Greetings Friends and Family,
Be sure to catch my You Tube video at the end of this email as I present
to the American Academy of Religion on Goddess Thealogy for a
Sustainable Future. Then also see the line up for *June guests* on
Voices of the Sacred Feminine.
Please tune in to our awesome shows every Wednesday at 6PM PST/9PM EST
or later from the archives at your convenience --
*THIS WEDNESDAY....*
Independent researcher/writer, *Rachel Tabachnick* discusses *Sarah
Palin*'s background in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement and why this
is very different from stereotypical white, male-led fundamentalism.
We'll discuss the "prayer warriors" and the views of the NAR on women's
roles, as well as *why this all makes Palin's religious background an
issue for voters. *
Following my show with journalist Rachel Tabachnick about Sarah Palin
and her church, I've asked one of the Foremothers of the Women's
Spirituality Movement, *Charlene Spretnak*, author of Missing Mary, to
come on the show and discuss the *tension over Mary among the three
branches of Christianity* still prevalent today.

Goddess is a Democrat !! Imagine the feedback from that statement in my
interviews with Riane Eisler and Starhawk on my radio show, Voices of
the Sacred Feminine. But what were we really saying in that statement
that might not have been immediately evident? We were saying the
strategy to move us toward that paradigm shift, into a post-kyriarchal
world, would not just be the use of secular law, but through a change in
thealogy - the mythology of the Sacred Feminine, deity, archetype and
ideal, might re-establish the foundations on our planet necessary for
sustainable future for all life and Mother Earth. Hear the line of
thought....presented at the WECSOR/American Academy of Religion by Dr.
Rev. Karen Tate. For more info go to www.karentate.com

You may need to turn all of yor furniture over to check. I adopted a lovely
feline who made the INSIDE OF MY COUCH her home away from home. Ripped the
lining and slipped in there. I only knew because the dogs were always sniffing
under the couch...and when I checked, there she was!

My daughters cat can find hiding spots and you can't find her....this might
sound strange check under your bed inside the boxspring I couldn't find a cat I
adopted then I found that she ripe a hole in my boxspring and hides in there
took a long time to find her
Mari-Anne Mahlau 3:31pm May 30
Cats have a great talent for hiding and not being found if they don't want to. I
will bet that he is just hiding somewhere curled up. I remember when I moved in
with my ex husband....he thought he lost my cat who I'd just brought there to be
with his other 2.....all day he looked. He had lived in that condo for 10
years.........he was heartbroken and told me when I got home from work. The cat,
upon hearing my voice, came out of nowhere seemingly. We think she was tucked
behind boxes in a closet.
I'm sure he is fine.
Put food out in the open (if you can and don't have other pets that will eat it)

we are worried that he is in the house and we won't find him til he smells!

News from Peaceful Paths, June 2011 Butler NJ

Say not, I have found the truth, but rather, I have found a truth.
Say not, I have found the path of the soul. Say rather, I have met the soul
walking upon my path.
For the soul walks upon all paths. The soul walks not upon a line, neither does
it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.
Kahlil Gibran
Hi everyone! Namaste.
In the beautiful depths of Buddhism, "the Elephant, with noble gentleness,
serves as a symbol of the calm majesty possessed by one who is on 'the path'."
And still, we must ask, are we not all on 'a path'? At Peaceful Paths, it
seems the Elephant would better represent the Mountain. The one Mountain, in
all its 'calm majesty', upon which there are many paths. Perhaps the more we
recognize there is but one Mountain, the more we recognize the oneness of all
paths. There is sacredness in every step we take, no matter the path, but a
single step taken with awareness goes farther than a thousand steps taken
without.
Come join us at Peaceful Paths to explore and share your Path!

