Fun Friday--Ways to Stay Stressed

Ways To Stay Stressed

Are you worried now about how to stay stressed? You'll have no trouble if you practice the following clinically proven methods:

NEVER EXERCISE. Exercise wastes a lot of time that could be spent worrying.

EAT ANYTHING YOU WANT. Hey, if cigarette smoke can't cleanse your system, a balanced diet isn't likely to.

GAIN WEIGHT. Work hard at staying at least 25 pounds over your recommended weight.

TAKE PLENTY OF STIMULANTS. The old standards of caffeine, nicotine, sugar, and cola will continue to do the job just fine.

GET RID OF YOUR SOCIAL SUPPORT SYSTEM. Let the few friends who are willing to tolerate you know that concern yourself with friendships only if you have time, and you never have time. If a few people persist in trying to be your friend, avoid them.

PERSONALIZE ALL CRITICISM. Anyone who criticizes any aspect of your work, family, dog, house, or car is mounting a personal attack. Don't take time to listen, be offended, then return the attack!

MALES AND FEMALES ALIKE - BE MACHO. Never ever ask for help, and if you want it done right, do it yourself!

BECOME A WORKAHOLIC. Put work before everything else, and be sure to take work home evenings and weekends. Keep reminding yourself that vacations are for sissies.

DISCARD GOOD TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS. Schedule in more activities every day than you can possibly get done and then worry about it all whenever you get a chance.

PROCRASTINATE. Putting things off to the last second always produces a marvelous amount of stress.

WORRY ABOUT THINGS YOU CAN'T CONTROL. Worry about the stock market, earthquakes, the approaching Ice Age, you know, all the big issues.

BECOME NOT ONLY A PERFECTIONIST BUT SET IMPOSSIBLY HIGH STANDARDS......and either beat yourself up, or feel guilty, depressed, discouraged, and/or inadequate when you don't meet them.

THROW OUT YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR. Staying stressed is no laughing matter, and it shouldn't be treated as one.

The Goddess Companion

"The Goddess Companion"

You think you understand the goddess?
Even philosophers cannot explain her.
The scriptures say that she, herself,
is the essence of us all. It is she, herself,
who brings life through her sweet will.
You think you understand her?
I can only smile. You think you can
truly know her? Now you make me laugh!
But what our minds accept, our hearts do not.
Ants try to grasp the moon, we the goddess.
~Indian Poet Ramprasad

Carl Jung said that a great truth is something whose opposite is also a great truth. Life is full of ambiguities and contradictions. One of these is our desire to understand and to articulate the ineffable, the parts of life that cannot be understood and articulated. The great poet Ramprasad finds comedy in our attempts to do so - which are, however, an inevitable part of our humanity.

Learning to live with these ambiguities and contradictions means learning wisdom. It is difficult to hold two mutually contradictory facts in mind at once, and to believe them both with a full and true heart. Yet Ramprasad's Goddess, Kali, teaches us to do so. Death is frightening and comforting. Pain is inevitable and grotesquely surprising. Love is destructive and sustaining. Both are true, and often true at the same moment - great truths, whose opposites are also great truths.

For Bee Stings

Try to remove the stinger. Make a cold compress
with cold water and essential oil of Chamomile.
Leave on for several hours if possible or as long
as you can. This will help with swelling.
Apply 1 drop Chamomile neat (Undiluted) 3 times
a day for two days.

20 Great Ways to Find More Free Time

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

20 Great Ways to Find More Free Time

"The real problem of leisure time is how to keep others from using yours." - Arthur Lacey

Are there a hundred different things you wish you could do with your life someday — anything from exercising to meditation or yoga to writing that novel you always wished you could write to reading more to relaxing and watching the sunrise? But perhaps you never have the time, like most people.
The truth is, we all have the same amount of time, and it's finite and in great demand. But some of us have made the time for doing the things we love doing, and others have allowed the constant demands and pressures and responsibilities of life to dictate their days.
It's time to move from the second group back into the first. Reclaim your time. Create the life you want and make the most of the free time you lay claim to. It's not hard, though it does take a little bit of effort and diligence.

Not all of these will be applicable to your life — choose the ones you can apply and give them a try:

Take a time out. Freeing up your time starts with taking a step back to take a good look at your life. You need to block off at least an hour. Several hours or half a day is better. A whole day would be awesome. A weekend would be even more ideal, though not necessary practical for many folks. With this block of time, take a look at your life with some perspective. Is it what you've always wanted? How would you get to where you've always wanted to be? What do you enjoy doing, but don't have enough time to do? What things actually fill up your day? Are there things you could drop or minimize to make more time? We'll look at some of these things in the following items, but it starts with taking a time out to think and plan.
Find your essentials. What is it that you love to do? Make a short list of 4-5 things. These are the things you want to make room for.
Find your time-wasters. What do you spend a lot of your time on that isn't on your essential list? Take a close look at these things and really think about whether they're necessary, or if there are ways to reduce, minimize or eliminate these things. Sometimes you do things because you assume they're necessary, but if you give it some thought you can find ways to drop them from your life. Figure out what you do simply to waste time — maybe surfing certain sites, watching TV, talking a lot at the water cooler, etc. You're going to want to minimize these time-wasters to make room for the more important stuff, the stuff that makes you happy and that you love to do.
Schedule the time. As you sit down and think about your life and what you want to do, versus what you actually do, you will be looking at ways to free up time. It's crucial that you take a blank weekly schedule (you can just write it out on a piece of paper, or use your calendar) and assign blocks for the things you love — the stuff on your essentials list. If you want to exercise, for example, when will you do it? Put the blocks of time on your schedule, and make these blocks the most important appointments of your week. Schedule the rest of your life around these blocks.
Consolidate. There are many things you do, scattered throughout your day or your week, that you might be able to consolidate in order to save time. A good example is errands — instead of running one or two a day, do them all in one day to save time and gas. Another example is email, or any kind of communication — batch process your email instead of checking and reading and responding throughout the day. Same thing with meetings, paperwork, anything that you do regularly.
Cut out meetings. This isn't possible for everyone, but in my experience meetings take up a lot of time to get across a little information, or to make easy decisions that could be made via email or phone. As much as you can, minimize the number of meetings you hold and attend. In some cases this might mean talking to your boss and telling her that you have other priorities, and asking to be excused. In other cases this might mean asking the people holding the meeting if you can get the info in other ways. If so, you've saved yourself an hour or so per meeting (sometimes more).
De clutter your schedule. If you have a heavily packed schedule, full of meetings and errands and tasks and projects and appointments, you're going to want to weed it out so that it's not so jam-packed. Find the stuff that's not so essential and cancel them. Postpone other stuff. Leave big blank spaces in your schedule.
Re-think your routine. Often we get stuck in a routine that's anything but what we really want our days to be like. Is there a better way of doing things? You're the creator of your life — make a new routine that's more pleasant, more optimal, more filled with things you love.
Cut back on email. I mentioned email in an earlier point above, regarding consolidating, but it's such a major part of most people's lives that it deserves special attention. How often do you check email? How much time do you spend composing emails? If you spend a major part of your work day on email, as many people do (and as I once did), you can free up a lot of time by reducing the time you spend in email. Now, this won't work for everyone, but it can work for many people: choose 2-3 key times during the day to process your inbox to empty, and keep your responses to 5 sentences.
Learn to say no. If you say "yes" to every request, you will never have any free time. Get super protective about your time, and say "no" to everything but the essential requests.
Keep your list to 3. When you make out your daily to-do list, just list the three Most Important Tasks you want to accomplish today. Don't make a laundry list of tasks, or you'll fill up all your free time. By keeping your task list small, but populated only by important tasks, you ensure that you are getting the important stuff done but not overloading yourself.
Do your Biggest Rock first. Of the three Most Important Tasks you choose for the day, pick the biggest one, or the one you're dreading most, and do that first. Otherwise you'll put that off as much as possible and fill your day with less important things. Don't allow yourself to check email until that Big Rock is taken care of. It starts your day with a sense of major accomplishment, and leaves you with a lot of free time the rest of the day, because the most important thing is already done.
Delegate. If you have subordinates or coworkers who can do a task or project, try to delegate it. Don't feel like you need to do everything yourself. If necessary, spend a little time training the person to whom you're delegating the task, but that little time spent training will pay off in a lot of time saved later. Delegating allows you to focus on the core tasks and projects you should be focusing on.
Cut out distractions. What is there around your workspace that distracts you from the task at hand? Sometimes it's visual clutter, or papers lying around that call for your attention and action, or email or IM notifiers on your computer that pop up at the wrong time, or the phone, or coworkers. See if you can eliminate as many of these as possible — the more you can focus, the more effective you'll be and the less time you'll waste. That equals time saved for the good stuff.
Disconnect. The biggest of distractions, for most people, is the Internet. My most productive times are when I'm disconnected from the grid. Now, I'm not saying you need to be disconnected all the time, but if you really want to be able to effectively complete tasks, disconnect your Internet so you can really focus. Set certain times of the day for connectivity, and only connect during those periods.
Outsource. If you can't delegate, see if you can outsource. With the Internet, we can connect with people from all over the world. I've outsourced many things, from small tasks to checking email to legal work to design and editing work and more. That allows me to focus on the things I'm best at, the things I love doing, and saves me a lot of time.
Make use of your mornings. I find that mornings are the absolute best times to schedule the things I really want to do. I run, read and write in the mornings — three of the four things on my Essentials List (spending time with family is the other thing on the list). Mornings are great because your day hasn't been filled with a bunch of unscheduled, demanding, last-minute tasks that will push back those Essentials. For example, if you schedule something for late afternoon, by the time late afternoon rolls around, you might have a dozen other things newly added to your to-do list, and you'll put off that late-afternoon Essential. Instead, schedule it for the morning, and it'll rarely (if ever) get pushed back.
The Golden Right-after-work Time. Other than mornings, I find the time just after work to be an incredible time for doing Essential things. Exercise, for example, is great in the 5-o'clock hour, as is spending time with family, or doing anything else relaxing.
Your evenings. The time before you go to bed is also golden, as it exists every single day, and it's usually completely yours to schedule. What do you want to do with this time? Read? Spend time with your kids? Work on a hobby you're passionate about? Take advantage of this time.
Lunch breaks. If the three golden times mentioned above don't work for you, lunch breaks are another good opportunity to schedule things. Some people like to exercise, or to take quiet times, during their lunch breaks. Others use this time to work on an important personal goal or project.

