The Dancers Tarot - Kickstarter Fundraiser

[Dancers Tarot Flier]
<http://www.kickstarter.com/projects >/600727120/ the-dancers- tarot
Dear friends and witches
I'm in the final days of my Kickstarter fundraiser for "The Dancers
Tarot" -- a deck of tarot cards with photos of dancers to
represent the archetypes.
You can watch the project video, read all about it, & help out here:
www.kickstarter.com/projects/ 600727120/ the-dancers- tarot
<http://www.kickstarter.com/projects >/600727120/ the-dancers- tarot
I have 5 more days to raise $2500. Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing
system: I only get the money that has been pledged if I reach my entire
funding goal by June 5th. Backers (at any level) get rewards; for $50
you get a copy of the completed deck! If 50 more people pledge $50 each,
the fundraiser will be a success! Thanks for any support you are able
to offer! Even a few dollars helps. Help spread the word by
telling a friend, tweeting about it, or linking to my project on
facebook.
In Gratitude,
Moti Zemelman

"....will stand up against someone who preaches Biblical principles on the one hand and then encourages intolerance and bigotry on the other...."
Ah, herein lies the problem. I would argue as the devil's advocate (if you'll excuse the term) that intolerance against nonbelievers IS consistent with bibilical principles.
Check out the old testament, quite violent in its views towards those not of the chosen faith. And looking at the new testament for this particular area is kind of like comparing apples and oranges as Jesus was preaching to Jews, not pagans. It wasn't until after his death that the religion spread to gentiles, so it's kind of a moot point as far as the gospels go.
The Judeo-Christian bible is fraught with contradiction, even in the base tenants usually agreed upon by most christians, which is why the religion made my head hurt as a child.

Speaking of the violence lets not forget that the early christians were also killed by the Jews and the Romans. The martyr Stephen as just one example. then we could look at King Herod killing all the baby boys of certain ages trying to keep the new born king from growing up.  So it's not just the OT.
And supposedly Jesus told his people to go into the whole world to preach his message.
My 5 cents worth (inflation ya know).
Namaste,

Daily Feng Shui Tip
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99

Daily Feng Shui Tip by Ellen Whitehurst for Thursday, June 2
Whenever I hear the two words 'rocky' and 'road' paired together it usually has nothing to do with a chocolate marshmallow ice cream dessert, but with a current and perhaps troubling state of affairs. So on this 'National Rocky Road Day' I want to address that same challenging vein of thinking as opposed to the one that speaks to delicious goodness. If you've hit some rough patches on the road to bountiful, consider making a fresh start with a comprehensive cleanse of the stale or stalled energies in your living space. One effective way of moving energies along is to open all the windows and doors of your space. Then, beginning at the front entryway and walking the main floor in a clockwise direction, take a small brass bell and walk through every room, pausing at every corner. Hold the bell in front of your forehead and ring it three times. Do the same thing with the bell held in front of your heart, and then in front of your navel. Ring the bell a total of nine times in each corner in order to loosen negative or Sha chi. Once back at the front door, light a stick of incense and begin the clockwise cleanse one more time by following the same 'road' you just traveled, pausing in each corner to allow the smoke to 'free' the energies while doing the same for your intentions and goals. If the incense is still smoking when you return to the front entrance, just allow it to burn out in the center of your space before disposing of the ashes outside. Once you see the immediate and excellent results from this powerful space-clearing cure, you'll find a new route to fulfillment and reward, one that will be easy to swallow!

Elder's Meditation of the Day - June 2
"The Natural Law is the final andabsolute authority governing E Te No Ha,the earth we call our Mother."
-- Traditional Circle of Elders
There is no power greater than the NaturalLaws. These powers were set up by the GreatSpirit in such a way that the human being hasno access to it, except by obeying. If we choosenot to follow the Natural Laws, our live willbe filled with confusion, tension, anxiety andstress. If we poison the Earth, we poison ourselves. If we poison the Water of the Earth, wepoison ourselves. As we do to the Earth, we doto ourselves and our children, even the childrenunborn. May we think about this todayand ask ourselves, "Are we holding and actingtoward the Mother Earth in a good way?"
Great Spirit, teach me theNatural Lawsthat governthe Earth.

