Great Spirit - Sometimes I don't feel like praying. Sometimes when I have done something wrong, I'm ashamed to come to You. Even though You have always been there for me, I sometimes choose to stay away. It's hard for me to understand what all knowing is. Sometimes it's hard for me to see how much You really care. But I know if I take a few minutes and think about what I know to be true about You, the things change and I am able to realize Your power and Your love. Today, I'll start by thinking of You. I'll think about all the times You have helped and guided me in the past. This may not be about True North but it’s interesting. I have yet to download the program but I want to do so...
pick out the constellations
Get a free program called "Stellarium" once you plug in your longitude and latitude, it'll display and label the sky as you see it right now (or on any given date) - very, very cool program.
Locate your longitude and latitude by going to Google and typing in the two words.

Releasing Negativity
Having a pity party for yourself is alright as long as you learn from it and don’t dwell in it for long periods of time.
We all have days when the bad things seem to outweigh the good ones and we begin to think that life isn’t fair. You get stuck in traffic, which makes you late for an important meeting, and then your car gets towed. You might ask yourself, “Why me?†Events like this one can test anyone’s ability to be grateful and feel optimistic. If you have a tendency to feel sorry for yourself, and many of us do, things usually progress to the next stage: the pity party. You begin to feel like the innocent victim of a dismal fate because you are seeing your life through inaccurate lenses. Most of the thoughts that run through your mind at times like these are not helpful, and they mainly serve to increase your indignation and feelings of powerlessness. What these feelings and thoughts don’t do is change your circumstances or make you feel better.
When you have a terrible day, there should definitely be a time and place to have your feelings so you can process them. It’s important not to pretend that you are fine with things when you aren’t. It’s also important, however, to notice when you’re having a pity party. It’s a good idea to set a time limit in which to fully express your emotions and not feel guilty, ashamed, or judge yourself. Having a friend witness you during this process can be helpful. You may also want to write about your feelings. When your time is up, let go of the negativity you just expressed. You can declare your intention to your friend. If you’ve written down your feelings, you can burn the piece of paper or throw it in the recycling bin.
Try not to dwell on unpleasant experiences and do everything you can to avoid holding on to negative emotions. When you indulge in self-pity, you only make a bad day worse. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, release the notion that you are a victim, and notice the good that exists in your life.

Welcome to the heat of the Summer! I don't know about you, but I'm not a big lover of this humidity. I hope you're surviving better than I am.
There are still a few reading spaces open with Raven and Stephanie Grimassi for August. If the spaces don't fill in, we will have to move everyone over to the September date, so if you're interested in receiving a reading from this very insightful and dynamic couple, don't delay in calling to reserve your spot. Speaking of classes, I'm working on the schedule. We're planning a pendulum class, a Feng Shui class, and a Tarot class, so stay tuned. The Roman Goddess Pomona was honored as the spirit of fruit trees, and also as the gardener who tends them. For many people, connection with nature occurs primarily through gardening. Even in urban areas, a pot of marigolds on a balcony will brighten the darkest day. The connection between people and plants is one that has always illuminated myth and ritual. Although few rituals exist today to celebrate the great productivity of plant and animal life each summer, we can build our own with friends and family. Eating the first corn, cutting the first ripe tomato, grilling fresh fish in the open air: if done consciously, these can become rituals of thanksgiving and love to the earth that sustains us.

About Minne: Minne is a German Goddess of love and fertility. Her name--meaning "remembrance"--was applied to a special cup for lovers in this part of the world. The cup was filled with specially prepared beer and raised between two people wishing to deepen their love. This gives Minne a strong association with devotion, unity, and fidelity.
To Do Today: During the second weekend in July, people in Geisenheim, Germany, gather around an ancient Linden Tree (six hundred plus years old) and celebrate the year's new wine. All aspects of the festival take place beneath the Linden's branches, which in magic terms represent safety and good fortune. The Linden flowers portray Minne's spirit, having been used in all manner of love magic! To protect a relationship, two lovers should carry dried Linden flowers with them always. When making a promise to each other, a couple may drink a wooden goblet of beer today, linking their destinies. Raise the glass to the sky first, saying, "Minne's love upon our lips, devotion in each sip."
Drink while looking deeply into each other's eyes. Or, exchange pieces of Linden wood as a magical bonding that invokes Minne's blessing. If Linden isn't native to your area, other trees and bushes that promote Minne's loving qualities include avens, elm, lemon, orange, peach, pear, primrose, rose, and willow.

Boundary-Protecting Banishing Spell & Ritual
You will need:
1 White Candle for Spirit
1 Black Candle for Protection
1 Black Candle for annoying or mean person
1 Candle to represent yourself
Oils, herbs, gemstones of your choice
Something for carving candles
Cast your Circle. Call upon the guides and guardians that you choose to call upon. If you are not sure
exactly if your phase of the moon is right, but need to do this right away, use this statement from Silver
Ravenwolf's book 'American Folk Magick': "May all astrological correspondences be correct for this working."
Around the time of the New (Dark) Moon, and before and perhaps just after, are very good for banishing spells.
The White Candle is for spirit, and a blessing oil, or holy or Florida Water would be good. One of the black
candles is for the person that has a personality that could lead to stalking and does not respect boundaries.
On this candle, carve the person's name, at least their first name. Van-Van oil would be a good choice for
this one or olive oil if you don't have a stay-away oil of some sort. On the other black candle, carve
'protection, dissolve negativity on it'. It might be good to carve a snake on it and use snake oil if you
have it. Snake oil will not only protect you, but make sure any negative energies never come back. A pentacle
is another good protective symbol. You can always look up the meanings of the oils and herbs you have to see
which ones are most appropriate. You can always roll your candles into the appropriate herbs after you have
oiled them. On your candle, which can be any color you choose, either for your astrological sign or other
reasons, carve your name and an ankh which symbolizes positive things and energy.
When all this is done, meditate for a few minutes on what you want to accomplish, to bring in only good
energies and repel any negative ones, protect yourself for this heedless and perhaps bullying person. Then
say the invocation part of the binding spell three times. When you are through, go to the door, open it,
visualize the spell going out into the ethers to manifest what you have asked for, and say or yell, "SO MOTE
IT BE!" Then visualize and breathe in positive energies and blow out into the Earth several times,
visualizing any negative energies going into the Earth to be transformed into positive energies; also any
extra energies helping Mother Earth.
Here is the spell, to be said three times, each time stronger and putting out
more energy:
