Autumn!!!!!

Autumn is upon us within the next few days… can you feel it?
The air becoming crisp and cool, the leaves gently drifting toward the
ground and all things in nature preparing for the winter that is to
come.
You may feel torn at this time with so many things to be done and the
feeling of so little time to complete your tasks… calm down and
relax.. know that it is simply nature taking its course. Just as the
squirrels are busily running around gathering nuts and preparing their
winter nests … we as humans do the same but most don't even
recognize this as a seasonal feeling.
In the days of old, this is exactly what we would do .. prepare for the
coming winter. Harvests would be stored and our homes would be readied
for the cold. Today we have central heat and air and grocery stores to
take care of all that.. but for centuries those things didn't exist
and we had to physically do these things ourselves at this time of year.
So you see, that feeling still stirs within us when the air begins to
cool… we have simply forgotten why.
Understanding nature and your own bond with it … consciously or not
… will help you during these times. You feel this stirring within you
and yet have a hard time understanding why.. this frantic need to hurry
and get things done … but once you understand why this feeling stirs
within … then you can relax and let go … you can see more clearly
and are more able to manage life's tasks.

Out in my corner of the world, the Canadian Geese are heading south again.
Sometimes they can be heard, cheering each other on. Then in the sky, is the
tell-tale V and we know that the summer is past.

And they all come here. They are like a lot of northerners, they find NC pleasant! In fact, we have quite a few flocks that remain year round.

I need help seeing my son

I am in a situation where it was better for my ex to keep custody of
my son, I voluntarily gave him custody. After 2 years his new wife
came to me asking to adopt him. They are both good parents and take
good care of him and told me they would never keep him from me. We ran
into some communication problems in the beginning of 2011. I have been
trying to make arrangements to see him and i keep getting shot down at
every pass. we had arranged to have him be at my wedding (which was in
the beginning of august) and at the last minute, they decided it would
be better if he didn't come. so I agreed to come visit today and
yesterday they told me I couldn't see him because he doesn't want to
see me. which I know they are influencing. my ex's wife is wanting me
to forget about my son (who will be 6 in November) but i refuse. i
legally have no parental rights, which at the time I agreed to because
I believed that they wouldn't keep my son from me but I don't know
what to do. I haven't seen or spoken to him since last December right
before Christmas. His aunts and uncles and grandparents and great
grandparents do not want to be excluded from his life. I am not trying
to get custody, he is happy and is being raised with several step
siblings and I would never take that away from him. All i want is to
be able to continue to be apart of his life. I want this lady (Angie)
to understand that she is hurting him and me both by keeping us apart.
at this time they have moved and refuse to give me their address. I am
at a loss. Please if anyone has any ideas or a direction that I can go
please let me know. The legal system is of no help because I signed
the papers for him to be adopted. My only hope is that I can help her
understand that we can both be in his life and that i am not trying to
interfere, I just want to see my son.

simple tai chi useful in magic

I know many people who want to learn tai chi but can't find instructors or who do not have the luxury of having months to dedicate to learning a tai chi form. So I have made an instructional video which teaches how to move in a tai chi fashion, so people can start getting the benefits of doing tai chi right away: http://smilingchi.com/taichi/ TaiChi.html
This is a great practice to add to ritual. Being done before a ritual it can calm and relax you while at the same time energising you for your ritual. Done at the end of a ritual, it can be helpful for grounding and adjusting your energy.