Elder's Meditation of the Day

Elder's Meditation of the Day
"If people are going to get back into balance, one of the things they have to do is seek the truth. They have to start really speaking the truth themselves, and that's a difficult thing to do. The way it is now in the world, we don't mind lying."
-- John Peters (Slow Turtle), WAMPANOAG
Well everybody's doing it. Do unto others before they do unto you. If it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all. These are excuses and rationalizations for giving up accountability. Be true to yourself. Seek the truth, the Great Spirit is the truth. The truth shall set you free. This is the truth. We cannot be free if we are dishonest nor can we live a balanced life if we are dishonest. As we grow, we need to start taking stands. All warriors take stands. The warrior's belief is constantly being aligned to truth. The warrior will always know where he/she stands.
Great Spirit, help me today to seek Your truth, not my truth.

Composing Bliss
Poetry as Meditation
Sculpting your thoughts into a poem can take you on a journey where your conscious mind is momentarily cast adrift.
The creation of any kind of art can be as much a form of meditation as a vehicle for self-expression. Energetically splashing colors of paint onto a canvas can be like casting the weight of the world off your shoulders, while raising your voice to hit the high notes of a song can inspire you to release your fears so you can reach new heights in your own life. And then there is the act of meditation that can take place when you create poetry. Sculpting your thoughts and emotions into a poem can take you on a journey into your inner universe where your conscious mind is momentarily cast adrift.
Like other forms of meditation, writing poetry requires that you stay fully present during the process, rather than focusing on any outcome. In doing so, you release any inhibitions or ideas of âwhat needs to happen,â so that your thoughts can flow freely through you. When you write poetry, you are able to see the reflections of your innermost self imprinted on a page.
If youâd like to experience poetry as a meditation practice, you might want to try this exercise: Set aside twenty minutes where you can be alone in a quiet space. You may want to look at poems other people have written to see if there is a style of poetry you would like to try. You can also try writing in freeform. The structure of the poem will then organically reveal itself to you. When you are ready, sit down with pen and paper and let the words flow. Donât think about what you are going to say next, and donât worry about spelling, grammar, or logic. Instead, be as descriptive, visually precise, rhythmic, or lyrical as you want to be. When you feel complete, put the pen down, and read over what youâve written. Appreciate this work of art you have created. You may even find that thoughts and emotions you had repressed before are now making themselves known so you can process and release them. Writing poetry as a form of meditation lets you
slow down your mind long enough! for you to get out of your own way, so that your soul can freely express its deepest yearnings.

Genie Lamp Spell
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99
Thu Jun 2, 2011 8:52 pm (PDT)
Genie Lamp Spell
Arabic legend tells of magic lamp that, when rubbed, produced a genie who granted wishes. Modern lamps, of course, are constructed differently from those of olden times. Still, we use the image of a light bulb over someoneâs head to represent an idea. This spell unites the two concepts. You will need a small desk lamp, preferably with a brass base and a fancy shade that looks magical to you. Hold the lamp and charge it with power, saying: âSpirits of inspiration, genies of wind and flame, I invite you to dwell in this lamp.â Keep the lamp on your desk. When you need inspiration, rub it, and say: âLamp that burns bright, grant me graceful words that soar like birds, as I write this night."

