Psychic Witch: Schedule Change and Brief Announcement...Pompton Lake

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

the Psychic Witch: Schedule Change and Brief Announcement...

Please be advised that, the "Love Healing Event" that I had scheduled for this Wednesday, July 27, 2011, 7-9:30PM at TRS shall not take place.  It shall be rescheduled to take place before the end of the year.

For those of you that were looking forward to the "Love Healing Event," I highly recommend you participate in either one or both of the Prosperity and Abundance Events for Abundant Finances that I AM leading next month.  Roughly one-quarter to one-half of the participants of my Prosperity Events are Energy Healing Practitioners.  This is not only a huge compliment for me, as I AM also an Energy Healing Practitioner, but it creates a Divine Abundance of Divine Love Healing Energy for ALL in attendance.

For those of you that have already replied to inform me that you shall participate in either one or both of the Prosperity Events I AM leading in August, 2011, thank you.  For those of you that have yet to do so, please take a few moments to let me know.  PLEASE NOTE: In addition to serving light refreshments (both foods and beverages), I am giving all the participants handouts and gifts.  You taking the time to let me know that you shall definitely or may possibly be in attendance helps me make sure that I have more than enough foods, beverages, handouts and gifts for everyone in attendance.

I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the soon-to-be-rescheduled of the "Love Healing Event," and thank you for both taking the time to read my brief announcement, and for honoring who I AM and what I do.  And now, I need to reply to some wonderful Emails from some wonderful clients, students and friends.

May all the Goddesses, Gods, Angels and Fairies Lovingly and Lavishly Bless all of you and yours with Divine Love, Divine Light and Divine Life.

Enchanted Empress Blessings, Robert Alvarez, the Psychic Witch, and the Empowered, Wild and Free Afro-Cuban Gay Man.

Goddess For Today: Anne Feast of Saint Anne (Brittany, Canada)

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:32 pm (PDT)

Goddess For Today: Anne
Feast of Saint Anne (Brittany, Canada)

Themes:  Miracles; Wishes; Kindness; Health
Symbols: Freshwater; Household Items

About Anne:  Saint Anne is a freshwater Goddess who helps us learn the value of abounding selflessness, and how to better tend to our household matters when the chaos of summer seems to have our attention elsewhere.  In Canada she is also credited with miraculous healing powers.

To Do Today: Traditionally, supplicants come to Saint Anne wearing outfits from their cultures, kneeling, and speaking their requests.  This is a little awkward in our workaday world.  So, instead, quaff a full glass of spring water first thing in the morning so Saint Anne will stay with you all day, protecting you from the sniffles and encouraging a little domesticity.

If your house is cluttered, you can invoke Saint Anne and welcome her energy into your home simply by straightening up and using a little magical elbow grease as you go!  Visualize white light filling your home, sing magical songs, burn some incense, and use plain water to wash the floors so Saint Anne's power can be absorbed into every nook and cranny.  If you know of a person who's been laid up and unable to do such things for themselves, I also suggest offering a helping hand.  This will draw Saint Anne's well-being to that individual and fill his or her living space with healthful energy.  The act of kindness will also draw Saint Anne's blessings to you.

Purifying Home

Purifying Home
Monday

Color of the day: Ivory
Incense of the day: Rosemary

Monday, governed by the Moon, is a good day for doing purification
work. With the warm weather of summer upon us in the Northern
Hemisphere, now is a good time for energetically cleansing and purifying
your home. Start at the main entrance, and walking clockwise, open all
the doors and windows wide letting the fresh air flow in and through. At
the main entrance again, affirm: “I purify this home.” Using a shell,
or bowl, burn dried sage or sweet grass for purification and blessing,
and walking clockwise, smudge each opening with the smoke of the sacred
herbs. Bless it: “This home is safe, happy, healthy, and whole.” Now
smudge yourself, affirming: “All who live here are safe, happy, healthy,
and whole.” Walking widdershins (counterclockwise), close each window
and door, and returning to the main entrance, incant: “All is well in
this home.” Purify seasonally and after anything odd or untoward has
happened.

