Thank you Tim for this very sad news, may Carole's journey be peaceful, and
may the Goddess send love and healing to all who knew and loved her. At one
time this wonderful lady gave me such comfort when I was dealing with an
unexplained event, she too had been affected, and we had a true connection
of support for each other, rest in peace Craft Crone xXx

It is with great sadness that I have to report that Carole Chapman "Crafty
Crone" has passed into the Summerlands.

Very sad news indeed, and most unexpected.

I only knew her for the last couple of years but am grateful for having the very limited time I did spend with her. To me, she was kind, colourful, hospitable, generous, and struck me as sincere in her lifelong devotion to the Goddess, and to Witchcraft. In that sense, I gather that she was an inspiration to many over the years, holding gatherings from time to time for instructional or other purposes, very few of which I attended myself.

Carole rang me only a few weeks ago, quite out of the blue as it had been some time since our last chat. She seemed in good form, albeit with an increased sense that time was ticking, and an imminent catch-up was in the pipeline. Among other things, I had hoped to record some of her stories and memories, in some tangible way such as an interview, to preserve and to share their memory. But alas!

She will be missed.

(But somehow, I can still hear her cackle! Thank you Carole)

Her former husband was coming to pick her up late that afternoon and by the time he arrived she had past away. As it so happens this was about the exact hour of the full moon on Thursday. (But of course, so no surprises there.)