Fun Friday: How is Your Day Going?
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99
Thu Jun 2, 2011 8:57 pm (PDT)
Let me guess....
First you had trouble getting
out of bed
You had a stiff neck
You washed your hair
and couldn't do a thing with it
Your new diet really
doesn't seem to be working out
You pulled a muscle when
you tried to exercise
Your new hat looked better
on you at the store
You keep losing things
The boss chewed you out at work
You got caught in the rain
at lunchtime
Then the lunch you had
didn't seem to agree with you
You feel trapped
Uninvited guests showed up at dinnertime
On top of that you think
you're coming down with the flu
And finally, you're alone in the house at night when you think you
hear a noise in the basement
MAYBE TOMORROW
WILL BE BETTER!!
Thought for the Day
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away
Love Each Day,

Burying Spell
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99
Thu Jun 2, 2011 9:02 pm (PDT)
Burying Spell
Perform a burying spell and lay to rest an old hurt, a dead relationship, or an outgrown habit. Choose a symbol that embodies the aspect of your life that you need to let go ofâ" a cigarette for example can represent an obsolete love affair, out-of-date expectations, or your poor self-image. Hold the symbol in your hands and tell it goodbye. Wrap it up in paper and string, using an appropriate colorâ"red for anger, hurt, or old passions; black for banishing and symbolic death; yellow for healing an old wound; purple for spiritual concerns. Find a quiet location and dig a hole. Bury the symbol, cover with earth, and dust your hands off three times, saying:
"I've wrapped it up, it's dead and buried. Farewell and good riddance!"

Are Your Kids in Tune With Their Sun SIgn?
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99

Are Your Kids in Tune with Their Sun Sign?
by Marjorie Orr
The core of your child's identity is tied to their Sun sign. There are, of course, other planets in their birth chart, but these sometimes act as distractions. It's always important to understand why, for example, your mini-Aries is uncharacteristically timid, or your little Pisces is an unexpected warrior. They simply need to be coaxed back to their center!
Aries
The Ram is designed to be a winner in whatever arena they operate, so you'll need to find the one thing your Aries child is good at. This may take some searching, but find it and they're sure to flourish!
Taurus
The Bull needs to be tuned in to both their body and five senses, as well as the material world. If there's a whirlwind of chaos around them, they won't cope well. Create a safe area of security where they can root themselves.
Gemini
Gemini is adaptable -- so much so that they may fit in too well with all that's going on around them. Deep inside they like to walk on the wild side, so they need a hint of adventure to bring spark to their life. If you insist on too much sameness, they're bound to sink into a rut.
Cancer
The Crab is not always fond of the rough-and-tumble life outside home. If they seem indifferent and shut down emotionally, they're not paying attention to what matters most to them -- their feelings. Love and protect them to lure them back to their soft center.
Leo
The Lion was not designed to be a wallflower! They need to glow in the spotlight. However, their confidence is fragile, so a meek Leo may have been squashed too hard at one point. Reverse this trend by cajoling them into doing whatever brings them approval and applause.
Virgo
Virgo is supposedly tidy, but these kids can often be chaotic. They prosper when there's organization in their lives and everything is in its right place. They'll adapt to almost anything, but they need to re-center themselves periodically to find their way in the world.
Libra
Libra dislikes messes and needs approval. So if your mini-Libra is an unwashed rebel, they're clearly out of step with themselves. Spruce up their self-esteem and they'll step out much happier ... and their manners will improve in a flash!
Scorpio
This is an intense sign, so if your little Scorpion skids across the surface of life, you should know they're off-track. Like most water signs, they can shut right down if threatened, so you'll need to gain their trust before they'll allow you to pull them out of their depths.
Sagittarius
The Archer is brave to the point of foolhardiness. If they cling to your apron strings, they're not being themselves. They need to be lured into sports and adventure games to re-light their inner spark.
Capricorn
The Goat can seem positively geriatric when young -- overly serious and responsible. But if they're idle, they need to be brought back to their center where they can be earthily indulgent, but still dutiful. Push them to find meaningful ambitions.
Aquarius
Aquarians can either be mavericks or overly serious Saturn types. Whichever camp yours falls into, they need to be their own person. If they're too compliant, they're off-base, so give them permission to be rebels. Allow them to push boundaries -- that's what they're born to do.
Pisces
Pisces can be bold, big fish or ... timid, little fish. Whichever your child may be, they're built to glide through life by finding meaning in their feelings, not crashing into arguments. Be sure to smooth down their rough edges, nurture their sensitivities and never laugh at their dreams.

Fun Friday--Everything's Changing....

THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT HERE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY!
We Must Stop This Immediately
Have you noticed that stairs are getting steeper. Groceries are heavier. And, everything is farther away. Yesterday I walked to the corner and I was dumbfounded to discover how long our street had become!
And, you know, people are less considerate now, especially the young ones. They speak in whispers all the time! If you ask them to speak up they just keep repeating themselves, endlessly mouthing the same silent message until they're red in the face! What do they think I am, a lip reader?
I also think they are much younger than I was at the same age. On the other hand, people my own age are so much older than I am. I ran into an old friend the other day and she has aged so much that she didn't even recognize me.
I got to thinking about the poor dear while I was combing my hair this morning, and in doing so, I glanced at my own reflection well, REALLY NOW - even mirrors are not made the way they used to be!
Another thing, everyone drives so fast these days! You're risking life and limb if you happen to pull onto the freeway in front of them. All I can say is, their brakes must wear out awfully fast, the way I see them screech and swerve in my rear view mirror..
Clothing manufacturers are less civilized these days. Why else would they suddenly start labeling a size 10 or 12 dress as 18 or 20? Do they think no one notices? The people who make bathroom scales are pulling the same prank. Do they think I actually 'believe' the number I see on that dial? HA! I would never let myself weigh that much! Just who do these people think they're fooling?
I'd like to call up someone in authority to report what's going on -- but the telephone company is in on the conspiracy too: they've printed the phone books in such small type that no one could ever find a number in there!
All I can do is pass along this warning:
WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!
Unless something drastic happens, pretty soon everyone will have to suffer these awful indignities.
PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN GET THIS CONSPIRACY STOPPED!
PS: I am sending this to you in a larger font size, because something has happened to my computer's fonts - they are smaller than they once were.
Laugh Each Day,
Lady Nightshayde

Which Chakra Are You?

Which Chakra Are You?
According to Indian tradition, the human energetic system runs through the spine, from the perineum (near the tailbone) to the top of the head. Along the way, it consists of a series of chakras, or energy centers, which themselves are associated with different astrological signs. Learn which chakra is connected to your Sun sign!
Aries is associated with the Manipura, or solar chakra. Located right under the ribs and traditionally visualized as being yellow, the solar chakra is the center of self-confidence, power and charisma. If these qualities sound familiar to the charming Ram, it's no surprise!
Sexy Taurus is all about the Swadisthana, or sexual chakra. The Swadisthana is related to sociability and, of course, sexuality. Colored orange and located just behind the pelvic bone, this chakra helps make the Bull particularly adept in the fine art of seduction.
Muladhara, or the root chakra, is Gemini's special spot. Located at the perineum, the root chakra is a center for physical energy, control and stability. The Twins, of course, are always seeking stability.
Like Gemini, Cancer's chakra is the Muladhara, the root chakra. This red-colored energy center is all about physical energy, control and stability -- each of which is a pertinent issue to sensitive Cancer.
With their fiery spirit and go-getter attitude, Leo is always one sexy sign. So it's no surprise to anyone who's ever loved a Leo that the Swadisthana, or sexual chakra, is the Lion's chakra. Colored orange and located just behind the pelvic bone, the Swadisthana is the center for sociability and sexuality.
Virgo's chakra is the yellow Manipura, which is located under the ribs. This solar-focused chakra is the center of self-confidence, power and charisma -- not surprising for this grounded, powerful sign.
Libra is associated with Anahata, the heart chakra. The center for both receptivity to and the giving of love, the heart chakra is located at the center of the chest and is thought of as colored green. Naturally, balanced Libra is deeply concerned with incoming and outgoing love!
Visshuda, the throat chakra, is the energy center most strongly associated with Scorpio. Responsible for intuition and contact with other worlds, this deeply mystical spot is located at the throat. No wonder passionate Scorpio knows so much.
Sagittarius is all about Ajna, the forehead chakra. Responsible for mental ability, logic, intellectual creativity and memory, Ajna helps the Archer with their amazing ability to synthesize information and ideas.
Capricorn is also associated with Ajna, the forehead chakra. Colored deep blue, this chakra is the spot where logic, intellectual creativity and memory are centered -- all of which influence Capricorn's strong mental abilities.
Intuitive Aquarius is most closely associated with Visshuda, the throat chakra. It is colored blue, providing intuitive powers and contact with other worlds.
Loving Pisces is most closely bound to Anahata, the heart chakra located at the center of the chest. It is visualized as being green and acts as a center of giving and recieving love.