Fun Friday--Why We Love Kids

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

WHY WE LOVE KIDS

NUDITY
I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when
a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark
naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from
the back seat, "Mom! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!"

HONESTY
My son Zachary, 4, came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd
dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it in
the garbage. Zachary stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my
bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a
charming little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it
fell in the toilet a few days ago.

OPINIONS
On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note
from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child
are not necessarily those of his parents."

KETCHUP
A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup to come out of the jar.
During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter
to answer the phone. "It's the minister, Mommy," the child said to
her mother.
Then she added, "Mommy can't come to the phone to talk to you right
now.
She's hitting the bottle."

MORE NUDITY
A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's
locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies
grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in
amazement and then asked, "What's the matter haven't you ever seen a
little boy before?"

POLICE # 1
While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I was
interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old. Looking up and down at
my uniform, she asked, "Are you a cop?" "Yes," I answered and continued
writing the report. "My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask
the police. Is that right?" "Yes, that's right," I told her. "Well, then," she said as
she extended her foot toward me, "would you please tie my shoe?"

POLICE # 2
It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the
station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was
barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. "Is that a dog you
got back there?" he asked. "It sure is," I replied. Puzzled, the boy
looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, "What'd
he do?"

ELDERLY
While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly
shut-ins, I used to take my 4-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds.
She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age,
particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs. One day I found her
staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself
for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered,
"The tooth fairy will never believe this!"

