SOLSTICE SOLAR FLARE: The first day of northern summer began with a solar flare. Magnetic fields above sunspot complex 1236 erupted during the early hours of June 21st, hurling a coronal mass ejection (CME) almost directly toward Earth. The incoming CME does not appear to be particularly potent; nevertheless, the cloud could trigger polar geomagnetic storms when it reaches Earth on or about June 23rd. Happy Summer Solstice! What a most auspicious time to learn about merging with the gods, even if it's only temporary!
In
some traditions, it's called "aspecting." In this workshop, Kokopelli
will facilitate a discussion and a practical exercise to help students
with invoking deity for ritual purposes. In 1990, he studied under and
was initiated by Lady Maeve Rhea of MotherChant Coven in Philadelphia,
and has continued his practice and teaching of invoking in this
tradition. Since then, Maeve Rhea has written one of the best books on
this subject - "Summoning Forth Wiccan Gods and Goddesses" - and this
will be a main reference for this workshop.

Here I stand on the longest day of the year…. stretching my hands to
the universe accepting of the energy that comes fourth. Thankful for the
blessings in my life and hopeful of a future filled with many more.
A time when the days stop growing and the nights stop shrinking …
A time to begin working with your dreams …
Tonight when the sun finally slips down and calls it a night .. I’ll
lay my head upon my pillow and dream many dreams for happy days to come.
Dreaming of me and my love growing old together … still smiling at
each other when those days come to an end… Dreaming of creations yet
to be realized and created… Dreaming of peace and love for all my
family and friends… Dreaming of the future… of an ease of life.. of
fresh air, clean water and a warm and cozy home. Dreaming dreams to keep
us dreaming .. keep us hoping.. keep us living… keep us smiling and
content.
Tomorrow I shall awake and follow those dreams as I do each and every
day … Never giving up … never stopping when I fall… I’ll
continue to chase those dreams til my days find their end.
The days while still much longer than the night, we have time to bring
our dreams into creation… and as each night comes to be.. we are given
a wee bit more time to focus our intent within our dreaming… Use this
time wisely …
Let your dreams be realized in the sun lit hours while the moon guides
you through the night and keeps you dreaming those dreams that keep you
living the life you always knew could be.

Saturday the 25th of June "The Drummers of the Well" are hosting a Feast Celebrating the Solstice at "The Well", the newly constructed Wood Henge at Tea Garden Ithaca.
It begins at 12 noon untill dusk, with a small focused ritual, and there will be ceremonial adoration's to the solstice and to the sun. Please bring a dish to share.
The drumming ...is Freestyle Spiritual and trance and the dance is sacred.
We will have drumming and dancing around the fire of course. We have an assisted circle supporting Free form drumming which is cooperative to each other, to the rhythm and sympathetic and serving the dance.
So please accept this humble invitation, bring your drum, dance and good intentions as we celebrate the solstice and honor the sun and the longest day of the year.

Spending Time in Nature
Because we instinctively know that nature is good for us on many levels, it’s not unusual to feel powerfully drawn to it.
In this modern age, we spend so much time indoors, focused on the busyness of our lives and disconnected from the earth. But much of what we truly need can only be found under the naked sky, alongside tall trees, on open plains, or in the sound of running water. Spending time in nature allows us to commune with other living beings and to find comfort in the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth. You can’t help but experience a different sense of self while walking in a wood or traversing a mountainside. Being in nature connects us to the earth, grounding us as we walk, unhindered by concrete, upon her. Surrounded by other living beings, both bigger and smaller than we are, we remember that human beings are simply one form of life in this vast universe.
Because we instinctively know that nature is good for us on many levels, it’s not unusual to feel powerfully drawn to it. Even if you live in a city or find it difficult to travel to a forest or the countryside, there are a myriad ways to reconnect with nature. When you step out of your door each morning, pause for a minute and close your eyes long enough to let your senses absorb your surroundings. Listen and breathe deeply, until you hear the wind rustling through branches, smell rain on damp grass, and see the reflection of leaves brushing up against windowpanes. If you have time, crouch down and closely examine any nearby grass and soil. The sights, sounds, smells, and sensations we experience that are part of nature can remind us of all the gifts Mother Earth grants us each day.
Spending time connecting with nature nourishes the soul, reminds you that you are never truly alone, and renews you by attuning you to the earth’s natural rhythms. Taking a walk under the stars or feeling the wind on your face may be all it takes for you to reconnect with nature. Remember, you are as much a part of nature as are the leaves on a tree or water bubbling in a brook.