INTRODUCTION TO WICCA!
With High Priests Sage & Matthew
Saturday, June 11, 2011 Begins at 4:00p.m. FREE!
Wicca is a positive, nature-oriented Pagan religion derived from very ancient
roots. It is not evil. It is not devil-worship. The origins of the word
'Wicca' are believed to have come from the Anglo-Saxon word meaning "wise one"
and Wicca is known, therefore, as "The Craft of the Wise"!
This class, as the title implies, is meant to serve as an introduction to
Wicca. Join us and bring your questions, doubts and curiosity about Wicca to
this event for FREE! Beginning in June, Priests Sage & Matthew will present a
13 week course entitled Wicca 101. Whether you are a beginner looking for some
guidance, a solitary practitioner in search of some formal training, or simply
have a desire to learn more about this deep and ancient spirituality, this
class will be the perfect opportunity to learn a fair mix of tradition,
technique, history, myth, magick and mystery!
Feeling a deep connection to magick and myth all of his life, Priest Sage has
been following the Wiccan path for the past 13 years. He is a 1st Degree
Wiccan High Priest, initiated in the Alexandrian/Gardnerian traditions, but now
practices a more eclectic style of Wicca. As a High Priest, he has lead &
performed countless rituals and ceremonies with many circles and groups in the
Pagan community.
Matthew is an initiated 1st Degree Wiccan High Priest who was taught in the
stylings of the Alexandrian/Gardnerian traditions. Although initiated just
over 3 years ago, he has always had a deep interest in the magickal arts and
has performed & participated in many rituals and ceremonies in the Pagan
community as well.

NEW MOON HERBAL WISDOM CIRCLE
Featuring 'Green Witch' Herbalist, Robin Rose Bennett!
Thursday, June 2, 2011 7:00-9:00p.m. $20.00
The New Moon is the perfect time to form an intention in meditation and commit
to it in the fertile field of your imagination. Working magically and
meditatively with common herbs and the cycles of the moon brings about a
reconnection with the divine feminine (and if you are a woman, with your female
body). Marking the new and full moons offers a profound, transformative
spiritual practice that alters how you perceive and actually experience the
unfolding of time. This circle will help you guide your own spiritual path and
clarify your intentions so you can *womanifest* (or manifest) your dreams.
Robin Rose Bennett is a writer, green witch, an herbalist, a wisewoman... one
who loves the earth and gives voice to the healing wild food and medicine
plants which surround us. She has taught herbal medicine since 1986 -in
hospitals, medical schools, progressive learning centers and most joyously,
outside with the plants. Visit her website at www.robinrosebennett.com.

DailyOM - Why We Lash Out
Today's DailyOM brought to you by:
May 31, 2011
What Lies Beneath
Why We Lash Out
It is human nature to sometimes lash out at others, but we can learn to navigate
our feelings without losing our center.
Each one of us has experienced situations where weâve found ourselves lashing
out at someone without meaning to. We later berate ourselves for losing control
and feel guilty for treating the other person badly. And while it is human
nature that our emotions and moods will get the better of us from time to time,
we can learn to navigate our feelings and negotiate difficult situations without
losing our center.
Often, when we lash out, it is because we are having a difficult time containing
the emotions that are coming up inside of us. We may be feeling overwhelmed,
afraid, frustrated, stressed out, or angry. Having these feelings boiling up
inside of us can be very uncomfortable, and it is natural to want to release
them. But when we release our feelings from our body by directing them outward
and toward someone else, they inevitably impact the âinnocent bystanderâ to whom
we are directing this energy. They not only get the brunt of our anger,
frustration, or stress, but also they can actually experience this energy as a
physical force hitting their bodies.
When you find yourself in a situation where you are about to lash out at the
person in front of you, try to center yourself by breathing slowly and deeply. A
few slow inhales and exhales can help dissipate the intensity of your feelings
before they escape you. Later, when you find yourself in a more reflective
state, sit down for a moment; recall the feelings in your body just before and
during your outburst; note where you feel sensations coming up in your body; and
ask yourself if they are connected to any core issue or experience from your
life. If nothing comes to mind, then revisit the situation again, exaggerating
the details of what happened by indulging in outlandish âwhat ifâ fantasies.
Exaggerating events after the fact can help expose the unconscious subtext
behind your heated response. Understanding the motivation behind your reactions
can help you avoid lashing out again when a similar situation comes up. In
learning to navigate around your emotions, you are gi! ving yourself the tools
to feel better the next time your emotions start to boil. In doing so, you will
be taking care of yourself by alleviating your own uncomfortable feelings while
respecting and protecting those around you.

