Where to begin?

A few years ago I was a member of 2 or 3 yahoo wiccan groups. Whenever I had a problem I couldn't address by conventional means and needed discretion and advice beyond what I could get from my personal network, I would go to those groups. I enjoyed those groups but over time participation dwindled and the groups either closed or became lists of advertisements for occult materials and events. The online community atmosphere was lost.
I have found myself in a situation where I once again need to access the wisdom and knowledge of others and hope I can find that here or at least be directed to an appropriate place.
There are some things I would not share with most of the people I know since they are not really like-minded and would more likely send me off to the mental care facility than give support or any relevant advice.
So, the question is, where do I begin?

Hello everyone, My wiccan name is Selene. I am 17 and a couple months
into Wicca. I have read one book and studied many things on the internet
and I have to say this religion is the one for me. I have been searching
my whole life for something I could put my faith in, and this is
definitely it. I am from Germantown MD, and really the real reason I
came to post this is to maybe get some help with starting out. I would
also appreciate anyone or any store that sells Wiccan supplies for a
very low price, as I have fallen on hard times.

Spell/Ritual To Remember A Past Life
Items Needed:
1 white Candle, 1 mirror, Yourself
Set the candle next to the mirror so the light from it can hit your face, but so that you will not see the candle in the mirror.
Turn off the lights and sit in front of the mirror.
After this is done, look into your eyes and say these words:
"Oracle of lunar light, Send me the second sight"
Stare into your eyes and try not to blink. Your reflection will dissolve and another will appear. Try to look at the face, body, clothing and surroundings.
After you do this, you may have emotions that you can not explain. Don't worry, they will go away in a few minutes.
You may have to say these words a few times and stare into your reflection for a while. Remember to concentrate.

Thank you for posting this. I have forwarded it to a couple of friends and to my work email so I may print it out and have it at my desk. I needed to read this today.
I have had many years of things not working right, I just wasn’t learning the lesson. That has changed over the past couple of months and am now on the right path. My career is amazing (I’ve only been there a week!) My home life, financial and love life are all coming together.

Spirit has been whispering in my ear this morning and leading me to
write a bit about the road we travel…. bare with me, for sometimes
when I get these type messages from Spirit .. I seem to ramble…
Our roads are never perfectly clear from beginning to end and certainly
not smooth …. along the way we are to encounter many obstacles .. it
is not so much the obstacles that are important but how we handle these
obstacles.
Each obstacle is an opportunity to learn and to grow.
At times our road may become dark and it will take a lot of inner
strength to make it through. This is where Spirit screams and shouts
and wants me to make it clear to everyone that the path does not stay
dark for too long, although at the time it may seem unending to the
traveler.
The light will return … when it returns is entirely up to you.
You may not feel that it is in your control but Spirit urges me to say
.. YES.. YES indeed it is.
The decisions you make along this path can keep you in the dark ….
seemingly isolated, burdened and distressed. Spirit again urges me to
make sure this is SEEMINGLY … not REALITY.
The reality is that there are other choices you can make that will take
you out of the darkness much quicker.. though the choices may not be all
that clear to you at the time .. they may “feel†impossible .. or
they may “feel†harder than the choice you have currently made.
Stop! Calm Yourself… Focus.. then step back from your situation and
look at it from other points of view.
Step outside of your own situation and imagine that it is someone else
going through this dark period.. now think of what advice you would give
that other person.
See? Things start becoming more clear to you. You see that there are
other options. They may not be easy but they are there.
The important thing to know is that they are there… Think about this
long dark road you are currently on. Now think of how hard it would be
to continue down this road in the darkness for an undetermined amount of
time… now think of those other options and though they may seem hard
to commit.. once committed to finding another way .. you’ll find the
darkness nothing more than a memory.
Whatever you do … do your best … mistakes will be made.. that is a
given .. focus on doing your best and giving your best … mistakes are
merely lessons for growth and knowledge.

The reality is that there are other choices you can make that will take
you out of the darkness much quicker.. though the choices may not be all
that clear to you at the time .. they may â€Å"feel� impossible .. or
they may â€Å"feel� harder than the choice you have currently made.
Stop! Calm Yourself… Focus.. then step back from your situation and
look at it from other points of view.
Step outside of your own situation and imagine that it is someone else
going through this dark period.. now think of what advice you would give
that other person.
See? Things start becoming more clear to you. You see that there are
other options. They may not be easy but they are there.
The important thing to know is that they are there… Think about this
long dark road you are currently on. Now think of how hard it would be
to continue down this road in the darkness for an undetermined amount of
time… now think of those other options and though they may seem hard
to commit.. once committed to finding another way .. you’ll find the
darkness nothing more than a memory.
Whatever you do … do your best … mistakes will be made.. that is a
given .. focus on doing your best and giving your best … mistakes are
merely lessons for growth and knowledge.

needing a spell

During this waning moon, this upcoming Saturn Saturday, for endings, I wan to get rid of negative self talk (you know guys, that negative stuff we tell ourselves sometimes?) There is magic in simply changing what you tell yourself so that you FEEL different. I would be interested in some written spells anyone might have to offer. Dont worry about planetary hours or anything, i am beyond 101, i just want to deviate from writing my own. maybe someone will write something that is just meant for me. thanks in advance guys. B.B.

Merry Meet, I somewhat sponsor a group of Wiccan men in a NC prison, recently a few wanted to discuss the teachings of R. Buckland. The group leader refuses to touch the topic due to the fact that Buckland is shunned by the Wiccan community. Any ideas on what I can tell the men what they can do, which will still be respectful to their leader??

Im wiccan and have been for over 10 yrs. From what ive seen buckland is one of the most recommended writers for wiccan and witchcraft. He did train under gerald gardener(spl?). What is the problem the leaer has with buckland?

i don't know if i really want to have a set religion or a set belief system . i am sorry if i upset anybody by posting my non wiccan posts . i am trying to figure out how i want to live the rest of my life . i m scared of black magic and i m scared of surgeries .

Agree with you Robert, one can have a personal innate sense of ethics which give one guidance without it being encrypted into any religion or tradition. One may enjoy the energy, of nature, and choose to work with it, such as through healing with herbs, crystals, growing native trees, perhaps selling them locally. As i do. And appreciate others who share this interest. And appreciate the Truth as it is given directly, from those who have realised it. There is no particular path, but if one has a sincere desire to evolve and become, the best that they can be, then one naturally wants to do the right thing. And will take the time to discover what that is, in any given situation.

i am so much into black magic . i love my life but only because i am into my beliefs i have . but without my current beliefs i know i would not be doing as well as i am . i know i don't have to have a set religion or a set belief system and i am still trying to keep progressing so i can go back to work soon . i have a hernia and i need to get surgery to fix the problem but it is a long process . i need to prepare myself for the cat scan and if the scan shows i need surgery then i have to set up a time to get that and i am not completely looking forward to that but i want to look and feel better . i know i will be knocked out before surgery starts on me . i hope i can go home soon after everything is fixed . i was told i cant get any more stomach surgeries . but after i was told that i had another one and now i m having another one . i don't want to die .

Just curious why practice black magic? I myself am a healer and protector and i couldnt do those with black magic. I also reajize that what i put out will come back to me and have experienced the ass-biting for something ive done. What scares you so much about dying? What makes you thhnk youll die from this surgery?