Good morning, everyone, and a Happy Tuesday and Day of Mars and Tyr to all of you! A Blessed Litha/Midsummer/Summer Solstice and Sun entering Cancer to all of you, too!! How are you?
Between being a professional Intuitive Card Reader, Metaphysical Teacher and Reiki Master (not to mention teaching Prosperity Classes on a regular basis) I rarely have the opportunity to participate in Metaphysical Classes and Workshops. I am usually already booked up, or am already booked up.
As some of you know, this year I have not only begun experiencing the Empowering, Freeing and Miracle-Making benefits of Resonance Repatterning (thank you, once again, Gladys Murphy), but have also spent more time participating in the phenomenal Sound Healing Meditations led by Roger Ansanelli (www.rogeransanelli.com). I engage in both activities at the Seasonal Health and Wellness Center (www.seasonalhealth .com) and last night I had the honor and pleasure of participating in their Open House.
From the very first time I walked into this lovely Sacred Space, I was moved by how pure and beautiful the Energy is. And because I have a client who is an Interior Designer, I have a greater appreciation for decor. And the decor of Seasonal Health and Wellness is truly gorgeous! But last night, the Energy was much higher than it normally is. Last night was all about celebration, honor and what I love to call Divine Love Healing Energy. My Clairvoyant abilities were stronger than usual, and I met so many lovely people who are well, successful, happy and want to bring wellness, success and happiness to others. And that was just the guests!
As for the practitioners, I can honestly say that all of them are either Incarnated Goddesses or Incarnated Angels. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Trish DeTura (www.womensholistichealing.com) , Mid-Wife and Maya Abdominal Massage Practitioner. Between her sparkling blue eyes and her "Moon-Touched" hair, not to mention her Loving Energy, I could see why she is a daughter of IxChel, Mayan Moon Goddess of Divine Healing. I had the opportunity to also meet Amanda Moore (http://amoorelmp. vpweb.com/ ) and the conversation I had with her was beyond lovely. Truly, I was in the presence of a Divine Healer and I could see why her clients want to spend "moore" time with her.home.html
Of course, I had the honor and pleasure of spending time with Gladys Murphy, the ONLY Resonance Repatterning Practitioner, as far as I am concerned. She shone even more brightly than she normally does, and when I discovered she is a fellow January Capricorn, I could see why she is so committed to helping others being empowered and free. Then again, another amazing January Capricorn (the late, great) Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., also had that commitment to humanity.
Of course, Dr. Kathia Roberts, who founded Seasonal Health and Wellness was in her glory. Every time I saw her, there was a huge smile on her face. She has every right to be proud of her accomplishments, and I am clear that there are so many others who shall be helped by what she does. Not to mention that she is this Angelic Apothecary with all of these wonderful herbs that create and maintain health, wellness, longevity and vitality.
Of course, the real star of the show was the Blueberry Lavender Lemonade made by the another Living and Loving Goddess of Divine Healing, Ms. Priscilla Renta. For every batch of Blueberry Lavender Lemonade, she added one drop of Young Living Essential Oils Lavender. Those of you that have worked with these oils know that their quality is exceptional. They glow with a Spiritual Radiance, and the lemonade was truly beyond FAB!!! I actually pouted when Priscilla told me that she needed to make sure there was enough for everybody! Nevertheless, I AM most thankful for the six glasses I had last night. And if you have ever worked with Lavender before, I can honestly say that I slept so beautifully, I had wonderful, insightful dreams and connected quite deeply with various Celestial Beings.
Of course, Lavender and its Crystal equivalent, Amethyst also curb the desire for alcohol. Those of you that have known me for years know that I rarely drink alcohol, but when I learned that there was PROSECCO I would have been a fool not to have had a glass. And since I AM no one's fool, I had two!!
Before I complete this Radiant Review, I feel the need to make something clear. I am not writing this review to get something from the Practitioners. I am not writing this review to make myself seem important. I am writing this review simply because my Heart was touched by the Divine Abundance of Divine Love Healing Energy that was present last night, and the Divine Love Healing Energy that I constantly experience every time I go to the Seasonal Health and Wellness Center.