DRESS-UP
A little girl was watching her parents dress for a party. When she saw
her dad donning his tuxedo, she warned, "Daddy, you shouldn't wear that
suit." "And why not, darling?" "You know that it always gives you a
headache the next morning."

DEATH
While walking along the sidewalk in front of his church, our minister
heard the intoning of a prayer that nearly made his collar wilt.
Apparently, his 5-year-old son and his playmates had found a dead
robin.. Feeling that proper burial should be performed, they had
secured a small box and cotton batting, then dug a hole and made ready for the
disposal of the deceased. The minister's son was chosen to say the appropriate
prayers and with sonorous dignity intoned his version of what he thought his
father always said: "Glory be unto the Faaaather, and unto the Sonnn ..... and into
the hole he gooooes."

SCHOOL
A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just
wasting my time," she said to her mother. I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"

BIBLE
A little boy opened the big family bible. He was fascinated as he
fingered through the old pages. Suddenly, something fell out of the
Bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old
leaf that had been pressed in between the pages. "Mama, look what I found",
the boy called out." What have you got there, dear?" With astonishment in
the young boy's voice, he answered, "I think it's Adam's underwear.

Keep in Mind: As Within, So Without

Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com   nightshayde99

Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:51 pm (PDT)

Keep in Mind: As Within, So Without

This philosophical strategy has helped me many times throughout my
adult life. It's greatest value is to help you regain your perspective
when your life seems hectic or out of control. It stems from the understanding that your outer world--your environment, the noise level, the relative calm or
chaos in your life--is usually a reflection of your inner world, the degree of
peace and equanimity (or the lack thereof) your experience in mind.

Many people have a strong resistance to this strategy because it can
be quite humbling. Who wants to believe that a hectic life is caused, even in
part, by a frenzied mind. After all, it's easier to believe that your life
is hectic because of your circumstances, schedule, and responsibilities. If
you have the humility to admit, however, take this message is true, it can be
enormously helpful, because while you have little control over your outer
environment, you do have the capacity to change from the inside out.

One of my favorite books is Jon Kabat-Zinn's Wherever You Go, There
You Are. Consider, for a moment, the essence of this title. It correctly
suggests that if you are nervous, hurried, and disorganized in your home,
you'll probably find a way to re-create a similar set of facts wherever you go. For
example, have you ever met someone who is always late? Does it help if you
give that person an extra ten minutes to get ready? No, it doesn't. The reason
is simple: The habit that creates the tendency to be late isn't the
clock, or the time of day, or even the number of things to do that day. Instead, it
stems from an inner habit--the tendency to wait until the last possible minute
to leave. You can change the external facts--where the person is going, who he
or she is going to meet, and so forth, but the person will almost always find a
way to show up late. He or she will always have an array of great excuses,
but the fact remains, he or she will be late. This habit, like all the
others, comes from inside the person and is reflected in his or her life.

The most helpful part of this information has to do with the
question "What comes first, a calm mind or a calm life?" If you think about Kabat-
Zinn's title, the answer, while difficult to admit, is obvious. A calm mind
precedes a more peaceful outer life. In other words, if your life seems
overwhelming, the best place to start your improvement is within your own mind.
Perhaps you need a break or a change of pace. Maybe you need a little more time
for yourself; maybe you need to spend less time watching television and a
little more time reading helpful books. Would learning meditation or spending
time in prayer be helpful? Perhaps you need less sleep or to get up even earlier to
create some time alone. Each person is going to require a different
prescription because each of us has different needs. Yet, the very act of simply
acknowledging that the root of the problem lies within--not in the
circumstances in your life--if often helpful in and of itself because it places the blame
where it really belongs: each of us. The next time you're feeling overwhelmed
or frustrated, slow down and take a look inside. If you do, I'm certain
you'll agree that your outer life is a reflection of your inner world. By simply
noticing this connection, you may very well know what steps are needed to
solve the problem.

