Liberation on Seeing - Tsakli the 'tantric tarot'

The fact that tsaklis are not found in India where Buddhism arose indicates
their earliest usage may come from the Bon shamanistic religion that permeates
Tibetan Tantra. These Bon Tsakli (Walse Ngampa) cards seem to support this.
Taoist influence is also apparent in some tsakli, see Wheel/Chakra opposite.
Each set may have any number of cards although some designs are more common than
others.
Painted by Buddhist monks or lamas, tsakli cards can be used for: 1)
instruction, 2) as a focus for meditation, 3) as symbols and substitutes for
non-physical or hard-to-get offerings and objects (e.g. flayed demon-skins or
precious jewels) required for tantric rituals or funerals, 4) Divination, 5) in
portable shrines, and 6) joined in patterns to form mandalas. Older examples of
tsakli are venerated for their karma built up over decades or centuries of use.
Most tasklis have a mantra or ritual instructions written on the reverse, often
in archaic or tribal dialects hard to translate. We aim to translate those
inscriptions we have. The aim of Tantra is Liberation, and the point of tsaklis
is that the each painting offers `Liberation on being Seen!'

Are tsakli cards the future shape of mysticism that will effortlessly combine
Western and Eastern transmission? They certainly help towards that aim. What do
