I have had an interesting experience with Innana where she named me. Not the name Kalimir but something I dare not post. Everytime I forgot the name she would repeat it to me and when I looked it up it was the same name! I have no idea what it means and this happened in the early 2000. To a worshipper of Innana I would give the name to only to discipher it.
I was given different names by different deities. Isis gave me 2 different names. One I can never repeat to another soul EVER and the second I can only tell to another devotee of Isis (Aset, Iset) at my discretion.

You will find that there are people here who are very wise and will do their best to answer any question you have. Question much and listen for the answers. This is not a path of "do as I say and do not question God and Goddess" no! as a Witch I learned from observing, practicing,reading and questioning. You will also want to learn the history of Witch Craft and learn about other paths of magick. Keep an open mind.

elemental circle casting

Here's a way to cast the circle in a different way. I wrote this one a while ago and I find it to be very useful. You first wanna get a new knife if this is not possible then use an older one that has never been used in the Art of Magic.
Take the knife and phyiscally clean it. Then magickally clean it and purify it.
Then empower it and dedicate it to the 5 elements as you know how to or do it the way it feels right for you.
If it does not feel right then do it some other way until it feels right. Never do anything like this half way.
You also need to have a good understanding and experience with the elements before attempting this ritual. Vizualization in the key here. You must know and feel these powers are your circle will not be sufficient.
If you do not have a good understanding of the elements I will be happy to post about them and also read Scott Cunningham's book on the Elements. The name escapes me for the momment but I do own the book but I am not home.
Basic note on elements
Air: warm and moist
Fire: hot and dry
water: cool and wet
Earth: cool and dry
Spirit: resides all over and it sepeartes the elements and yet gives them their identity. Spirit is all over
Those who are advance know you have Air of air, air of water, air of earth, and air of fire and spirit of air. and this goes for the other elements like fire of air, fire of water and blah blah blah.
Air deals with the thoughts, quickness, intelligence etc etc
Fire deals with protection, energy, destruction, sexual desire etc etc
water deals with motherhood, love, emotions, women, etc etc
earth deals with manifestations, mysteries, money, etc etc
I could go on but this is not about the elements its about elemental circle casting.
Take a ritual dagger that has not been dedicated to any specific element.
Before casting your circle
point your dagger to the East
and call upon elemental air to
come into you through the blade
concentrate suck in the element
Allow it to fill you. Your mind
should be on nothing else
except at the task at hand.
Do the same for the South, the West
and the north. Then point you blade
upwards and do the same with spirit.
Point your blade down and walk around
in a circle shooting out this elemental
energy to cast the circle. When finished
have some of the energy of the circle
to form a sphere all around you
above you and a little beneath you.
Thats it! Now you may call in the
directions do you ritual or spell.
relaese the elemental directions.
To close your circle have the extra
energy you used to create the
surrounding sphere to go back into
the circle. Now with your blade. Walk
counter clockwise and suck up the
circle into you through your blade
like a vacuum cleaner. Now point
the blade up and shoot out the
element of spirit bid it thanks.
Do the same for the North, West
South and East. Bid each element
peace and thanks. Ground your self.

When I get some time and find my old posts to another group I would be happy to
post on the runes for people and remember my view is not the be all and end all
on the runes. I just do not want to fill up anyones email or get people angry
as I seem to be a little too active here. I will post a rune on every few days
as to again avoid cluttering up peoples email boxes and have an angry mob come
for me. hahaha

I am glad to seea reply like this to this question. Your path is yours.
A witch is a witch aand no amount of waacking someone on the head with a waand will make them so. Who initiated the first Witch? Again this is a personal belief. You can initiaate yourself as a witch or Wiccan and follow a Gardenarian path BUT and that's a big one you will not be considdered a Gardenrian unless you are initiated as one in the eyes of the Gardenarians. I believe in self initiations as if you believe it then it is valid but living the life as Wiccan and or Witch is more important. I can put myself in a garage and throw oil on myself but I will NEVER be a car.
If you call on the God and Goddess, Divine beings, or gods in your initiation and they accept you then how can you initiation not be valid. To me it takes more than looking in the mirror and saying "Im a witch" yes I do that but I live it, I study it, I am it, I practice it. That's what is important.
There are people who changed their beliefs and changed their lives. If aa person can survive a particuarlly hard life without going insane by belief or cure their own sickness by belief well then something like an initiation can be done. Yes it is serious and you should be ready for it. If you are new then study for a year and practice and live it.

You could study numerology and learn about cycles and then learn where
you are in terms of those cycles. When you know where you are located
in particular cycles, then it's time to find out which cycle or
combination of cycles are causing your particular kind of trouble. Then
by knowing where you are in those cycles you can get an idea when the
weather is likely to change for you and in which direction. Maybe Kevin
Quinn-avery's "life by the numbers" is available on amazon.com. If so,
I found it to be a very clearly written book and also highly
informative. That book might get you started in a good direction.
There's also astro*cartography. Are you living in the wrong location
for you? If you use astro*cartography,, the next question to ask is
where would be a better location and why would it be a better location.
Iching may be helpful but only if you follow the rules about kinds of
questions you ask.
