What's wrong being called a Satanist?

What's wrong being called a Satanist?

I have a great discussion on Satanists and Why does Wiccans and Pagans
get upset when they are called Satanists? They are more about Self
worship and Anti Christian but yet you call a Pagan a Satanists there is a world of anger to it. Why do some condemn some for their belief and
yet get upset when theirs is condemned? Witches are from all beliefs
and religions, and yes there are Satanist Witches LOL but Why do some
get upset with the word Satanist?

Goddess For Today: Alaghom Mayan New Year (Central America)

Goddess For Today: Alaghom
Mayan New Year (Central America)

Themes: Time; Destiny; Cycles; Magic
Symbols:  Calendars

About Alaghom:  In Mayan tradition, Alaghom created the ability to think, reason, and mark time using those skills.  She also designed the intangible parts of nature, which take us beyond concrete realities into the world of the Goddess and her magic.

To Do Today:   Mayans believed that each day and year had its own God or Goddess, and that this being governed destiny during its time frame.  So the new year was greeted with either joy or trepidation, depending on the divine persons in charge!  For our purposes, this means invoking Alaghom's aid in making every moment of our lives count, making them magical, and filling them with goddess energy.  Gather all your calendars and appointment books and place your hands, palms-down, over them.

"Alaghom, today is but one day out of many, yet let me recognize the possibilities that lie within it.  Give me the good judgment and sensibility to use my time wisely.  Help me make every day on earth something truly magical and filled with your power.  As I walk through this world, let me see beyond my eyes into the soul of creation.  Let me appreciate the abundant spiritual power in every blade of grass and stone, and most important, within myself.  So be it."

Prosperity Spell

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Sun Jul 17, 2011 9:15 pm (PDT)

 Prosperity Spell

In July, the countryside throbs with life. Bees and hummingbirds are busy, and the air is scented with herbs and honeysuckle. This spell combines
money-attracting herbs of the summer season to draw in abundance.
Combine one part each of basil, dill, and mint. Finely chop the leaves
and dry them on a paper towel, or heat them in the microwave for a few
seconds on medium. Crumble together the herbs on a piece of cheese-cloth and tie it all up with green ribbon. Anoint three green candles with
olive oil and light them. Holding the charm bag before the flames
announce in a clear voice:

Herbs of protection, herbs of healing,
herbs of wealth,
Bring me just enough prosperity.
With harm to none,
So mote it be.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip - Citronella or Lemon Eucalyptus

Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM   chic0411

Sun Jul 17, 2011 9:16 pm (PDT)

Daily Aromatherapy Tip - Citronella or Lemon Eucalyptus

Iprefer lemon eucalyptus just because it has a slight lemon aroma
under that citronellal note instead of that weird, unpleasant note
you get with citronella. I've found that by misting myself with
either of these, I can reduce the mosquito bites. These two oils are
pretty effective at eliminating bug attacks.

* Fill a plant mister and mist your clothes (check for stain
resistance on some fabrics). Contrary to public opinion, you don't
need to put it on your skin. Just in proximity since mosquitoes are
repelled by smell. I'll usually spray a bit in the air and then walk
through it so my head/hair gets some.

* If you hang clothes on the line, put 1/4 oz in your rinse water
when you wash. If you use a dryer, the heat will flash off most of
the aroma although there will be some and, depending on how prone
you are to mosquito bites, will stillact as an effective mosquito
repellent.  ~Unknown source

St Swithin's Day - St Swithin was an early Saxon Bishop of Winchester. On his death bed, he asked to be buried among the poor in the common churchyard, but later, after many miracles at his gravesite, the monks moved his body inside to a splendid shrine, whereupon the saint wept in protest, causing a continuous downpour for forty days. Thus he came to be associated with weather charms like this:

St Swithin's Day, if it does rain
Full forty days, it will remain
St Swithin's Day, if it be fair
For forty days, twill rain no more

Rain on St Swithin's Day blesses the apples which should not be picked or eaten before his feast. All apples growing at this time will ripen. Kightly, Charles, The Perpetual Almanack of Folklore, Thames & Hudson 1987

Gorestnici, Fire Festival - July was called the "hot month" in Bulgaria, partly because the people celebrated a fire festival of three days duration beginning on the 15th. Nilsson, Martin P, Primitive Time Reckoning, Oxford University Press 1920

Voudun: In mid-July - Pilgrimage to Saut d' l'Eau, where devotees bathe in the waterfall sacred to Simbi. Simbi is the loa who represents fresh waters and rainfall, and oversees the making of all charms, protective and destructive. Simbi's animal symbol is the water snake, his color is green, and his favored sacrifice is a speckled cock. Simbi has been called the "Voodoo Mercury." He is considered by some to be "the quickening force" of Papa Legba, who symbolizes the Sun and is the essential center of the Haitian belief system.

Daily Aromatherapy Tip Facial dryness

This can be quite helpful during the summer.Facial dryness, including fine lines
can be reduced with regular facial misting. You can create a mist using
distilled water, then adding essential oils, herbal extracts, hydrosols or floral waters
or a combination of the above. Facial Misting is good for all skin types
and can be used as often as desired.

Recommended is 3x daily, morning, noon and night. Be careful not to get the mist in your eyes.
Essential oils to try are Lavender, Rose, Neroli, Chamomile, Rosewood and Geranium.
