Tradition and the internet globalization of information and knowledge, in this computer age. The ability of individuals to transfer information freely, and to have instant access to knowledge, information can also be shared in a matter of seconds wherever a person may be.
The global communications and networking is shaping modern magicksociety magick.
People in this computer age, know a
lot of things more than what the great thinkers, philosophers and
scientists of the ancient times. With access to more information than
some of the greatest minds in history such as Da Vinci, Isaac Newton,
Beethoven, Michelangelo and Socrates ever had in their lifetimes,
without widespread access to libraries As the internet connects people
from the other side of the globe, people are like jacks of all trades
but they are a master of none.
As the internet connects people from the other side of the globe, with
the uses of cell phones,digital cameras, information can also be shared
in a matter of seconds wherever a person may be, the globalization of
information and knowledge.
The internet Wizardry/Wicca/Paganism teachers, helps us to gain
knowledge through fellowship with other of like mind and knowledge.
There was a time when you could only get this information and
knowledge, by meeting a teacher in person. We're about freedom,
openness and personal responsibility.
This is why in 1986 the Church of Wicca,felt that the traditional coven
structure made it difficult for newcomers to find their way into the
Craft. The internet would come a inline coven or fellowship and doing
public Craft. At a time that the fact of doing public ritual and
invitation to an open meeting was considered a pretty radical idea.
The fact that various members came from a mix of other traditions. We
learn as much about them as possible, to be familiar with and
respectful of other cultures that allows for the existence of truth in
a multitude of places. We adhere to the thought that all paths are
equal and relevant.
Some number-remain very private and secretive for fear of persecution and undue harassment.
