I did this ritual 2 moths ago and it turned out great! I went off script at times but then I wrote the rituals and was the HPS.

Hecate Moon Ritual

Kalimir lights the two altar candles.
"Hail to Hekate, Mother Goddess of this enchanted
night."
Salutations are given to the moon.

Kalimir blesses the salt and water. As she pours the
salt into the water, she visualizes white light
purifying the mixture. She then mixes it while
chanting. "Power of the moon, power of the earth,
power of the night, power of magick; in Hecat'es name
all profanity is removed from this holy water. "

Sky Bear holds his hands over the incense which remains
unlit. He visualizes white light blessing the incense.
He
ignights the incense and says" Power of fire, power
of life, power air, and power of this night; in
Hecate's name, this incense is blessed."

Kalimir takes the water and as she sprinkles, she
declares that no evil shall remain, that all trouble
making entities must leave. She goes on to state that
this temple is now dedicated to Hecate. She blesses
herself and Sid and requests the blessings of Hecate.

Sky Bear takes the incense and as he smudges the temple, "I
declare that this is the most sacred place on the
earth, and that there is no place as sacred as this
temple. This place is the holiest place on earth, and
that this temple is being dedicated to Hecate."

He smudges himself, then he smudges Kalimir.

Kalimir declares in Goddess position "This place is
purified and holy!"
Both visualize the temple being bathed in a holy and
pristine light.

Kalimir then takes the athame and casts the circle.

She goes to the east and casts the air pentagram.
"I call to thee oh ancient powers from the Watchtower of
Air, in Hecate's name I welcome you. O rising sun,
powers of Spring, the awkening of all life, the
dawning of a new day; the powers of youth, creativity,
communication and creativity; be kind to us!

She takes
the bowl of salt water and blesses the east. " I
purify East and air!"

Sky Bear takes the incense nad
smudges the east " I consecrate east and air!"

She goes to the south and casts the fire pentagram. "I
call to thee o ancient powers from the Watchtowers of
fire, in Hecate's name I welcome you. O powers of the
strong sun, powers of Summer, life at it's fullest;
creation, destruction, protection, and power be good to
us! She takes the bowl of salt water and sprinkles the
brine" I purify south and fire!"

Sky Bear takes the incense and smudges " I consecrate south
and fire!"

She goes to the west and casts the water pentagram. "
I call to thee o ancient powers from the Watchtowers
of water, in Hecate's name I welcome you. O setting
sun, powers of Autumn, the formless that takes form,
dreams, love, emotions, be kind to us!" She takes the
bowl of salt water and sprinkles it in the west "I
purify the west and water!"

Sky Bear takes the incense and smudges the west" I
consecrate west and water!"

She goes to the north and casts the earth pentagram.
"I call to thee o ancient powers from the Watchtowers
of the north, in Hecate's name I welcome you. O
powerful night sky, beautiful round moon, powers of
winter: manifestation, stability, wisdom, and magic,
be good to us!" She takes the brine mixture and and
sprinkles it "I purify north and earth!"

Sky Bear smudges with the incense and says "I consecrate
north and earth!"

Kalimir draws the spirit wheel above.

Sky BEAR" The moon is not visible to us in this temple. But Her powers are with us.
We are Witches, we are wise, and we have the power and the ability to create a moon here.

Kalimir will explain how to do this. and we all create one moon in the center of the ritual.

all kneel...

all say " We give bent knee to our Lady Hecate, mother
of all Witchcraft and Sorcery."

Kalimir:
Invocation of Hecate

Hecate, Hecate (vibrate) HECATE. Hecate Lady of my
heart. Lady who knows the heart, She who is of the
heart. I call you. Hecate, Hecate (vibrate) HECATE!
You who are the Triple Goddess, you who are all the
pheses of the moon you are the Greatest Witch of all;
I, I respect thee! Goddess of the cauldron, lady of
the spell, I invoke thee! Queen of the three worlds,
even Zeus gives you great honor, Daughter of the
Night, Lady of the cross roads, Madam of the grave
yards, I
summon the; HECATE(vibrate)Wise one,

"I pray now to you who is the moon, which is bright
and round and full of bounty; you, Hecate who are also
full of Nature's bounty, I send thee a request. (make
request) Please, mother do not deny me."