Winter Solstice: A Witch's Yule Story

Winter Solstice: A Witch's Yule Story

Author: Lady Abigail
Posted: December 18th. 2005

It seems that this year the Yuletide season hit the stores even
faster than last year. We seem to expect that rush from commerce, to
make a buck. While we are out buying our Thanksgiving turkey, we
expect to hear, "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas." But this year I
noticed, while I was picking up candy for the trick-or-treaters,
that Bing Crosby was already playing over the stores' intercom
systems. Then, driving home that evening, I noticed one of the homes
in my neighborhood already had up holiday lights, to include a fully
decorated tree in the window.

I just don't think the ancients had any idea that the day we honor
the returning of the sun was going to be turned into such a money-
making occasion. I am personally proud of the fact that our Pagan
traditions and celebrations are in no way responsible for this one.

Now don't get me wrong. I love the holiday of Yule and the
celebration of the Winter Solstice. I decorate, put up a tree, and
prepare a delicious Yule feast. We exchange gifts and even sing
Yuletide songs. And while it may seem odd to most, I am normally
undecorated and have everything packed away by the 25th.

But, I didn't always have the freedom to celebrate as I desired. I
celebrated the Winter Solstice and Yule within the disguised
decorations of Christmas. Perhaps all this misplaced jubilation is
one of the reasons for the `holiday blues' so many have during this
time of year.

The confusion I dealt with surrounding the Winter holidays was my
own. I knew the truth, but I learned as a child that speaking of it
was not acceptable. You could talk about Christmas, Santa, gifts,
and eating, but not the truth. Even today, our Pagan children are
not allowed the freedoms of their holiday beliefs.

Yet, once I allowed myself the freedom to rejoice within the
Solstice Rites and Yule, I found the inspiration to enjoy it all,
even when I am sitting with family members, who have no idea what I
believe, on the 25th of December.

Winter Solstice and Yule, which I learned meant, `Feast of the
Wheel,' was a celebration of the ancients. Solstice celebrations
were not concepts practiced only by the ancient Europeans; these
traditions and customs of honoring and welcoming the sun can be
found throughout history, being celebrated by people on every
continent. I learned that in this rite of Winter, we welcomed not
only the coming of a new year, but the excitement and preparation of
the rebirth of life. It was a time of readying and a time to
reflect; a time to help others and honor those who had passed into
the veil.

One of my favorite parts of this holiday is the tradition of the
Yule Log. This Yule Log is a Witch's Yule Log and is, perhaps, done
a bit differently than others of which you have heard. A Witch's
Yule Log is used to call the spirits of your loved ones that have
passed.

I can see my Great Grandmother's today. It was made of wood;
grayed by time and age. There were great
stones which made the fireplace wall and flat ones stacked at the
corners of the house that held it up from the ground. In the Winter,
the back porch was filled with wood waiting for the fire. The
windows give a warming, luminous glow from the candles placed in
them for the holiday. And in my eyes, as a child, that was what love
and peace must surely have looked like.

In December, it was fiercely cold, even in the house. You had to
wait until the fires were rekindled and had time to warm each room.
I didn't always look forward to getting out of my cozy soft bed. It
was warm and I liked being in a little nest of my own. I would sink
deep into the down mattress, bundled tightly in my Great
Grandmother's handmade quilts; each quilt made from
the past, filled with stories of people and lives long passed from
this world. But, I only needed to be called once, quickly grabbing
my clothes and running into the kitchen where it was warm. I would
stand behind the stove where the pipe came out of the wall and there
I would dress, being cautious not to touch any part of the red hot
stove.

I remember how I looked over and, on the kitchen table, saw a small
box wrapped in green and red cloth and tied with brown cord. I was
so excited and wanted to find out what might be in the box. My Great
Grandmother sat down at the table with her cup of coffee and told me
that I could open it. I shook it; it felt light. Then, as if I was
performing some great act of discovery, I opened the box to find a
big chuck of shiny, gray charcoal. I looked at my Great Grandmother
with a curious eye, wondering what secrets this small black stone
might possible hold. Smiling back at me, she said, "This is a key, a
key to a doorway of those we love, but no longer see."

