Can you hear the Pipes of PAN?

As Damh the Bard asked on his recent tour "Can you hear the Pipes of PAN?", the Pagan Awareness Network is giving you the answer and that is YES.

The Pagan Awareness Network (PAN) is proud to announce the release of it's first compilation CD, "The Pipes of PAN"

The Pipes of PAN has been a labour of love for many at the Pagan Awareness Network over the past 7 years, working to create a sampler of Australian Pagan Music, and as a collective the Committee at the Pagan Awareness Network is exceptionally happy with the results

"The Pipes of PAN" features Australian Pagan Artists and their music. The featured artists include:

a.. Spiral Dance is an Adelaide-based folkrock band whose musical focus is on the concepts of magic, myth and legend. The band was formed in 1992 as a project to explore some of the more mystical elements in life and has drawn its energy from the song writing and vocal skills of Adrienne Piggott. Current members are: Adrienne Piggott - vocals. Ingrid Hapke - violin, vocals. David Bentley - bass, vocals. Nick Carter - guitar, vocals. Paul Gooding - button accordion, vocals. Rick Kearsley - drums and percussion.
b.. Wendy Rule is an Australian musical artist. She was born in Sydney, but now lives in Melbourne. She is a practicing witch and her lyrics typically address pagan and mythological themes. Wendy Rule's music is a passionate union of voice and beautifully dark and visionary lyrics.
c.. Louisa John-Krol is a Victorian-based artist on the French label Prikosnovenie. Her songs of centaurs, birds, seagiants, dragons, psychopomps, sirens and salamanders combine fiery energy with ambience, whimsy and humanity. Internationally acclaimed, they challenge the boundaries of the underground scenes that cherish them.
d.. Peter O'Callaghan a solo artist from Olinda, Victoria. He released his debut album Within The Sacred Circle in December 2003
e.. Dandelion Wine are a musical duo based in Melbourne. The band combines medieval and Middle Eastern instruments with electronic beats, female vocals and swirling guitars. Current members are: Naomi Henderson - Vocals, flute, recorder, guitar, percussion, keyboards. Nicholas Albanis - Guitar, Appalachian dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, lute, bowed psaltery, keyboards, electronics, percussion, vocals.