Kalimir draws Hekate into herself.

Sky Bear says " Second to none in magick, lady of the
occult, Hecate you are good to those who honor you; I
send thee a request. (Make request) Please, mother do
not deny me."

Sky Bear says" Hecate, because you are the Lady of our
hearts, because we are in love with you, please accept
our humble offerings of love"

3rd person makes request.

(ad lib)

Now messages will be given from Hekate to each participant

Offering to Hekate.

The juice and bread is now to be blessed/.
After the blessing some of the bread to Hecate.
Offerings are made to Hekate.

After the meal

Sky Bear "Let us now release the moon we have created and send it on its way. But first
let us pray to this moon.

Sky Bear says " repeat after me....Oh holy moon.....bright and round.....grant us a boon..... let our wishes be sound....
.....let it manifest soon. Moon of glowing light........ pregnant with power.........keep our goals in sight....... as we honor you this hour.
Lady of the night........Mother of all.........Help us to do what is right.......Let us not fall........Hail to you most ancient Queen! Hail to the moon...and hail to Hekate."

We release the moon under Kalimirs instructions.

Sky Bear says"Mighty, glorious Hecate; Goddess of nature,
Lady of the wildeness, Queen of all Witches we give
you thanks." We love you, we honor you and are unable
to forget you, as you are the Lady of our hearts; you
are the very blood that courses through are veins, you
are part of us. Hail Hecate!

Sky Bear "Let us now release the moon we have created and send it on its way. But first
let us pray to this moon

The Closing

Kalimir looks up at the spirit wheel

Hail to you, powers of spirit! We thank you for your presence, hail to you!"

Kalimir goes to the east

"Hail and farewell, powers of east and air; the ritual is over now, go in peace and love to your abodes and habitations."

Draw the banishing air pentagram.

Kalimir goes to the north

" Hail and farewell, powers of the north and earth; the ritual is over now, go in peace and love to your abodes and habitations."

Kalimir draws the banishing earth pentagram.

Kalimir goes to the west

"Hail and farewell, powers of the west and water; the ritual is over now, go in peace and love to your abodes and habitations."

Kalimir draws the banishing pentagram

Kalimir goes to the south

"Hail and farewell, powers of the south and fire; the ritual is over now, go in peace and love to your abodes and habitations."

Kalimir draws the banishing pentagram of fire.

Sky Bear says " Hail and farewell to Spirit, air, earth, fire, water; depart in peace, and may Hecate the great Goddess bless you as well. Come to us again swiftly & peacefully when we call you again. May all go in peace."

Thanks,
Definitely worth following up on, although it seems to make some sense
to me honestly, after all as Merlin Stone 1 clearly demonstrates there
is plenty of Textual evidence in the Old Testament for a centuries long
struggle in Ancient Israel/Canaan by the Yahwehists to suppress the
indigenous religion. It seems only natural that as part of that process
Astarte would be forced into a shotgun wedding with the invaders god.

I've been looking for the Citation, but have not been able to find it;
but I'm quite sure a very similar thing happened In Carthage, where A
Local Goddess was pressed into Marriage of a Punic God, I believe it was
Tanit; but again I could not find the Referece, only the story of Dido
...
Dido's story is told by the Roman historian Pompeius Trogus (1st century
BC), a near contemporary of Virgil. Trogus describes a sinister web of
court intrigue in which the new king Pygmalion[34] (brother of Dido)
slays the chief priest Acharbas (husband of Dido), which causes the
Queen Elissa (Dido) along with some nobles to flee the city of Tyre
westward in a fleet of ships carrying royal gold.[35][36] At Cyprus,
four score temple maidens were taken aboard the ships.[37][38] Then her
fleet continues on, landing in North Africa to found Carthage. Shortly
after becoming established, according to Trogus, it is said that
Hiarbus, a local Mauritani tribal chief, sought to marry the newly
arrived queen.[39] Instead, in order to honor her murdered husband the
priest, Dido took her own life by the sword, publicly casting herself
into a ceremonial fire. Thereafter she was celebrated as a goddess at
Carthage
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Punic-era_Tunisia,_part_I> .
See also ... This on the Goddess Tanit
<http://www.goddessalive.co.uk/issue11/tanit.html> . Before her death
in 2005, Monica Sjöö had been working on a book "Seeking Tanit:
African/Semitic Great Goddess and Her people". This was to be her last
great work, in which she explored the origins and mysteries of the
African Goddess. She passed the manuscript of this book to her friend
and GA! editor Cheryl Straffon to publish and disseminate more widely.
In this second of two extracts from the book, Monica looks at the traces
of Tanit on the island of Ibiza.

