of the current TV shows are, we also believe in preserving our local legends and history. Many of the former Asylums ( and abandoned buildings) are considered an eyesore and a burden to the community, so investors and people with no appreciation for history come in and buy the land up to use for strip malls, super stores or condos. Effectively destroying all the history and lore that might have been associated with the location.

Yes it is "fun" to go on urban explorations thru old abandoned buildings and landmarks to see what can be found, but it is also important to not deface or damage the property like so many prior that vandalize the locations. Respect the location and the neighbors that may be adjacent to the location that you are exploring. Many locations that are visited have strict "No Trespassing" rules put in effect by the local police (or County Sheriff) due to many "troublemakers" flocking to the areas after hearing about it from popular magazines or TV shows, and sometimes that does ruin it for the investigators that are there simply to observe and document the place before it gets torn down by modern convenience.

Our primary scope of location is Southern New Jersey since that is where we are based out of, but we have been invited and will also document other locations. We are not limited by geographical constraints.

Aromatherapy Tip

Most of us want to lose a few pounds before summer and Bergamot can
help.

Bergamot has been used to help compulsive overeaters. It works on the
emotional state that has contributed to the overeating.
Bergamot is uplifting, it lifts the spirits but is a relaxant, not
stimulating. It seems to help regulate the appetite by influencing
the appetite control center in the brain. It's certainly work a try.

The Path to Inner Peace

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Fri May 6, 2011 9:33 pm (PDT)

The Path to Inner Peace - By Steu Mann ***
----------------------------------------------------------

The real jewel in life is inner peace. It doesn't really matter if you already
have what you want or are still accumulating what you need. When you
don't experience inner peace you're miserable. In our society being
miserable has a couple of "recognized" expressions. One is constant
medication. Another is substance abuse. And, another is violence. I'm
no doctor and what I'm saying isn't intended as medical advice. But, I
am offering you some common sense and an opportunity to see yourself
and your world in a new light.

There are only three strategies you can use to achieve inner peace. In
a minute you can have them for free. In all honestly, these are readily
available to anyone. No corporation or country can patent 'em. No one
can put them in a bottle to sell. When you have inner peace you are
happy and satisfied with long lasting beneficial effects. My goal is to
have you understand how to achieve this jewel so you can savor it
forever. For everyone using medicine and substance to "get comfortable"
this means a big savings in cash flow.

Too many people struggle their entire life to make ends meet and die
sick or exhausted. Are you part of that growing trend? What is wrong
with a society that has everyone working themselves into the ground? In
Europe workers get two months paid vacation every year - fantastic! In
the USA we work until we croak. All along the way we are fed with fear
about how Social Security isn't going to last. Hey, I'm past middle age
and I see the turmoil people suffer income worries. This is a rat race
that doesn't need to happen.

Here some decent advice; inner peace is not a "one click" experience.
You are so used to expecting everything to show up in a very short
period of time. Click an icon on your computer and you have instant
gratification. Take a pill and you feel better. Go to the mall and buy
whatever you need - it's ready to go in a nice neat package. Tune into
the television and be inundated with news and entertainment. All this
ease of life is good and enjoyable, but it also breeds internal
laziness.

This laziness is dangerous to the very nature of your heart and Soul.
The habits you developed of this lazy crust make you dependent on
another. They hide the living, thriving, and pulsing of your heart and
Soul. They also debilitate your skill of doing any serious thinking.
When is the last time you read a book? When is the last time you
accessed your creativity without using an electronic device? When is
the last time you enjoyed the quiet of life? Better yet, when is the
last time you stopped to notice what makes you satisfied in the nooks
and crannies of your heart and Soul?

Inner peace needs not a heavy topic, nor should it be challenging your
religious beliefs. I'm just trying you to help understand where you've
built your current habits and routines. All I'm doing is pointing out
the basic framework of life for most people in this civilized world. I
have just one last question for you. Are you ready to break the trends
and truly build your inner peace?

Here are those three NEW strategies I promised. I know they'll put you
on the road to lasting inner peace.

New Ideas & Perceptions
Be willing to see life in a fresh light. Your ideas and thoughts make
your perceptions. You perceptions are like the floor you walk on every
day - after a while you just take that floor for granted. Well, it's
time to rip up the carpet. Yes, this may be uncomfortable but only
because you are losing what is "familiar" to you. Inner peace comes
from exercising you creativity. How creative is it to use the same ole
ideas and thoughts every day? Would we have the great music and
inventions you can't live without (light bulbs, computers, iPods,
texting) if people always thought the same ole thoughts and did things
the same ole way?

Exercise: Take five minutes at noon and in the evening, each day for
the next 30 days, to describe a new perspective you have experienced.
You can change the times if needed. I promise that this will help you
put a crack in your "normal" perceptions if you are willing to be open.

Energetic Living
Live each day with a goal of harmony. Allow what enters your world to
support you in expressing your joy and happiness. Look for the good
qualities and express them. Reduce the attention you use to notice the
bad/annoying aspects of other people and situations. Look for harmony
and go where you find harmony, which means be willing to be spontaneous.

Exercise: Make your first activity of the day to write down or
verbalize two harmonious goals for your day.

Whole Person Activities
Participate in activity that maximizes your creativity. This DOES NOT
include watching television, playing video games, using the computer,
or using the cell phone to text or play games. Some exercises I use for
this are reading a book that presents new ideas, meditating,
exercising, journaling, discovering positive affirmations, or spending
time in nature - walking. This is time to refresh yourself and allow
your connection to your heart and Soul to grow.

Exercise: On Monday each week plan a 30 minute block, for each day,
where you'll use your creativity. This time cannot be related to your
current job or career.

May you always have the patience to listen to your heart.
May you always have the will to exercise your divinity. ** To comment

Elder's Meditation of the Day

"The law is that all life is equal in theGreat Creation, and we, the HumanBeings, are charged with theresponsibility, each in our generation, towork for the continuation of life."

-- Traditional Circle of Elders

Every generation is accountable to leave theenvironment in healthy order for the nextgeneration. Every generation is accountableto teach the next generation how to live inharmony and to understand the Laws. We needto ask ourselves, "What are we teaching thenext generation?". Each individual is directlyaccountable.
