Merry Meet all! I'm Deborah aka Faeth Gale. I'm living in Missouri having moved here from the East coast. It has been culture shock! I was completely "out" on the eastern side. (I'm born and raised in PA, moved to NY, and then to DC.) At my job in DC I was asked to give a blessing along with a minister who worked with me at our Thanksgiving get-together. Here, I hide. I have to say on an individual basis the few people I've told have been very nice and non-judgmental. So, I'm careful. I DO NOT mean to bash. I just live in the Bible-belt is all.

As I said, I was raised in PA on a farm, so I've always been aware of nature and the seasons. My father says you can't put your hands in the dirt and not be Pagan of some sort. My mother's side is Native American and Scottish, my father's is German. While I've been Pagan as long as I remember I have been to many different churches and many different cultures. I still consider myself "just" Pagan. By that I mean I don't have a tradition. I really want more structure and balance. I'm trying to research/find out more about the Georgian tradition. I'd like to learn more about the God(s). I'm very drawn to Persephone and know about many of the Goddesses, but the God information is lacking in me. I'm learning though! I'd welcome and help and knowledge anyone is prepared to give me.

As for my mundane life; I love to crochet, I read everything I get my hands on. I write upon occasion, love photography â€" mostly nature, not so much portraits, currently infatuated with urban decay. I am engaged to a wonderful man and together we have 4 wonderful kitties, all of the rescued/stray.

Well, that's a lot of information! I hope I didn't bore everyone do death! I tend to be a bit verbose, lol. I'll answer any questions anyone has, so just ask. I'm very happy to be here. And I like to say thank you for having me!

Blessings and Be Well!

Hi Deborah,

I grew up in Salem, MO. After I moved away, some witches moved to the town
and have created an enclave just outside town, I believe. There used to be
a fairly up to date presence on the net, but I can't seem to find anything
useful now. When I lived there the Baptists had the ascendancy.

Daily Feng Shui Tip

Daily Feng Shui Tip by Ellen Whitehurst for Sunday, June 12

A day by any other name might not be called 'Red Rose Day,' but fortunately for us, today is. It makes sense that roses would be feted in June since they grow so abundantly during this early summer month. But today represents a thorny issue for me since it is dedicated to one specific color of rose. Common cultural references would have most of us believe that the red rose symbolizes everlasting and undying romantic love, but in reality (and in many ages old traditions) it is actually the yellow rose that holds that high honor. Red roses, however, can be used most effectively when trying to heal a lover's spat or when bringing two partners back together. Grind together the petals from five long-stemmed red roses with a handful of peppermint leaves until they form a fine powder. Sprinkle this rose powder either on your sheets or add it to rice powder and dust on your body to bring about healing and reconciliation with a loved one. This makes for a buffeting bouquet that can heal any lover's quarrel or bring them back into your garden of delights.

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.

Love Each Day,
Lady Nightshayde

Elder's Meditation of the Day

Elder's Meditation of the Day - June 12

"The faces of our future generations are looking up to us from the earth and we step with great care not to disturb our grandchildren."

-- Traditional Circle of Elders

The leaves, when they are finished with their life on the trees, will return to the Earth. The leaves that return to the Earth are the future trees. So inside the Mother Earth are the future forests. The human, when finished with its life on the Earth, will return to the Earth. So in the Earth are our future grandchildren. Knowing this, we should be respectful of the place where our future generations live. Only take from the Earth what you need. Every time you pick a plant or Medicine, leave an offering and leave a prayer. Be respectful and walk in a sacred way.

Great Spirit, teach me to respect the place of future generations.

This Week's Moonscopes Forecast for June 12 to June 18

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:21 pm (PDT)

This Week's Moonscopes Forecast
For the week of June 12 to June 18
(Missed last week's forecast? Here it is.)

Sunday, Monday(*v/c-pm): the Moon is in Scorpio
Sometimes it's good to pull back from things and focus on regenerating yourself - to spend time alone in self-renewal, to get some extra sleep, or to examine what is still important and authentic to your life and what needs to be released. Scorpio is a very intense sign and doesn't pull any punches or allow for any surface-level promises. Things can be ignored or hidden away for only so long and then they have to be seriously reviewed with the ultimate goal of revival and restoration. A mental and/or physical retreat is just what the astrological doctor has ordered in these few days before the Full Moon & Lunar Eclipse.

