Flower & Herb Waters

Flower & Herb Waters
Rose & Rosemary Water
3 tbsp dried rosemary or 6 tbsp fresh rosemary
2 tbsp dried or fresh rose petals
4 cups water
1 Vitiman 'C' tablet(presertive)
Combine all ingredients in a small glass or enameled pan. Bring water JUST to a simmerand shut heat. Add herbs/flowers. Steep for 20 mins. *This process can be repeated using the same water and more herbs/flowers for a stronger scent. Add a vitamin 'C' tablet while mixture is still warm. * Cool to room temperature, then strain out the herbs. Put liquid in a bottle with a lid and dab on with cotton, OR put it in a spray bottle and spray on your face and body. This rinse will remove any traces of soap on your face. Refrigerate between uses.
You can use any flower or herb of your choice, other fav's of mine are Lavender, Lemon Verbana, Witch Hazel, Marigold. I also use my Flower/Herb waters to cleanse my Altar and magical tools.

Put things into motion in such a way that your desires do not manipulate
others. Everything can be done in a flowing way that does not force others
to your will. Manipulating other people ties your karma up with that
individual or group and makes it very hard to make changes later if
necessary. And, remember, everything you do returns to you three-fold. Some
believe this means 3 times, others believe that the energy is returned to
you on the physical, emotional & spiritual levels. Magick is the use of
focused energy; the more positive energy you put out, the more positive
energy will be returned - the more negative & manipulative energy you put
out, the more will be returned. Which would you prefer?
Here is a brief listing of the 3 most common things people do magick for and
their basic correspondences:

Invisibility Spell

Invisibility Spell
Below is a tried and true recipe for an invisibility manifesting preparation. Although it is presented as a powder, to be strewn, burned, or carried, the herbs given could just as well be concocted into a potion, oil, or tincture, but please, always remember ETHICS, ETHICS, ETHICS!!!
Invisibility Powder
At Dark Moon, in a mortar and pestle, grind together:
a.. 1 part Fern leaf, dried
b.. 1 part Poppy seeds
Add
a.. 2 parts Slippery Elm powder
b.. 1 part Myrrh
c.. 1 part Marjoram, dried
d.. 3 parts Dillweed, fresh if possible
e.. Grind all together, mixing well.
Add 9 drops almond tincture (almond cooking extract is great.) with enough spring water to make everything barely moist, and mix in well.
Place in a ceramic bowl, spreading as thinly as possible, and dry the mixture over low heat, stirring it occasionally, until it seems lightly browned. Pour back into mortar, and grind again, enchanting:

Let me walk here in between.
When finely powdered, store in a clear glass container. It will keep its power for years. Sprinkle, just a little bit, on yourself, objects, or in a place to be made invisible.

Music Magick

Music Magick
Music is magick.
*Sound is a slower vibration of light. There are exactly 44 octaves between
middle C at 256 Hz (cycles per second) and the color of deep red at 4.6 x 10
to the power of 15 Hz. The colors of the chakras correspondingly have tonal
aspects to them. Middle C (color red) corresponds to the root chakra, D
(color orange) to the sex chakra and so on up the scale. In harmonious
states, our chakras correspond (some of the time) to these equivalents. In
non harmonious states these color/tone/chakra relationships are less stable.
In states of denial and in addictions, the color/tone relationship is lost.
This "offness" energetically locks the belief system into sets of denial.
The universe then mirrors that set of beliefs to the person until they
choose to address the denial.
*The body may be thought of as being composed of many vibrational patterns
working synergistically as a whole. Thus, long thigh bones have a longer
resonance wavelength than a small bone in the finger. The larger muscle
groups and organs have a deeper resonance than the smaller ones. Similarly,
the blood system will have a lower resonance than the nervous system.
Specific pieces of music naturally have the capacity to resonate these
different groups. Thus, a strong rock rhythm with a rhythmic bass pattern
will vibrate the denser tissues, and in doing so help to loosen the
crystallized patterns that have become entrained there. As these old beliefs
are released, the pitch of that tissue will deepen and acoustically the
whole body will vibrate to a lower note. In a highly stressed individual the
body will have a higher pitch, and this in turn is reflected in their voice
patterns and body language. A voice analysis of this person will display the
lack of certain tones. The person may then be treated with music or tones
predominantly composed of those tones which are lacking.
There are several ways to make a music spell. Take the notes above (based in
the key of C),
correspond them to the letters in a word. Like MONEY...