Pagan Living
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wiccan
This week, we're looking at a huge clusterfumble involving a blogging contest -
it's all been resolved now, but it's still worth reading about. Also, Kentucky
is offering tax incentives to a theme park called Ark Encounter, and the Tea
Party doesn't like public schools' Constitution lesson plans because they're not
Christian enough. Finally, some nifty archaeological finds are discovered thanks
to satellite technology. Have a magical week, and remember you can Follow
Pagan/Wiccan on Twitter or Join Me On Facebook.
Because Christianity Doesn't Own "Faith"
Over at Circle of Moms, a battle is raging, and it's unfortunate indeed. Here's
the scoop. Circle of Moms is a lovely website which rounds up a bunch of
different blogs from around the web and groups them into categories so you don't
have to go searching all over creation for things you might want to read about.
It's aimed at the "mom" demographic, obviously, but it contains some pretty good
content by some very talented writers. Currently, they're running a poll to
determine which are the top twenty-five faith blogs written by moms. The contest
runs until ... Read more
New Pyramids Found by Satellite Imaging
OK, well, they're not new, they're really really old, but they're new
discoveries, and that's pretty amazing. The BBC reports that Egyptologist Dr.
Sarah Parcak and her team have found seventeen previously unknown pyramids by
analyzing images from satellites orbiting the earth. Although the satellites are
hundreds of miles up in space, they're ... Read more
Tea Party Wants to Change Public School Curriculum
The Tea Party wants to change public school curriculum. Specifically, they want
to change the way American public schools teach about the Constitution - because
the way it's currently being done doesn't put any emphasis on the document's
divinely inspired origins. Here's some background:
Back in 2002, President George W. Bush introduced an annual "Constitution Week".
A couple of years later, Congress announced that any school accepting public
money had to teach students about the Constitution during ... Read more
KY OKs Tax Breaks for Bibical Park
The Kentucky Tourism Development Finance Authority has voted to grant more than
$40 million in tax rebates for a $172 million Biblical theme park, which will
include a re-creation of Noah's Ark built to biblical specs, the Tower of Babel,
a walled city, a first century Middle Eastern village and of course, a petting
zoo. Back in December, it was announced that the park would not be permitted to
discriminate based on religion when it came to hiring practices, even though the
main backer, Answers in Genesis requires its employees to sign a ... Read More

What's Happening Today:
Waning Moon, the period between the Full Moon and the New Moon. This is a time
for banishing and rejecting things in our lives that we no longer wish to carry
around with us.
Symbolic of letting go, surrender, release, quiet time, contemplation, and a
time of incubation.
une takes its name from Juno, the Roman Goddess of love and marriage. Not
surprisingly, June became the traditional month for marriage in Rome, and it
continues to enjoy tremendous popularity for weddings today. Besides this, June
is the favored month for flower festivals, likely due to the abundance of
earth's blossoms around this time of year.
By Christine Cox
Goddess Juno
June's energies are focused on socialization and activity. It is a capricious
month, filled with young love, romance, and the companionship of good friends.
Any magic aimed at enhancing one's relationships, communication skills, and the
personal energy level necessary for maintaining both will be augmented by
working during this month
June Moon Names: Mead Moon, Moon of Horses, Lovers' Moon, Strong Sun Moon, Honey
Moon, Aerra Litha (Before Litha), Brachmanoth (Break Month), StrawberryMoon,
Rose Moon, Moon of Making Fat. The original Roman name for this month was
Junonious, after the Great Mother Goddess Juno; her counterpart among the Greeks
was Hera. The Summer Solstice has been and still is important to many religions
and cultures around the world. Not only was it sacred to goddesses of
fertility, marriage, and love, but it was considered to be a time when faeries,
elves, and many other supernatural beings were abroad
in great numbers.
Celtic: Festival of the Oak Nymph - celebrated to honor all hamadryads (female
natures spirits who inhabit oak trees).
Ancient Egyptian: Ma'at and Ra go forth in secret.
Rome: This day is sacred to Juno Moneta, Juno the Warner, the aspect of Juno who
warns of impending disasters. Also: the festival of Carna, honoring the Roman
Goddess of Doors and Locks. Carna was patron of security and physical safety of
the home and family. Doors and windows were repaired on this day, and rituals
performed to repel thieves.

