Working through Silence
Noise as a Distraction
Distracting yourself with talk-radio and television can become mind-numbing if not taken in moderation.
Our lives are typically filled with noise. There are the noises from the outside world that we cannot control, and there are the noises we allow into our lives. These noises, from seemingly innocuous sources like the television and radio, can actually help us avoid dealing with uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. However, using noise as a distraction hurts more than it helps because you are numbing yourself to what may be internally bubbling up to the surface for you to look at and heal. Distracting yourself with talk-radio, television, or other background noises can also prevent you from finding closure to issues that haunt you.
Noise as a distraction can affect us in many ways. It can help you stay numb to emotions that you don't want to feel, allow you to avoid dealing with problems, distract you from having to think, and make it easier for you to forget reality. Drowning out the thoughts and emotions you find uncomfortable or overwhelming can complicate your issues because it allows them to fester. By tuning out noise and relishing silence, you create the space to experience and express what you are hiding. It is only then that self-exploration can begin in earnest and you can stare down frightening issues. In silence, it becomes easier to let your strongest feelings come forth, deal with them, and find new ways of resolving your problems.
When you go within without the veil of noise to shield you from yourself, you'll be able to figure out what you need to heal. Embracing silence and introspection allows you to work through your thoughts and emotions and transmute them. Free of the need for noise, you can accept your pain, anger, and frustration as they come up and turn them into opportunities to evolve.

Well, not much progress has been made in the situation concerning my daughter and her children. Since Amber was appointed a public defender, Legal Aid said they couldn't help her. So, disappointment in that area. She got to see the children only once last week in spite of being there all week. And, for having to take time off from work to be in Jacksonville, she was let go from her job. Disappointment there. One of her case requirements is that she maintain a job, which on their part was unrealistic if they called on her to be in Jacksonville at a moment's notice from DCF. Catch 22 there.
Meanwhile, they dropped all charges (all the drug charges) against her ex except for the charge of presenting a false ID. He will get out the 22nd of this month. Then the taxpayers will pay for him to go to rehab at River Region for 6 months.
So, at this point, I am still soooo frustrated about the way this is being handled. Two innocent children are being made to pay for the ineptitude of DCF and the "system." I don't know what will happen next. I will start posting again tonight, but it might not be as often as before. I've been doing some spellwork trying to get this on track, and it has been time-consuming.
Thank you to those who sent their support. When I get 900+ e-mails whittled down somewhat, I will answer your e-mails individually. And thanks to the mods, notably Lady Hawk, who posted info in my absence.

I am so very sorry that there has been no positive movement forward. I will keep you and the family in my prayers and send love and healing. May the Lord and Lady guide the decisions of those in power to see the truth.

did any one else see the news last night, thy showed a tree that was struck by lightning at the entrance to where cayle was found, could it be that the gods are just as angry as the rest of us about the not guilty.
just my thoughts.

Axis Video and Pine Barren Films have joined forces in creating a documentary film "THE SEARCH FOR THE NEW JERSEY DEVIL". We will be interviewing many people that have seen this mysterious beast and others that research this creature.
Help preserve one of New Jersey's curious creatures by contributing to this documentary film.

The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many variations. The Jersey Devil has worked its way into the pop culture of the area, even lending its name to New Jersey's team in the National Hockey League.
Legends and reported encounters:
Most accounts of the Jersey Devil legend attribute the creature to a "Mother Leeds", a supposed whore although the tale has many variations. According to one version, she invoked the devil by saying "let it be the devil" while giving birth to her 13th child, and when the baby was born, it either immediately or soon afterward transformed into a devil like creature and flew off into the surrounding pines. The child was born with horns, a tail, wings, and a horse-like head. The creature revisited Mrs. Leeds every day. She stood at her door and told it to leave. After awhile, the creature got the hint and never returned.
According to legend, while visiting the Hanover Mill Works to inspect his cannonballs being forged, Commodore Stephen Decatur sighted a flying creature flapping its wings and fired a cannonball directly upon it to no effect. Joseph Bonaparte, eldest brother of Emperor Napoleon, is also said to have witnessed the Jersey Devil while hunting on his Bordentown, New Jersey estate around 1820. Throughout the 19th century, the Jersey Devil was blamed for livestock killings, strange tracks, and reported sounds. In the early 20th century, a number of people in New Jersey and neighboring states claimed to witness the Jersey Devil or see its tracks. Claims of a corpse matching the Jersey Devil's description arose in 1957. In 1960, the merchants around Camden offered a $10,000 reward for the capture of the Jersey Devil, even offering to build a private zoo to house the creature if captured.
There are many other versions of the legend. The legends say it was the 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, or 13th child, It was born normal or deformed, and the mother confined it to the cellar or the attic. Although there are many discrepancies in all of these stories, there are 3 pieces of evidence that tie all of the legends of the Jersey Devil's origin together. From the pre 1909 era, few documented records of sightings still exist. The ones that do, confirm the existence of the devil.
