Made Redundant - Selling Off My Witchcraft / Esoteric Books

Posted by: "David" junhengclinic@yahoo.co.uk   junhengclinic

Mon Jun 27, 2011 6:47 am (PDT)

Hi people

I have been made redundant and am selling my entire
collection of 200 (or so) esoteric books. It's not all
bad news cos I will use it to generate funds for three
small businesses I am starting up: reflexology,
therapeutic massage and maths tuition!

Although I know that study is really important, I've
also learned that the gods are bigger than books ...
so I'm happy with the four books that I've retained! :)

Most of this collection is about paganism/witchcraft
(both old classics, and recent), but there are
a few books on taijiquan (tai chi), earth
mysteries, Christianity and other general
esoterica.

Shipping from London UK. The prices are generally at
the budget end of Amazon prices - but to
the forums I'm on ... I'm giving 30% discount for orders
before close of Wed 29 Jun.

Shipping is extra and charged at cost - You get
to chose whatever shipping method you want. :)
Even if you're in US please take a look. If the
postage works out to be exhorbitant, I might be
able to negotiate on that.

If you want to see the whole book list (of 200 books) please
email me OFF-list and I'll email it to you.

In the meantime, here is a small selection ... just to wet
your taste buds ... ;)

Goddess is a Democrat !! Imagine the feedback from that statement in my
interviews with Riane Eisler and Starhawk on my radio show, Voices of
the Sacred Feminine. But what were we really saying in that statement
that might not have been immediately evident? We were saying the
strategy to move us toward that paradigm shift, into a post-kyriarchal
world, would not just be the use of secular law, but through a change in
thealogy - the mythology of the Sacred Feminine, deity, archetype and
ideal, might re-establish the foundations on our planet necessary for
sustainable future for all life and Mother Earth. Hear the line of
thought....presented at the WECSOR/American Academy of Religion by Dr.

Goddess For Today: Rigantona Palio Festival (Italy)

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:49 pm (PDT)

Goddess For Today: Rigantona
Palio Festival (Italy)

Themes:  Sports; Excellence; Magic; Fertility; Movement; Travel
Symbols:  Horse; Moon; White Items; Birds

About Rigantona:  A Roman/Italic form of Rhiannon, this Goddess travels the earth on a swift white horse, a lunar symbol, sweeping us up to travel along and get everything in our lives moving!  Stories portray Rigantona in the company of powerful magical birds, and she also represents fertility.

To Do Today:  In Italy, people attend the Palio Festival, a horse race that started in the thirteenth century and has continued ever since as a time to show physical skill and cunning.  It's a perfect place for Rigantona to shine.  Any type of physical activity that you excel in will please Rigantona today and encourage her motivational energy in your efforts.  Get out and take a brisk walk, swim, rollerblade.  As you move, visualize yourself atop a white horse, the goddess's symbol, approaching an image of a specific goal.  All the energy you expend during this activity generates magic for attainment.

If birds fly into your life today, pay attention to the type of bird and its movements, because birds are Rigantona's messengers.  Birds flying to the right are good omens, those moving to the left act as a warning of danger, and those flying overhead indicate productivity in whatever you try today.  If any of these birds drops a feather, keep it as a gift from this Goddess.

Do It Differently Spell
Incense of the day: Honeysuckle

We’ve all experienced challenging moments when we’ve wished that we hadn’t
said or done what we had. If only we had someone with us to help guide
to avoid such mistakes! You can appoint a spiritual guardian to help
you. Today, mentally prepare this assistance so it’s ready to invoke
when you need it. Select a god or goddess who possesses qualities you
admire. Create a symbol that you associate with your chosen deity. Place the symbol on your altar and say:

When I feel the need
I will summon you
For protection and confidence
And strength to shine through.

Thank your guardian and call it when you need to gather confidence.

Sweet Dreams Spell

Sweet Dreams Spell

Now that Midsummer has passed, it is the perfect time to gather fresh herbs and rose petals for creating a dream sachet. To enhance peaceful
dreams, make a blend of equal parts rose petals, lavender flowers,
mugwort, rosemary, and lemon balm. Store the mixture in a sealed plastic bag for three days to allow the scents to mingle. Scoop one-half cup of the mixture into the center of a pretty square handkerchief or clean
cloth napkin. Gather then corners and tie it with a sky-blue ribbon. As
you tie up the sachet, say:

Herbs and blossoms
bring me delight,
Sweeten my dreams
with deeper insight.

Tuck the sachet into your pillowcase. You can make a few extras for your restless friends.

Apuleius, The Golden Ass

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:56 pm (PDT)

Her robe was of the finest linen: white and red and crocus yellow.
Along the hem a woven border swayed, with fruits and blooming flowers.
And around her body, from right hip to shoulder, she had slung a mantle, lustrous black, embroidered with the stars of heaven and the fiery moon and tasseled with silk fringe, falling into innumerable glittering folds.
~Apuleius, The Golden Ass

The term "Earth Goddess" is often used to describe the great force of creative femininity. This implies that the goddess is only connected with the soil, the surface of the planet, the elements and the minerals and the plants that are nourished by them.
.
But the ancient Goddess ruled the sky as well as the soil. Her domain included that blanket of atmosphere surrounding and sustaining us. The Goddess was not just something we walk upon, plow into, bulldoze. She was as much above us as below us. We are not trodding her beneath our feet, but are instead enveloped in her. Reorienting our vision of the Goddess to include the entire cosmos changes how we view our relation to her.