When properly used in conjunction with other forms of "magick",
the results are more often than not, worth the effort.
Magickal Music
Music is simply a re-creation of the sounds of nature. Wind through trees,
the roar of the ocean hurling itself against jagged cliffs pattering rain,
the crackling of a lightning produced fire, the cry of birds and roars of
animals are some of the "instruments" that constitute the music of nature.
Human being have long integrated music into religious magical ritual for its
powerful effects. Shamans use a steady drum beat to induce trance and a drum
can be used to control the pace of magickal dance Then too, music has long
been celebrated for calming ferocious animals and humans as well.
Music can be a part of Wiccan workings today. You might simply find
appropriate pieces, selected from classical, ethnic, folk or contemporary
sources, and play these during rituals. Musically inclined Wiccans can
create music before, during or after the ritual. If you have proficiency
with an instrument, work it into your ritual. A flute, violin, recorder,
guitar, folk harp and other small instruments can easily be introduced into
ritual, as can drums, rattles, bells or even glasses of water and a knife
with which to strike them. Other less portable instruments can be recorded
and played back during ritual. Such musical interludes can be used directly
prior to the rite to set the mood; during, as an offering to the Goddess and
God or to rouse energy; and afterward in pure celebration and joy.
Some Wiccans compose a song which is in actuality a rite, encompassing
everything from the creation of sacred space and invoking the Deities to
thanking them for their presence. Music magic is truly what you decide to
make it. Four distinct types of instruments have specific powers. The drum,
rattle, xylophone and all percussion instruments are ruled by the element of
Earth, Thus, such instruments can be used to invoke fertility, increase
money, find a job, and so on. They can also to be used to invoke the Goddess
in ritual, or to "drum up" energy to send to the Earth.
The flute, recorder and all wind instruments are under the dominion of Air,
the intellectual element, and so can be used to increase mental powers or
visualization abilities, to discover ancient wisdom or knowledge, to improve
psychic faculties and to call upon the God.
Fire rules stringed instruments such as the lyre, harp, guitar, mandolin
ukulele and so on. Such instruments can be used in spells or rites involving
sexuality, health and bodily strength passion and will power, change,
evolution, courage and the destruction of harmful habits. They are also
excellent tools to use before ritual to purify the area in question, and
also the celebrant. Play a particular song, sing with the instrument, or
just strum around the area in a clockwise circle until the place is humming
with your vibrations. Strings can also be used to invoke the God.
Resonant metal such as the cymbal, sistrum, bell and gong are symbolic of
the element of Water, Since water encompasses healing fertility, friendship,
psychic powers, spiritual love, beauty, compassion, happiness and other
similar energies, bells, gongs or cymbals can be featured in such spells and
rites. The sistrum of Isis reminds us that resonant metal invokes the
Goddess. Musical spells can be simple and effective. Need Money? sit quietly
dressed in green and slowly thump a drum, visualizing yourself bursting with
cash while invoking the Goddess in her aspect of provider of abundance. If
your depressed, find a bell with a pleasant tone and ritually strike or ring
it, feeling the sounds vibrations cleansing your of the depression and
lifting your spirits. Or, wear a small bell. Whey your afraid, play a six
string or listen to pre recorded guitar music while visualizing yourself as
confident and courageous. Invoke the God in his Horned, aggressive,
protective aspect.
Singing, a combination of speech and music, can be readily integrated into
Wiccan rituals. Some Wiccans set chants and invocation to music or sing as
they feel compelled to during ritual. Many Wiccans never pursue the subject
of music magick and simply play recorded tunes as backgrounds to their
rituals. This is fine, but self created music integrated into your rituals
can be more effective, as long as you like the piece. Today a number of pre
recorded Wiccan and Pagan cassette tapes are available, While widely varying
in quality, its worthwhile to pick up a few tapes by mail. Some songs can be
used in ritual, but most are best played while preparing for ritual, or
afterwards when relaxing Appropriate music incorporated into ritual can
greatly enhance the Wiccan Experience

The sign Taurus is solid and unwavering, patient, steadfast, and determined; it likes to follow through on a project and get the job done. Speaking of following through on something, the time leading directly up to a New Moon is best used to wind up some details and to check things off a list or two. By the way, it's perfectly fine to put some of those things on another list for later. Keep activities light (Gemini) and avoid pressure or scattered energies (Gemini). You may want to schedule some time just for reading in the middle of this week.
Thursday(v/c-evening), Friday(v/c): the Moon is in Cancer
The last two days of this week leading up to the New Moon are all about a can-do attitude toward your domestic (Cancer) environment. What can you do to make it even more comfortable, a nurturing (Cancer) place of retreat from the outside world? If you happen to be someone who works from home, then check to see that you have a clearly delineated work space that doesn't carry over into your home space in any way.
Saturday(New Moon): the Moon is in Leo
Have lots and lots of fun (a Leo word) this weekend and celebrate (also a Leo word) the New Moon with the people, places, or things you enjoy the most.
Check your astrology chart to find which house (section of your chart) has the current Moon sign on the cusp (the beginning edge) & apply Forecast information to that area of your life as well.
For example, the Moon is in Leo and one of the suggestions is to entertain - however Leo is located in the 12th house of your chart, which is an inward energy place...then have a small, quiet gathering. Look for the Extraordinary in the Ordinary
I heard a story about two workers who were approached by a reporter. The
reporter asked the first worker, "What are you doing?" His response was to
complain that he was virtually a slave, an underpaid bricklayer who spent his
days wasting his time, placing bricks on top of one another.
The reporter asked the second worker the same question. His response,
however, was quite different. "I'm the luckiest person in the world," he
said. "I get to be a part of important and beautiful pieces of architecture.
I help turn simple pieces of brick into exquisite masterpieces."
They were both right.
The truth is, we see in life what we want to see. If you search for ugliness
you'll find plenty of it. If you want to find fault with other people, your
career, or the world in general, you'll certainly be able to do so. But the
opposite is also true. If you look for the extraordinary in the ordinary,
you can train yourself to see it. This bricklayer sees cathedrals within
pieces of brick. The question is, can you? Can you see the extraordinary
synchronicity that exists in our world; the perfection of the universe in
action; the extraordinary beauty of nature; the incredible miracle of human
life? To me, it's all a matter of intention. There is so much to be
grateful for, so much to be in awe about. Life is precious and
extraordinary. Put your attention on this fact and little, ordinary things
will take on a whole new meaning.