Healing with Fire, Earth, Air and Water--Part 2
Posted by: "Lady Nightshayde" LadyNightshayde9@aol.com nightshayde99

HEALING WITH FIRE, EARTH, AIR AND WATER
PART 2
Sun Types and Moon Types
The Sun by element in your astrological chart is indicative of your underlying essence, the dominant theme or orientation of your life. Therefore it is an excellent indicator of the life force available to you. Much more detail and accuracy can be gathered if the full horoscope is available. Here you will have information on ten planets plus the ascendant.
In times of stress it is often the element of the Moon that will give you the most information in terms of tonic support to the system. The position of the Moon indicates instinctive habits or coping mechanisms that you return to for emotional support during times of difficulty; what you need in order to feel safe and secure.
For example, a Moon in Scorpio prefers to move an uncomfortable situation into crisis rather than to leave it simmering. Only in that way do they feel they can move on--by bringing it to a head and moving through it, now. Comfort foods for Scorpio Moon will be found in the information for the water signs below, and are useful in supporting their need for emotional discharge.
A Taurus Moon, in contrast, is extremely discomforted by emotional outbursts and will prefer to ignore them. As an earth sign, these people may pretend nothing is going on, plodding on despite the explosions around them. They use food as a panacea, or extra girth as a buffer to difficult environments. They are more emotionally unshaken, but need to be careful that they don't suppress difficult emotions entirely, as the suppressed emotions can develop into toxic tissue.
Identifying Excessive and Weak Elements
If you have access to your full horoscope, you have the tools for a more comprehensive picture of your health. By categorizing the planets and Ascendant into the four elements, you will come up with more details about the strengths and weaknesses of your unique constitution.
Here is an example of a horoscope broken down into fire, earth, air and water for a person born August 3, 1987, at 4:30 a.m. This person has Sun in Leo (fire); Moon in Scorpio (water); Ascendant in Cancer (water); Mercury in Cancer (water); Venus in Leo (fire); Mars in Leo (fire); Jupiter in Aries (fire); Saturn in Sagittarius (fire); Uranus in Sagittarius (fire); Neptune in Capricorn (earth); and Pluto in Scorpio (water).
If each planet is categorized by element, and if you give two points each to Sun, Moon, and Ascendant to reflect their greater influence, you have seven fire planets; six water planets; one earth planet; and no air planets. This gives an excess of fire and a deficiency in air and earth.
If this were your horoscope, how would we describe your vitality, your elemental constitution? Immediately we know that you have high natural life force, are prone to sudden inflammations and high fevers when you are ill, and that you recover quickly. You tend to stretch yourself to the maximum and ignore your body's warnings, and need to take care not to burn yourself out. You tend toward headaches due to energy blockages that keep your energy high in your body. This could be rectified with acupuncture treatment. Your digestive function is extremely active, you have a voracious appetite, and are hungry again soon after eating.
Grains, potatoes, squash, yams, sweep potatoes, and dairy products--heavy nutritious foods that take a long time to digest--are particularly beneficial. Reasonable amounts of sugars, butter and oil are also good for your constitutional type.
Helpful herbs would be mineral-rich ones like seaweed, nettles, and Siberian ginseng for tonic support and steady grounding energy.
Balancing Your Elements
Few people are born with a perfect balance of elements in their makeup, and life is constantly presenting challenges that require adaptation. Health is not a constant state, but a perpetually shifting interaction between outer circumstances and inner constitution. Each time we eat a meal there is a complex interaction of elements as we adjust to the intake and adapt the materials presented by the meal to our unique needs. Moments of balance occur between periods of readjustment.