Tuesday, Wednesday(Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse): the Moon is in Sagittarius
Mercury and Venus are in Gemini, the sign opposite the Moon's location in Sagittarius. Contacts with others, pleasant activities, cultural awareness, and belief systems are all highlighted. Benevolence and generosity are two keywords that are assigned to Jupiter, the ruler of the sign for this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse. Venus then adds to the picture with kindness and Mercury comes in with thoughtfulness.

Thursday, Friday: the Moon is in Capricorn
Often the sign Capricorn is seen as solemn and serious without much concern for anything except hard work. However Saturn, the planet that rules Capricorn is currently in Libra, the sign of its exaltation. This lightens things up considerably and makes for a nice end-of-the-week transition into the weekend. And there's still plenty of astro energy around to finish up some outstanding projects.

Saturday: the Moon is in Aquarius
Goals, ideals, long-range plans, and how something could be altered for the better are all up front for consideration when the sign Aquarius is present. This energy is kind of similar to what was going on when the Moon was in Scorpio at the beginning of this week. Aquarius can get all fired up when it comes to change, so it might be tricky to keep moderation in mind.

Check your astrology chart to find which house (section of your chart) has the current Moon sign on the cusp (the beginning edge) & apply Forecast information to that area of your life as well.
For example, the Moon is in Leo and one of the suggestions is to entertain - however Leo is located in the 12th house of your chart, which is an inward energy place...then have a small, quiet gathering. By contrast, if Leo is located in the 1st house of your chart, an outward energy place...have a party! Don't have an astrology chart? Click here .

It is interesting to note when the current Moon is in the same sign as your birth Moon and to see how the flavor of that day carries through the following 30 days.

Current Planet Positions:
Sun - Gemini, until June 22
Mercury - Gemini, until June 17
Venus - Gemini, until July 4
Mars - Taurus, until June 21
Jupiter - Taurus, until June 12, 2012
Saturn - Libra, until Oct. 6, 2012
Uranus - Aries, until Mar. 6, 2019
(Taurus, May 16, 2018-Nov. 7, 2018)
Neptune - Aquarius, until Feb. 4, 2012
(Pisces, Apr. 5-Aug. 5, 2011)
Pluto - Capricorn, until Nov. 20, 2024

Current Asteroid Positions:
Ceres - Pisces, until Jan. 20, 2012
Pallas - Aquarius, until Feb. 13, 2012
Juno - Virgo, until July 28
Vesta - Aquarius, until Dec. 21
Chiron - Pisces, until Apr. 22, 2018

Current Asteroid Transits:
Ceres - Harvest the core basics of spiritual beliefs or philosophies.
Pallas - A practical application of information is the best approach.
Juno - State clearly what is wanted in a personal partnership.
Vesta - Personal desires are mixed together with personal responsibilities.
Chiron - Transcend wounds and negativity through compassion.

Note: Timeframes for Moon signs, void-of-course periods, and current planet & asteroid positions are noted for Eastern time zone (USA). Please adjust according to your own location. Times are not given if the void-of-course Moon occurs for a very short period or if it occurs during the night (based on same Eastern time zone).

* v/c = Void-of-Course - When the Moon is void-of-course, spend time working on projects already in progress, creative endeavors, or self-improvement. Void-of-course simply means that no planets are aspecting the Moon as it gets ready to change signs. It's best not to start new projects, sign important agreements, or go shopping when the Moon is void-of-course because the result will probably be unsatisfactory in some way.

** Mercury Retrograde - the speed of the planet slows down considerably. Communications, paperwork, electronics, and traffic can become very mixed-up or delayed during this time. A situation will be in the process of changing, so wait until Mercury is direct to finalize anything. In general, maintain a slower, more cautious pace in daily affairs. Always allow at least two days before (to slow down) and after (to resume regular activities) a Mercury retrograde period. Read More about Mercury Retrograde here

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.