St Paulinus of Nola/Dance of the Lily - St Paulinus, along with other inhabitants of Nola, was supposedly kidnapped by the Vandals and taken to Africa in slavery, where a miraculous dream brought him to the attention of the King who ordered him freed and sent him and his countrymen home in boats. Upon their return they were met by the people of Nola carrying lilies in his honor. Ever since then his feast day is celebrated in Nola, a town about twenty miles from Naples, with the Dance of the Lily (Giglio). The lilies have become eight huge structures, covered with papier mache figures and big enough to carry brass bands. A galleon is also constructed to represent the boat that returned the Saint to Nola. They are carried about (or danced) by teams of men who put on a display of strength and acrobatic maneuvers, moving in perfect unison under their heavy burdens. A similar festival is held in Brooklyn on the first Sunday of July.
Scholars suggest that the festival derives from a pre-Christian summer festival celebrating the Greek god Dionysus. The story of St Paulinus resembles the myth of Dionysus's release and return from pirate captivity. Nola was once an ancient center of Dionysian worship. The phallic figure of the god, now replaced by the tower of the saint, was probably once the centerpiece of pagan fertility rituals. Dancing the giglio is a display of virility and power, as the half-naked men sweat and struggle to bear the enormous weight of the lilies and to out-dance each other. About Saules Mate: Saules Mate comes to us from Indo-European tradition, her name meaning, "sun." Indeed, with the sun reaching its highest point today, she becomes the center of our festivities. Saules Mate crosses the sky during the day in a carriage drawn by yellow horses, then travels the waters by night in a golden birch boat, hanging a red scarf in the wind to give the sky its lovely color.
To Do Today: In magic traditions, we stop for a moment on this day to mark the sun's halfway point through its annual journey. Traditionally, this is a time to harvest magical herbs, but do so before Saules Mate gets too bright in the sky; her heat diminishes the natural oils in the herbs. Remember to leave an offering for the goddess so she will empower these herbs--perhaps some ground birchwood that acts as plant mulch!
Purify yourself by jumping the ritual fire (or a candle) today, then burn a wish in Saules Mate's fires to release it into her care. And use this invocation to Saules Mate for part of personal magic today (for the southern quarter of the magic circle):

Color of the day: Yellow
Incense of the day: Sandalwood
Since the Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, this magical day
may be observed with activities throughout the day. In the morning,
before sunrise, light a tall orange candle, and from its flame light
four smaller white candles to represent the four seasons, saying:
“Father Sun, you illuminate the year.†Then, fashion a small hoop from a thin branch. Ignite the hoop and let it burn out in a heat-proof dish.
As the Sun rises, snuff out the candles. At noon, the solar hour, go
into a garden or wooded area and select a tree to honor. Trees are
living beings who, although connected to Mother Earth, reach toward
Father Sun to complete their growth cycle. Honor your chosen tree with a gift of compost or water. At sunset, light your candles again, and
thank the Sun for returning. You may seek visions by sprinkling the area with larkspur, or you can simply meditate. When done, snuff out the
candles. After dark, near midnight if possible, harvest any herbs for
future magical use. As a final gesture on this longest day, sprinkle the ashes from the hoop you burned near your front door.

Using essential oils in the shower. After soaping rinse well. Add 2-3 drops of essential oil, mixed in a base oil, to a wet face-cloth or sponge and rub over your whole body briskly while under a warm jet spray, inhaling deeply through the nose to benefit from the aromatic steam.

Uses:
Sleeplessness and Insomnia
Job-related stress
Panic attacks
Uncontrollable urge to tie your own children in their beds :)
Ingredients:
2 parts Chamomile
1 part Jasmine
1 part Hops
1 part Lavender
1 part Yerba Santa
1 part Gota Kola
1 part St. John's Wort
Preparation:
Place all herbs in a tea ball or bag, put in your nicest or most favorite
cup or mug, and cover with boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes.
Remove tea ball or bag, and add sugar, honey, sweetener, milk, cream or whatever, to taste.
Climb into a closet with your mug, and ENJOY! !

Even in religions based on male divinities, there is often a feminine presence
hiding, in folklore or tradition or ritual. In Judaism, one of
these quasi-goddesses is the Sabbath. Celebrated as the Sabbath Queen or the Sabbath Bride, this personification of the day of rest is greeted
each week as though she were an actual woman - greeted, and welcomed
into the home, where she performs such archtypally feminine functions as knitting the family into a tighter bond.
When we
look for the Goddess, we are often searching for a quality we find
missing in our lives - qualities frequently connected witht he feminine
sphere of life, which has been diminished in prestige just as the
Goddess has. But just like the Goddess, the vital functions of women
traditionally perform retain some of their sacred qualities, no matter
how debased. Each time we set a table lovingly for our friends, or turn
down a bed for a child, or listen to a sister's laments, we are bringing the Goddess into our lives again.
