Regarding Hating Humans

Humans, as a species, are arrogant, stupid, and afraid. I empathize with your frustration with people who seem to NOT CARE about their earth and fellow species. If I think about it, ... oh the rage that would rise in me ... I understand. I prefer animals. They are not intentionally cruel. They do what they have to to survive. If you treat them with love, they respond with love...

I didn't get online to rant though; I take it out of the law. I want to say -- don't focus on the jerks. Don't focus on the groups of IDIOTS who are hellbent on destroying this Earth. Focus on fellow Pagans, Wiccans, Witches. Focus on the individuals you meet. Spread positive energy and positive action, person by person (animal by animal) (etc.)

I know it isn't easy. I am learning not to focus on the jerks, but finding what I can do to affect change, isn't easy. That's one reason why I joined this group ... to increase the power of positive think, positive energy...

I thought this was cute...

WOMEN WHO KNOW THEIR PLACE

Barbara Walters did a story on gender roles in Kabul , Afghanistan , several years before

our involvement in the Afghan conflict. She noted that women customarily walked five

paces behind their husbands.

She recently returned to Kabul , and observed that women still walk behind their husbands.

Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem to, and are

happy to, maintain the old custom.

Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked,

"Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?"

The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, "Land Mines."

No matter what language you speak or where you go,

Moral of this story is:

BEHIND EVERY MAN, THERE'S A REALLY SMART WOMAN

Fae Kisses

This is kind of old...it happened to me in the beginning of summer...saw the Fae post (trying to catch up...getting katsup...lol) thought I would share. Thank you all for the prayer and energy...it is helping. Maybe I should have gotten online before heehee <shrugs>
Gae

Hello All,
Yesterday the most curious thing happened. It was like a fairy tale (no pun intended). After doing something stupid and asking the Crone for help, I was outside in the Sun, reading a very odd book, relaxing and I took off my newly charged Quartz Crystal. Lying down, I began to see the Fae Folk. I have always seen them, they only come out or are visible at least in the Sun. I don't think I knew what they were before, but with my newly renewed spirituality, I knew right away. The are beautiful, tiny little creatures if you take the time and open your Eye. I asked them to bless my Crystal and MySelf and to please not bite for I heard they will. I guess they did not sense danger for they all gathered together around I and my crystal and a bright blue light formed around my crystal. I could "hear them" in my mind tell me to bond the blessed Crystal with my blood. Then they seemed to dispurse back to tending the field or whatever was on the agenda...THEN, I
shit you not...One of the Fae kissed me on the ankle. I do not think I am the same anymore. Somehow I feel extra special, but I realised that maybe I was all along and not feeling worthy?? This morn., I placed three drops of my blood on the Crystal and thats that. I still do not feel the same and do not want to. I came to a realization of the difference in intent and Will. In the past, I almost considered these almost synonymous. Will is like blunt, directed force. Any feedback? Please comment. Has anything like this happened to you or anyone you know??
Blessings,
Gae (

Adobe products are virtually the same, PC or Mac, you just have to remember that the command key on a Mac is the control key on a PC, and the option key on a Mac is the Alt key on a PC. With the pen tool, it's easier to make your starting point and then use the option/alt key to fine tune as you go along. example you want to crop out a leaf from a plant and it has a long curved shape. Make your 1st point and then the 2nd point goes on the leaf where it changes direction or straightens out. Now with your white arrow tool select your 1st point, you will see 2 toggles. Holding down your option/alt key select one of the toggles with the white arrow. you can now adjust the curve until it fits against the leaf. Do this with the other toggles and points until you are happy. Repeat these steps and soon you will have a perfect outline of your leaf or what ever you are working on.

I do not this it is humans or the people you hate, it is just there behavior. I have often said that I feeling like an adult on a planet full of toddles. Most people I know are so immature that often makes me wish that I was in the past or sometime in future with the hope that the future is kind of like Star Trek. In the sense of advanced technology and what seems to be a growth in human behavior that might completable to a young adult (or rather some young adults.) I know I could go to the future but the method of getting there hold one of the greatest risks one could face.

Perhaps if one rich guy wished to go to the future coupled with my idea it might work and the risk would be less, but still very great.

I work for a newspaper and there is an article that is going in tomorrows papers that just makes me ashamed to call myself human! There is a community that is freaking out because the Green Act has made it possible for large solar panels to be used in residential area. They are signing petitions and consulting lawyers, saying that the government has no right to "do" this to them that they want to be compensated for having to look at such an "eyesore". How are we ever going to fix this poor planet with idiotic people like this? People all over complain about how ugly wind turbines and solar panels are. Apparently they like paying thousands of dollars to hydro and gas companies. I personally like the look of wind turbines and solar panels aren't ugly either, I just don't get people. There is always such outrage when there is an oil spill or something like that but when it comes to green energy, planet saving projects no way not in their
neighborhoods/ backyards, they might have to look at it. Captain Double Standard strikes again!

OK...that's my vent

Elder's Meditation of the Day

"The best teachers have shown me that things have to be done bit by
bit. Nothing that means anything happens quickly - we only think it
does."

-- Joseph Bruchac, ABENAKI

There are no short cuts. Every tree must grow according to the growth
plan of the Creator. Every flower must grow according to the plan of
God. The moon must make its trip around the earth according to God's
plan. Every human being must grow according to the plan of the Creator.
Sometimes we look at ourselves and we think we are not growing but we
are always growing. Because we cannot see it with our mind does not
mean it is not happening. We must be patient with ourselves and let the
Creator direct our growth.

My Creator, let me be patient. Let me realize that You are in charge of
all things. Let me realize that I must grow my roots a little at a time
to become strong.

Housecleaning Hints

Housecleaning Hints

-- Windows: Layers of dirty film on windows and screens provide a
helpful filter against harmful and aging rays from the sun. Call it an
SPF factor of 15 and leave it alone.

-- Cobwebs: Artfully draped over lampshades reduce the glare from the
bulb, thereby creating a romantic atmosphere. If someone points out that
the light fixtures need dusting, simply look confused and exclaim
"What? And spoil the mood?" (Or just throw glitter on them and call
them holiday decorations.)

-- Pet Hair: Explain the mound of pet hair brushed up against the
doorways by claiming you are collecting it there to use for stuffing
hand-sewn play animals for underprivileged children. (Also keeps out
cold drafts in winter.)

-- Guests: If unexpected company is coming, pile everything unsightly
into one room and close the door. As you show your guests through your
tidy home, rattle the door knob vigorously, fake a growl and say, "I'd
love you to see our den, but Fluffy hates to be disturbed and the shots
are SO expensive."

The light of a hundred stars cannot equal the light of the Moon.

Love Each Day,

Lady Nightshayde
