Those Magical Moments
Posted by: "holly@ravenoriginals.com" holly@ravenoriginals.com hollyberrysheart

Sighâ¦. It never gets old or common place.. that kissâ¦. when his lips
touch mine I find myself lost in his kiss. You know how in those
romantic movies the camera slows to focus on the couple locked in a
magical kiss.. the camera zooms in on their faces and slowly encircles
them as the background becomes fuzzy and fades away â¦. as if the world
around them has completely disappeared⦠well thatâs exactly how I
feel every time my husbandâs lips touch mine.
No matter what else in the world is going on ⦠my worries and my
stress lessen and I am lost in the magic of a single kiss. Moments I
treasure ⦠moments that stay with me long after they are gone.
Take time in your life to treasure those moments⦠a kiss, a warm
embrace, a glance in your direction, a smile, a touch ⦠time passes so
quickly and our lives are filled with things to be done.. donât let
these small but priceless treasures get lost in the busy⦠busy ..
hustle of day to day living.
When those moments come ⦠take in the moment and relish it ⦠allow
yourself to truly be in that moment and not elsewhere.
Many Blessings,
Raventalker

Today's Goddess: Wohpe Shooting Star Night (Various Locations) .
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Today's Goddess: Wohpe
Shooting Star Night (Various Locations)
.
Themes: Wishes; Peace; Beauty; Pleasure; Cycles; Time; Mediation
Symbols: Falling Stars; Sweetgrass; Peace Pipe
About Wohpe: This Lakota Goddess's name literally means "meteor". Among the Lakota
she is considered the most beautiful of all goddesses. She generates
harmony and unity through the peace pipe, and pleasure from the smoke of sweetgrass. Stories also tell us that she measured time and created
the seasons so people could know when to perform sacred rituals. When a meteor falls from the sky, it is Wohpe mediating on our behalf.
To Do Today: Go stargazing! At this time of year, meteors appear in the region of
the Perseids, as they have since first spotted in A.D. 800. People
around the world can see these (except for those who live at the South
Pole). If you glimpse a shooting star, tell Wohpe what message you want her to take back to heaven for you.
To
generate Wohpe's peace between yourself and another (or a group of
people) get some sweetgrass (or lemongrass) and burn it on any safe fire source. As you do, visualize the person or people with whom you hope
to create harmony. Blow the smoke in the direction where this person
lives, saying,
"Wohpe, bear my message sure; keep my intentions ever pure.
Where anger dwells, let there be peace. May harmony never cease."
Afterward, make an effort to get a hold of that person and reopen the lines of communication.

Greek Hymn to Aphrodite
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Mon Aug 15, 2011 8:21 pm (PDT)
Anchises, seeing the Goddess, thought:
how marvelous she is, how astonishingly large,
how beautiful! And how ell dressed!
She wore a robe so bright it flashed like fire,
and spiral bracelets and around her fair neck
necklaces so lovely they shone like to Moon
against her fair breasts - her breasts! How astonishing!
~ Greek Hymn to Aphrodite
The broad sweep of the earth, full with grain, is a beautiful sight. The grand vista of mountains, protecting the fruited
plains, is a beautiful sight. Yet a large woman is, today, considered unsightly rather than beautiful.
In ages past, however, the Goddess was depicted in tremendously various ways. Sometimes she was a slight girl,
sometimes a wrinkles matron; sometimes she was slender, sometimes robust. Women's bodies, in their endless
variation, deserve to be accepted and revered for their unique sand individual beauty. Such an acceptance is
extraordinarily hard to maintain in our culture, but until we can accept our bodies, we can not accept ourselves.
We are marvelous, we are astonishing, we are beautiful, just as we are.

your pick.
