Today's Tip

Create a blend of Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit.

Lemon is an effective degreaser. Lime is refreshing

and Grapefruit uplifting.

Add about 20 drops of this mixture to 4 oz. distilled water.

Use this in any spray bottle for cleaning counter tops,

bathrooms, garbage pails, toilets and more.

Enjoy

This Week's Moonscopes Forecast
For the week of July 10 to July 16

Sunday(*v/c): the Moon is in Scorpio
Scorpio is always a good sign for making decisions because it cuts through all the "stuff" and goes straight to the bottom line. However, with the Moon in a void-of-course (v/c) position today, it would be best to take action only on things that are already in the works instead of initiating new projects. There is more information on v/c at the bottom of this page.

Monday, Tuesday(v/c): the Moon is in Sagittarius
Higher planes of existence and higher levels of awareness are two things that the sign Sagittarius is always exploring. A broad latitude of thinking comes into play when the Moon is in this sign, along with perhaps an itch to travel or a feeling of restlessness. Sometimes it can seem like there is too much going on when Sagittarius is in the forefront, however looking at things from a concept of the whole picture can be calming to the mind and restful to the body.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday(v/c-pm)(Full Moon): the Moon is in Capricorn
The sign Capricorn has the 10th house in a chart as its home base, no matter where the sign actually happens to be located in the chart. The 10th house is where we come out into the world, where we have a public image or are known for something, especially something we have accomplished. This Full Moon in Capricorn is about patting yourself on the back for all you have learned and all you have done in this lifetime so far and being magnanimous by acknowledging what others have achieved also.

Friday evening, Saturday: the Moon is in Aquarius
One of the main categories that comes under the rulership of Aquarius, meaning that it is associated with this sign, is friendship. This can be your closest and best friend, your circle of supportive friends, a family member who is also your friend, etc. The focus this weekend is camaraderie, companionship, and social activities.

Check your astrology chart to find which house (section of your chart) has the current Moon sign on the cusp (the beginning edge) & apply Forecast information to that area of your life as well.
For example, the Moon is in Leo and one of the suggestions is to entertain - however Leo is located in the 12th house of your chart, which is an inward energy place...then have a small, quiet gathering. By contrast, if Leo is located in the 1st house of your chart, an outward energy place...have a party!
It is interesting to note when the current Moon is in the same sign as your birth Moon and to see how the flavor of that day carries through the following 30 days.

Current Planet Positions:
Sun - Cancer, until July 23
Mercury - Leo, until July 29
Venus - Cancer, until July 29
Mars - Gemini, until Aug. 3
Jupiter - Taurus, until June 12, 2012
Saturn - Libra, until Oct. 6, 2012
Uranus - Aries, until Mar. 6, 2019
(Taurus, May 16, 2018-Nov. 7, 2018)
Neptune - Aquarius, until Feb. 4, 2012
(Pisces, Apr. 5-Aug. 5, 2011)
Pluto - Capricorn, until Nov. 20, 2024

Current Asteroid Positions:
Ceres - Pisces, until Jan. 20, 2012
Pallas - Aquarius, until Feb. 13, 2012
Juno - Virgo, until July 28
Vesta - Aquarius, until Dec. 21
Chiron - Pisces, until Apr. 22, 2018

Current Asteroid Transits:
Ceres - Harvest the core basics of spiritual beliefs or philosophies.
Pallas - A practical application of information is the best approach.
Juno - State clearly what is wanted in a personal partnership.
Vesta - Personal desires are mixed together with personal responsibilities.
Chiron - Transcend wounds and negativity through compassion.

Note: Timeframes for Moon signs, void-of-course periods, and current planet & asteroid positions are noted for Eastern time zone (USA). Please adjust according to your own location. Times are not given if the void-of-course Moon occurs for a very short period or if it occurs during the night (based on same Eastern time zone).

* v/c = Void-of-Course - When the Moon is void-of-course, spend time working on projects already in progress, creative endeavors, or self-improvement. Void-of-course simply means that no planets are aspecting the Moon as it gets ready to change signs. It's best not to start new projects, sign important agreements, or go shopping when the Moon is void-of-course because the result will probably be unsatisfactory in some way.

Love, Light and Abundant Blessings,
LadyHawk

Lady N,

Google "Wendy Murphy Law." I don't know if she takes cases any longer (she teaches at a Boston University), but she might be able to refer you to someone. She's the best. Ever. A tireless advocate for women and children.