Brightest Blessings, BB.

Categorically NOT.

In biblical terms Adam and Eve were 'innocent', and thus matrimony was neither required nor devised, until after epulsion from 'Eden'.

Otherwise god would have demanded Adam and Eve be married from point of their manufacture, bearing in mind they appear to have come to life as adults.

Were 'god' partnered, then marriage, and a proximity as 'wife'...would have prempted a subsequent necessity of covering 'innocence', as required of A & E, once they became 'knowledgeable' and knew their own nakedness....

Besides, 'gender' is also a manufacture state, in which 'god's' being would come before, and thus be free of in its particulars.

I'ld be interested in returning to this ... in a little more detail in
terms of the ritual you would use; how you would enter a trance state
say sacred breath, or what... Just very Curious. Blessings, BB.

After invoking Hecate I sometimes do this meditation
that I have created and that is dedicated to the Great Goddess Hecate

The scene takes place outside a cave at night. You have the ability to
see everything as if you had natural night vision. Leading up to the
cave is a natural path outlined by rocks. There is a cave that is
connected to a high mountain. Is there a lady is black beckoning you to
follow or is there no one there, still you feel drawn to that cave.
Start walking up the path. You walk a natural path to the cave upon
entering the cave you see a torch that is lit take it it was meant for
you. Walk through the narrow path of he cave. As you walk through the
tunnel there are other torches lit on the wall, just enough for you to
see and also to cast shadows. you walk through a natural tunnel. This
part of the cave for now has a low ceiling.

You walk on until you reach a part of the cave where on your left side
you see a rock sticking out it is hollowed into a natural bowl. In it is
clear water look deeply into this water, what do you see? How do you see
your self? If you wish ask it a question what do you get as a answer? Is
it a word, a symbol, a scenery? After receiving your answer it is time
to move on. to your right side there are torches light them if you will.
As you go on you will start to feel different, the place gets darker.
Now in front of you the cave is in all darkness.

Do you dare to go on? If not turn back and leave the cave put the lit
torch where you found it before leaving. If you decide to stay know that
you are deep in the womb of Mother Earth. Go on and walk forward. Has
the cave changed? Is the ceiling higher? In front of you is a strong and
mighty figure. She is the Dark Goddess Hecate. Do you see her? Or do you
only see the darkness of the cave? What does she have to tell you?

Does she give you anything? You may honor her here if you wish. Stay as
long as needed. Now that you have seen the Dark Goddess thank Her for
what ever she has done for you. It is time to go back. Bow to Her before
leaving. Go back the way you came. Do you feel different? If you lit any
torches extinguish them. On the way back go back to the bowl of water
look into it. What do you see? Have you changed? You may ask it a
question. What do you get as an answer? You may also thank Hecate by
this water as well. On your way out put back the torch and leave the
cave. Go down the path from where you started from.

First you need to be relaxed, then you need to believe, and then desire the deity. Another wy is dancing to drums. I am a channel. Each deity has a different "feel" when they come to the circle or possession. Sometimes I can be 25-100 percent taken by the deity. I have experiencedmany deities like Kali, Tara, Bast, Isis, Hekate, Lilith, Oshun, Yemaya, Guede, Oya and many more. Hekate has a very heavy feel others felt her this way too. Yemaya feels like the weight of the ocean heavy not a dark ancient feel that Hekate feel. Guede feels hyper and fun but has wisdom but a care-free attitude. When Dhumavati comes in it feel like my brain is in the middle of the oceaj and rocking back & forth naturally.
