Why should mirrors have all the fun? I say that we turn today's 'Compliment Your Mirror Day' energies around so that it's the magical mirror's turn to compliment you, or at least it makes sure that everyone else around you does. Feng Shui says that some of the secret rituals associated with magic mirrors date from the ancient Chinese classics where references to the power inherent in this glass is enhanced further from specific action steps. These classics said that mirrors are imbued with special attributes and could be used for many different intentions. For our intent today we're going to capture some sunlight and store some potent and powerful fire energy that will make you look hot, hot, hot! On any bright and sunny day, hold a small mirror inside the palm of your hand and raise it high, tilting it to catch the sunlight. Allow for the sun to be fully reflected in the mirror but don't hold it up for any longer than nine seconds. Be sure that there aren't people around who could inadvertently affect your efforts by having their images also captured in the mirror. Holding a mirror to reflect the sun symbolizes the power of heaven meeting the beauty of earth. Now that you've activated the mirror, it's time to bring a glow to your face. The next time you apply any kind of moisturizer, shaving cream, or makeup, be sure to look directly into this mirror and keep it handy for personal and beautifying purposes only. This mirror not only brings beauty, but promises good fortune and luck as well. Now who's the fairest of them all! Yep, that's exactly what I thought you'd say!

O vastlands of innocence,
manifest destiny,

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Seeds of Opportunity Spell
What do you want to achieve before the next Full Moon? Whether it's a new job, new career, or a quick stash of cash, this spell will lead you to your goals. Start by listing the short- term goals that will lead to your long-term aims. All goals need to be specific to time and outcome and take the form of: "I will blank." For example, "I will update my resume by July 15." Once you have your goals listed, place a terra cotta pot, filled with soil, on your working space. Light a gold or a green candle that has been placed in the soil. Allowing a separate line for each, write out your specific goals. Then state these words:
"As the earth nourishes the seeds of spring, so will these seeds be nourished. "
Each time you fulfill a goal, cut off that line, bury the paper in the soil, and repeat the above words. Relight your candle during the Full Moon in celebration of meeting your goal.

Mumbly Monday--Color Test

Color Test
These are the things we're supposed to do to remove the cholesterol around our brain. It took me 2 times before I could finally tell this brain of mine to concentrate. A great test, do it until you get 100%!
Bet you can't get 100% on the first try! But I'm rootin' for ya...
This is pretty neat! See how you do with the colors! Have fun!
It takes an average of 5 tries to get to 100%.. Follow the directions!
It's harder than it seems, as it should be!