That evening at sunset, Yule Eve, my Great Grandmother asked me to
help her bring in the big log we had picked for the Yule fire. She
stirred the coals in the fireplace, then put the small piece of
charcoal from the green and red box onto the coals.

Soon, the small piece of coal began to glimmer again with new life.
Then we carefully placed the new Yule Log into the fireplace. The
shadows within the room danced from the light of the fire as it grew
within the hearth. I lay on the floor looking into the fire, my chin
in my hands, as my Great Grandmother begin to explain about this key
of Yule. As she told me the stories of family that had passed, and
of those she loved, I could sense the room fill with the spirits of
those of whom she spoke. I began to see them as she did and to share
in the memories of those all about me.

The Yule Log is burned to open the doorway between the veils. The
small piece of charcoal is the key to the thinning of the veils. It
allows the years past, and today, to join, that the spirits of our
loved ones who have crossed over may join us during this holiday
season. As long as the Yule Log burns, the spirits of those you love
may cross, but only until it burns out.

While the Yule Log burns, you may talk, see, and visit with all
those you love that have passed on to other planes. It is a time to
share the stories of family and those you loved. It is a time to
share traditions and honor those who have given us our history. This
is not a scary thing, but something we look forward to each year, in
love and joy.

Before the Yule Log burns to its end, you must take a piece and save
it for the next year. (Of course, you must make sure it is
completely out, a cold coal. I know this is silly to say, but if I
don't, someone will get burned.) Save the bit of charcoal until the
next year, preferably in a red or green cloth.

The burning of the Yule Log and sharing the past is also a part of
the magick used to assure the turning of the Wheel of Life or
bringing on of the seasons. We are joined with our past as we look
forward to our future. Maybe this is where the saying, "May the
Spirit of the Season be with you always," truly comes from.

May your holiday be filled with the magick that really makes up the
season. Have a shining Solstice, happy Yule, and blessed New Year.

Colors in Dreams

Colors in Dreams

Most of the time, we dream of colors because visually we live in a colorful world. However, when those colors become prevalent or unusual in the dream, they may be an interpretive object in themselves. This is especially true if an entire dream setting in is different hues of a particular color or if a significant object seems unique for its coloring.
Since many colors have archetypal feelings and emotions attached to them, the approach taken by Jung is often helpful. However, it may be that a particular color transcends a Jungian meaning because of an experience you have had with it. If Jungian types do not fit, try freely associating significant objects from your waking life with the same color as the dream object for meaning.

Color -- positive meaning (negative meaning)
Blue -- nobility or tranquillity (depression)
Black -- power (death or mourning)
Brown -- Earth, nature (scatological)
Gray -- neutral (passionless, death)
Green -- fertility, renewal, wealth (greed, envy)
Red -- sacrifice, sex (carnality, taboo sex, humiliation, physical injury)
Orange -- adventure, change (forced change, disruptiveness)
Purple -- royalty, positive personal growth (injury)
Yellow -- enlightenment, (cowardice, illness)
White -- purity, wholesomeness, sacred ritual (emptiness)

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.

Hush little baby don't you squall
Momma's gonna buy you a crystal ball
And if you still can't see beyond
Momma's gonna buy you a magic wand
And if that wand don't change your fate
Momma's gonna teach you to levitate
And if the astral makes you sick
Momma's gonna buy you an incense stick
And if that frankincense smells rank
Mom'll buy a sensory deprivation tank
And if that tank don't float your bones
Momma's gonna buy you some some precious stones
And if those gems don't ease your heart
Momma's gonna buy you a natal chart
And if your planets go berserk
Momma's gonna buy you some bodywork
And if your aura still needs kneading
Momma's gonna buy you a past life reading
And if your destiny stays hid
Momma's gonna buy you a pyramid
And if your chakras still feel stressed
Momma's gonna take you on a vision quest
And if power animals don't come to charm ya
Sorry, kid, it's just your karma.

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.
