The Birth of Religion: We used to think agriculture gave rise to cities and later to writing, art, and religion. Now the world's oldest temple suggests the urge to worship sparked civilization.

Card of the Week 03Jun2011 - The Six of Pents.

Hi All,
This weeks card is the 6 of Pents
<http://www.anar-mura.com/ > , as found in thegts/cdw/2011/ 2Jun2011. jpg
Gendron Tarot; which IMHO is a rather unique card, in that the
presentation is very unlike the more typical presenation we might find
say in the Robin Wood, or Gilded Tarots.
If we glance at the Robin wood, or the Gilded we see a well dressed man,
sharing his coppers with those less well off at the bottom of the frame;
we do not see their faces and these people are apparently anonomys to
our main charactor; they are simply people in need he is in a position
to help. The scales speak to the Justice of this act in his mind; that
having been blessed, he feels an obligation to pass along some portion
of this blessing to others, but it is a duty he meets with some
satisfaction; the expression on his face speaking to the notion that the
gift is it's own reward.
If we then shift our Gaze to the Gendron, we get nothing of the same
vibration; the woman offering her gift and the "Priestess" recieving it
are simply going through the motions, the woman gifting some portion of
her blessings back to her church, and her Gods, communicates no energy;
the Priestess Recieving the gift no joy. From the moment I saw this card
for the very first time I felt, "They might as well be exchanging a dead
fish, neither really wants to touch."
Tuesday morning I pulled a reading where-in the King of Cups Rx came up
as the outcome card; and felt sure that was a warning that something was
off with the reading; as my own sig is very often the King of Cups; I
spent the next few hours going over the cards, and chart for the reading
- and came to believe that If I understood the True Node Trines Natal
Saturn aspect of the cart; I would understand the reading; but by the
point the Sun was well past Zenith; and the AC being out at the time; my
apartment was roasting. So I set my work aside, and at about that point
I checked my Daily Draw; 6 of Pents, and understood that while I had
been grinding the work out, the "Warning" contained in the King of Cups
had been fullfilled that I just was not sparking the gap here.
The next morning I pulled fresh cards agains the True Node/Natal Saturn
question, and got a reading that made sense to me and helped me present
a proper reading to my Q.
Thing is,
We all have our Duties in life; things we do because we must ... I don't
go to work everyday because 'I Love my Job' loving your job is a
privelage; I was raised working class, and one of the commonest
realities of working class life, is we're all just here for the money.
Ask a working Stiff Mark Levies famous Question, "Where else would you
rahter be?" the answers almost sure to be, "Damn near anywhere else."
Doing one's Duty, by ones Friends, Family, Nation; that's just one of
the responsibilities of adult life. - but their are things that have to
go beyond duty if they are to have any meaning at all.
Returning to the Gendron, notice the Image of the Goddess looking on as
the Adept and Priestess exchange her Tithe; what is she thinking, really
what is the Goddess thinking, is she impressed by the gift; is she glad
the lights will be on, and the water run in her temple another month;
somehow I doubt it ...

Revelations: Sacred Space.

Once Again William gifts us with a very interesting Interview, of one of my favorite researchers. Blessings, BB.
Freddy Silva knows a great deal about earth mysteries and sacred spaces. Here, he explains to us why it is that there is a 'special' feeling in these spaces. How does earth energy come into these places, and how does it connect across hundreds and thousands of miles? These spaces are far more valuable to those who understand them and can use their energies, so listen up as Freddy Silva explains to us just how to empower ourselves to make life-changing use of these sites.
William Henry asks Freddy, "Can these ancient temples transform us now?" Freddy's answer: "Absolutely, but you have to know what you're doing."