Craft Your Future
Not living the life you want to live? Why not develop some co-creation skills to work real magic in your own life, and craft your future? Using simple tools, you can imagine, shape, and create aspects of the life you desire.
While not an easy, snap-your-fingers-and-get-what- you-want technique, co-creation tools and practices can be used to produce very real and tangible results. Building on simple scientific principles, such as the universal laws of physics, and augmented by exercises in mindfulness, the magic of crafting your future is within your power.
Why not make what you dream a satisfying reality?
Practice Co-Creation
Spiritualist Edgar Cayce taught the principles of co-creation: that we shape our own future with help from higher forces. While most religions name and call upon their Higher Power as God, Allah, or another specific name, Pagans are not so defined. As Pagans our definitions of a higher power are many and varied, some of us calling upon nature, the astrological influences of the solar system, various gods and goddesses, and of course, the directions and elements.
However you define your higher power, know that you can work with it to co-create your future, manifesting your dreams and desires. Whatever higher power is at work, rest assured that you are the crucial component in creating your future. Cayce taught that our conscious attention and effort is the only way we can engage and quicken the work of the higher power, or Creator, and this produces astonishing and measurable results.
Whether done alone or in community, practicing co-creation can deftly focus intention, attract help and support, and enable you to craft your future according to your dreams.
Learn Universal Truths
Universal laws are a statement of the truths of the universe. They do not change and cannot be broken. Because everything in the universe is, at its source, energy, the universal laws that describe energy can be applied to all living entities. As such, human beings, our thoughts feelings, words, and actions, are all subject to them.
Knowledge of universal laws will help you understand the principles underlying the practice of co-creation, facilitating the development of behaviors instrumental in manifesting your highest ideals. For example, all energy is circular, a universal law describing the movement of planets, applies not just to energy molecules and atoms, but to human beings and higher powers. In the Pagan community, we cite this universal law as "what goes around comes around" or "what you sow, you shall reap."
Imagine how you could engage the power behind this universal law of energy to help you craft your future.
First, Define Your Ideals
With a look at your life, you can determine what your deeply held values are. Examine how you live, and you will see how your deeply held values shape your actions. These values and actions will enable you to draft your ideals for the future.
Ideals are very personal, guiding factors in our lives that are based on values and spiritual beliefs. Ideals differ from ideas, which are thoughts we can share with others. Ideas may have an external source in something read or heard, whereas ideals have an internal source, rooted in our deepest, or highest, self.
By identifying your values, you can draft your ideals and clearly articulate them. Stating something makes it more real, and easier for you to work toward. With the help of universal law, you engage co-creative energy in the task of creating your ideal, manifesting your future. For example, maybe you believe that the Goddess loves us and will provide for us. Looking at this belief, you can identify that you value the spiritual principle of abundance even if it is not currently evident in your life.
Make Dreams Reality
How do we make our ideals into our reality? Is it really possible to shape the future You know that you believe in abundance, but how do you make that ideal a reality in your life?
You have named your ideal, however lofty it may be; now you need to articulate how you will manifest it. Take some time to envision the ideal at work in your life, adding specific details. More than just a vague statement (I desire to live abundantly), provide finite details. Phrase your ideal in the present tense as though it already exists. I have an abundant garden. I grow good food, enough to share with neighbors.
With a defined vision, you can set a short-term, reachable goal, a finite step toward the physical manifestation of your ideal. This goal moves the ideal from vague generality to something grounded in the reality of your life. I have two empty pots. I will fill them with compost and plant those lettuce seeds.
By accomplishing a small action, enormous energy is invoked toward the physical manifestation of your lofty ideal. You have started the energy moving, and because universal laws state that energy moves in a circular fashion, rest assured that your higher power will keep the energy moving.
To increase the magical, co-creative energy you have initiated, make a routine of small actions that support your ideal. Habits ensure that co-creative energy is sustained. Now your ideals are woven into the material of your everyday life. I will weed and water my plants daily.
When you act consistently, creating and sustaining co-creative energy, you further engage the universal energy, moving you toward fulfilling your ideals. And before you know it, the small seeds you planted have grown into a finite reality. I have lots of good food to share with my neighbors. I am abundant.
These seemingly small actions demonstrate in the real world the energy behind your dream. Remember, energy is circular, so the more you act as if what you dream of is real, the more real it will become.
Focus Intention
Edgar Cayce taught that "the mind is the builder," that what you think will shape what becomes manifest in reality. By first envisioning the future, you engage the mind to create actions, habits, and routines that build your ideal in the physical world. The more detailed and finite your original vision, the greater energy you initiate toward building, so take your time to imagine your future in precise color, texture, and situation.
Any technique that helps to focus intention can be used as a tool to craft your future. Visualization, invocation, spellcraft, and ritual work all help you focus on intended results, invoke energy, and raise power. As such, all of these practices can be useful tools to employ in crafting your future. Make a habit of using the practice of magic to focus more intently on crafting your future. You can also use time in community to engage the energy of a larger group in manifesting your destiny.
Control Your Thoughts
Do you find yourself troubled by negative thinking, and worry that this will attract a negative future? Try this easy technique for transforming your thoughts.
The next time you find yourself thinking something negative about someone else (She is so mean/fat/ugly),
take the thought and turn it around. No, I don't mean to speak or think badly about yourself, but to pose the sentiment positively instead (I am glad that I am me and living my life).
None of us are perfect, and we all slip up at times. Give yourself permission, and make it a practice, to transform the negative thoughts when they occur. For me, my negative thinking often arises in the grocery store line. I find myself looking in people's shopping carts and thinking critically about them. Look, I say, it is no wonder they are so fat. Their cart is full of white bread and junk food. When I first hear this, I know I must act immediately to change my thinking--and my energy. I switch the statement around to make a positive or uplifting statement instead: I eat well and am slim, fit, and healthy.
Practicing this turnaround of thoughts helps chase away negativity. If all energy is circular, and I don't want negative energy to come back to me, I have to transform it immediately. If my energy and intent stays positive, I create positive energy, which is added to by the co-creative higher power, and eventually circles back around to me.
Do It Now
What do you dream of? Take a moment to close your eyes and think into the future. Where do you see yourself in ten years? Are you living off the land in Oregon, cultivating a garden in rural Ontario, hiking the Pacific coastal mountains, or walking down the vibrant streets of urban New York? Try to see yourself in the setting of your dreams. Feel the weather, smell the air, let yourself inhabit that space in great detail in your mind.
Don't limit your dreams to location--conjure up the details of satisfying relationships, too. In the future, are you married, single, or the head of a household chaotic with children? Or perhaps you are living solo, with your wise old dog as a steadfast companion? Let the details of your dreams become vivid.
Now, get to work and craft your future.

In the rainbow we see the beam from the eye of the sun, the spectrum of colors that pervade our world from end to end. Those who learn their own codes of color and its meaning discover ways of regulating their mood and appearance. For different people and cultures, these meanings and gifts can vary considerably. The whole rainbow spectrum of colors can be derived from ingredients in the natural world to create dyes: from the bold statement of red that grants courage, through the protective hue of orange, to the brightness of yellow that gives energy, the calming or harmonious shades of green, the joyful and sorrowful blues, the dutiful and responsible service of indigo, and the rare holiness of purple.
Color is an essential nourishment to our senses. If we are starved of color for any length of time, or our surroundings have tints that depress our spirits, we begin to feel very strange indeed. Sweet Dreams Spell
Now that Midsummer has passed, it is the perfect time to gather fresh herbs and rose petals for creating a dream sachet. To enhance peaceful dreams, make a blend of equal parts rose petals, lavender flowers, mugwort, rosemary, and lemon balm. Store the mixture in a sealed plastic bag for three days to allow the scents to mingle. Scoop one-half cup of the mixture into the center of a pretty square handkerchief or clean cloth napkin. Gather then corners and tie it with a sky-blue ribbon. As you tie up the sachet, say:
Herbs and blossoms
bring me delight,
Sweeten my dreams
with deeper insight.
Tuck the sachet into your pillowcase. You can make a few extras for your restless friends.