Goddess of The Day: Juno Festival of Juno (Rome)
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Tue May 31, 2011 7:58 pm (PDT)
Goddess of The Day: Juno
Festival of Juno (Rome)
Themes: Femininity; Love; Relationships; Romance; Kinship; Time; Protection
(Women and Children); Leadership
Symbols: Cypress; Peacocks; Cuckoo; Luxurious Clothing; Figs; Moon (or Silver
Items)
About Juno: The supreme Goddess of the Roman pantheon, Juno offers a helping
hand in every aspect of our relationships, especially the safety and happiness
of women and children in those settings. Juno is also a very modern minded
goddess, taking an active role in public life and finances. Beyond this, she
rules women's cycles giving her connections with the moon. Art depicts Juno
always wearing majestic clothing befitting the "Queen of Heaven."
To Do Today: According to Roman folklore, marrying today ensures a long, happy
relationship. So if you're planning a wedding or an engagement, or even moving
in together, Juno can bless that commitment if you time the big step for
today! As part of your devotion ritual, don't forget to wear special clothing
(perhaps something your partner especially likes) to invoke Juno's attention
and loving energy.
If you'd like to connect with Juno's feminine force, her leadership skills, or
her sense of timing within yourself, eat some fig-filled cookies today (or just
some figs), saying,
Juno, bring _______to my spirit, my wish fulfill.
By your power, through my will.
Fill in the blank with whatever aspect of Juno you most need to develop.

Triple Goddess Womanhood Ritual
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Tue May 31, 2011 7:59 pm (PDT)
Triple Goddess Womanhood Ritual
Today is the Old European feast of the Triple Goddess. This holiday marks her
transformation from virgin to mother. It is an auspicious time now to hold
rites of passage, such as womanhood ceremonies for girls becoming women or baby
showers for expectant mothers. Honor the mother Goddess by decorating the table
with big red candles, the color of womanhood. Serve a feast of comfort foods
such as home-made fresh-baked bread, stewed chicken, and apple pie. Before
people start eating, offer this toast:
Virgin to mother she passes,
Good Pagan folk raise glasses.
Make a toast to the newcomer,
Goddess of birth and of summer.
From her breasts flow milk and honey;
She makes life sweet and days sunny.
Hail,
Hail to the divine Mother!
Before her stands no other!
Clink glasses together, drink, and commence the feasting.

There are many who honor Juno.
They sing of her city and its fleet horses
and her ancient land of fabulous gold -
Wind rises from the south today,
chasing dark clouds from the sky.
And you, my friend, remember that"I want to grow old without face-lifts...
I want to have the courage to be loyal to the face I have made.
Sometimes I think it would be easier to avoid old age,
to die young, but then you'd never complete your life, would you?
You'd never wholly know yourself."
~ Goddess Norma Jean Baker
not all winds bring thunder and rain,
not all life is sorrowful.
Think of this, and lift
a cup of wine, and unburden yourself.
~Horace
This is the first day of a month named after a Goddess: June, named for Juno,
Goddess of Women among the ancient Romans. Each woman, the Romans said, had her
special "juno," not so much a guardian spirit as an enlivening inner force of
femaleness, a kind of hologram of femininity that was infinitely divisible among
the living women of this world.
This day especially honored Juno under her title of Moneta, "warner." She earned
this name many times over: when her sacred geese once set up such a squalling
that the city was warned of invading Gauls, another time when an earthquake
threatened and Juno's voice from heaven alerted the city, and finally when the
underfunded Roman generals came to Juno's temple for advice and were told that
any war fought ethically would find popular (and financial) support. This last
effort made her matron of the Roman mint, which was located in her temple, and
turned her title into a word for money.