Song From The Siberian Yokut People

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:45 pm (PDT)

At this hour, the mountain glow
fades in the tender heavens.
At this hour, the hills themselves
join in conversation.
At this hour, the mountains
talk softly together,
the firs lean into each other
having conversation,
and willow bends to willow
whispering secrets.
Clouds too are drawn to each other
and then apart, at this hour.
~Song From The Siberian Yokut People

Nature is not dumb and wordless. Our forebears spoke of nature as alive, of trees as communicating one with the next, of the spirits of valleys and of oceans speaking to each other and to their human cousins.

Science is now finding language that affirms some of these insights into our planetary connections. Trees attacked by pests emit chemical signals to other trees, warning them of the danger; the receiving trees then have time to produce chemicals noxious to the invader. Thus the song of the Siberian Yokut people is not only poetic, but deeply true, for the forest trees communicate with each other in ways that we are only now beginning to rediscover. Perhaps we will also find that stones and clouds, which we believe inanimate but which earlier peoples saw as alive, communicate as the song suggest

Day 6: Crafts and Creations for Lammas

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Get Ready for Lammas!

Day 6: Crafts and Creations for Lammas
From Patti Wigington, your Guide to Paganism / Wicca
It's late summer, and that means the harvest is about to begin in just a few short weeks. In fact, grain is being threshed right now to make bread for the winter. Lammas falls as our gardens and fields are in full bloom, so there are all kinds of natural goodies you can use in craft projects. Why not try creating some of these simple creations as a way of welcoming the early harvest?
Lammas Rebirth Incense

Lammas is a time to celebrate the beginning of the harvest. We're thankful for the foods we've grown, and for the bounty of the earth, and the knowledge that we'll have enough to eat through the coming winter months. Blend this loose incense to burn during your early harvest celebrations, as you celebrate the cycle of life, death and rebirth...Lammas Rebirth Incense

Lammas Cornucopia

The cornucopia is a simple symbol of abundance. Fill one with the gatherings from your late summer garden, and hang it to welcome friends to your home... Lammas Cornucopia

Make a Corn Doll

Although the corn doll is often used to celebrate the goddess Brighid at Imbolc, they are often constructed as a representative of the Grain Mother during the early harvest. Use corn husks from the first harvest to create a corn doll, and then allow her to watch over your altar until spring returns again... Make a Corn Doll

Grapevine Pentacle

Grapevines are twining everywhere at this time of year, so if you get a chance to gather some up, they're great for craft projects. If you don't have a grapevine of your own, you can often find them growing in the wild or purchase them at farmer's markets. Use these flexible, versatile vines to make a pentacle you can hang on your wall... Grapevine Pentacle

Cornhusk Chain

Since corn is just everywhere by the time Lammas rolls around, why not use some of your leftover husks to make a chain? Put one together as a family project, and put it on your altar or over your door for the season... Cornhusk Chain

Apple Candleholders

Naturally, you'll want to put candles on your altar to celebrate this Sabbat. Why not use vegetables and fruits symbolic of the season to make a candleholder? These easy candleholders are perfect for holding a taper-style candle... Apple Candleholders

Make a Rain Barrel

For many Pagans and Wiccans, an important aspect of the spiritual journey is reverence and respect for the earth and all its resources. Part of this respect for the planet often includes conservation of the resources we use regularly. By the time Lammas arrives, summer is in full swing. Many areas are forced into water rationing, some face drought every year, and the crops in our gardens are beginning to look a bit brown and parched. By making a rain barrel, you can gather rain all year long, and then use it during the dry season... Make a Rain Barrel

Tomorrow: Your Lammas Celebration

No Pagan celebration is complete without a feast, so tomorrow I'll share some of my favorite Lammas recipes. Plan a potluck or some other get-together, and invite friends over to celebrate the beginning of the harvest season!
