Hi Ken,

I agree that being informed is a good thing, but don't forget that Wikipedia is written collaboratively by largely anonymous internet volunteers who write without pay. Anyone with internet access can write and make changes to Wikipedia articles.

As clearly stated at the top of the Munay-ki Wikipedia page, this article has multiple issues:

It relies largely or entirely upon a single source. (Tagged since February 2009.)
Its factual accuracy is disputed. (Tagged since February 2009.)
The notability of this article's subject is in question. If notability cannot be established, it may be listed for deletion or removed. (Tagged since February 2009.)
It may be unbalanced towards certain viewpoints. (Tagged since February 2009.)

I suggest that anyone interested in this should also read the "Discussions" page at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Munay-ki where people outline and discuss their concerns about the "unbalanced" nature of the Munay-ki Wikipedia article - lots more good info there giving a more *balanced* view about the origins and authenticity of these rites.

Cheers,
Jenny