Alex, now 7, didn't want to be at his dad's because he was always taking pills, smoking crack, shooting up (yes, around the kids) and was either high or sleeping; didn't take care of the kids, didn't feed them, etc. Alex called both his mother and me begging one of us to come get him and his sister Hailey, now 4, but James would not hear of it. The court wouldn't do anything about it--would not give Amber full custody.

> 2 years ago, my daughter's boyfriend got laid off, and couldn't find work, necessitating moving to Georgia where was a job waiting for him. Her ex petitioned for full custody since Amber was moving out of state, and got it. Amber had lost Hannah at 20 weeks gestation, and was already close to a breakdown. During this time, her ex would rarely let her talk to the kids. She would go to Jacksonville to see them after making plans with her ex, and he wouldn't be at home, and she could never find him. A year ago, her ex called her and told her he couldn't handle having both kids, begging her to come get Hailey, and she couldn't have been happier. She kept begging her ex to let her have Alex, but he wouldn't. In March of this year, Amber received a phone call from her ex's sister, saying Alex had been left alone in the house for 4 days, and a neighbor had contacted her. Tammy (the sister) went and got Alex and called the police, after finding out that the ex was staying in a motel partying. The police went to the room, finding needles and heroin, and arrested him. Tammy, who has lupus, isn't physically capable of taking care of Alex, and asked Amber to come pick him up, which she did.

DCF workers talked to Tammy, who told them that James had gone over the edge, telling them about many times that Alex had been dropped off at her house while James disappeared for days at a time, and was not fit to have them, and that she had called Amber to come get Alex.

> In May, 4 police cars from Georgia and DCF workers from Jacksonville, FL pulled up in Amber and Tony's driveway, and took the children. They were put into foster care in Jacksonville by DCF, and were considering arresting Amber for kidnapping. Amber is allowed to visit them twice a month, and was let go from her job because of taking those Wednesday's off. Yesterday Amber received a letter from DCF saying a case had been opened against Hailey's foster mom (yes, they even separated the children) for abusing Hailey. Since this began, Amber's public defender nas not been in touch with her, while Amber has been leaving messages for her every day. When Amber tried to get some answers from the DCF worker yesterday, she was told "I can't really speak about that." What the eff? Hailey and Alex were removed from a loving mother's home and Hailey was ultimately was being beat by her foster parent?Amber is beside herself with worry. And their sperm donor is released from his cell every weekend for visits with the kids, who don't want to see him. What the eff?

I would add chondroitin and MSM to the Glucosamine supplement (they're often formulated together).

Personally, I take a ginger/tumeric supplement and a cherry supplement to help with inflammation. You can eat these things as well as pineapple.

Fran's very right, make sure nothing you want to take can interfere with anything else you're taking.

If it has a 'chloride' label on it or the word 'sodium' in it, those are your clues to leave it alone (for instance, table salt is sodium chloride; another common one, potassium chloride, is a potassium salt used as a preservative and in some mineral supplements, multivitamins, and over the counter cold remedies).

Small stretching exercises, a bit of yoga (there are many DVDs for the disabled and the bedridden which are helpful --- check your local library or used sports equipment store!), or even a small walk (just five minutes) can help. I found when I just sat in my wheelchair all day, my legs and feet would swell to ridiculous proportions.
>

I use body pillows to block my joints into the positions they need to be in (my knees, hips, and leg bones all are prone to both swelling and dislocations, which complicates the swelling and the pain)

Make sure he checks vitamin D, vitamin B, iron, and SED rate. A complete blood count wouldn't be a bad idea either. If your joint problems are accompanied by metabolic problems such as weight gain or weight loss, make sure he runs a metabolic panel too.
>
> There's no shame in using prescribed medications if that's what it takes to reduce the swelling and the pain. I started with OTC and alternative treatments, but ended up using the prescriptions anyhow. There came a point when the others just stopped being effective and I was contemplating ending my life because the pain and swelling were so bad. I now take Celebrex, Lyrica, and Vicodin in a carefully managed combination to ensure that I'm comfortable and as pain free as possible while still remaining active (ignore the wheelchair --- it actually gave me back a lot of mobility I didn't have otherwise, not to mention motivation to do things!)