Each element interacts with each other in nature, and also in our own bodies. Earth grounds air, water moistens fire, fire warms and dries out water, and air stimulates and aerates earth.
To Balance Fire
Low Fire
With a deficiency of the fire element, it may be hard to burn off or fight disease. The digestion and absorption of food are inadequate and need stimulation, but must be done gradually to prevent irritation. Eat foods that are light, hot, dry, and aromatic, and avoid cold foods. Hot spices and sour food, such as lemons and yogurt, are good, as are whole grains cooked in oil, spices, and even salt. Keep dairy and meat to a minimum, and frequent light meals are best. Midday is a good time to eat your main meal, as the maximum amount of fire your body can marshal is available at this time.
Headaches are frequently caused by low fire, where the only partially digested food begins to ferment. Physical exercise helps strengthen the fire element.
Low fire is strengthened by digestive stimulants such as cayenne, ginger, mustard, and cloves. Use circulatory stimulants such as cinnamon, garlic, and ginger.
Excess Fire
Excessive fire has a tendency to burn out as fire people find it difficult to conserve energy or pace themselves. They are prone to skin problems, acne, and have a strong body odor.
Fire is hot, light, and dry, and is therefore balanced by foods that are cold, moist, and heavy, or slow-burning foods that ground energy. A voracious appetite reflects excess fire. Anything that stimulates this should be avoided, particularly if you are thin and wiry. If this is the case, eat bland foods, avoid stimulating spices, consume little oil, meat, nuts, and beans. Raw or steamed vegetables are good, as is fruit (avoid sour fruits, peaches, and bananas). Milk is good, but not yogurt, as it is too sour.
Excess fire should avoid spicy herbs. Goldenseal, aloe, and milk thistle help detoxify the liver. Blood purifiers, such as yellow dock, reduce inflammations.
To Balance Earth
Excess Earth
Excess earth is prone to heaviness in the body and sluggishness in the system, with dullness and lethargy. Digestion and metabolism are slow, increasing density of body tissue, i.e., thick thin, sclerosis, calcium deposits, tumors, and increased body hair. Excess earth eats too much, too frequently.
Light foods such as fruit, salads, sprouts, and steamed vegetables with spices are advised. Meals that consist of liquids, juices, soups, and teas are better than heavier diets. If possible, the main mean should be taken at midday, when digestive fire is strongest. Meals should be simple. Keep combinations to a minimum, with no desserts and plenty of time to digest. Avoid dairy and fried foods. Fasting helps as earth tends to retain toxins.
Use bitter tonics such as gentian or Swedish bitters, and hot spices such as ginger, black pepper, and cayenne.
Low Earth
Low earth needs grounding. Low earth people tend to ignore the body and are not instinctive about what they need. They need activities and routines that stabilize their lives and give a sense of security. Foods need to be heavy and nutritious, such as potatoes, unrefined grains, and dairy. Use vegetables steamed and served with cheese and butter. Reasonable amounts of sugar, butter, and oil are well tolerated. Keep fruits and raw foods to a minimum. To improve the digestion, cook with plenty of spices.
Low earth should use demulcents such as licorice, slippery elm, seaweed, and minerals. Ginseng is grounding, as is astragalus and the auryvedic herb ashwaganda.
To Balance Air
Excess Air
Restlessness, excessively dry hair and skin, dry mucous membranes, nervous disorders, problems with balance, and even Alzheimer's disease are associated with too much air. Excessive air tends toward insomnia from an inability to turn it all off, as well as memory loss from systemic overload. Air benefits from a schedule with intervals of relaxation with minimal stimulation (not even television or radio), to allow the nervous system to recharge itself.
Dancing, any slow and rhythmic exercise, yoga or yoga breathing, or any breath meditations are particularly helpful for air signs. The wearing of warm colors and the adoption of consistent daily routines will bring out the best of air's vivacious and versatile nature.
Excess Air benefits from digestive enzymes or Swedish bitters and small, frequent meals. There is a tendency toward gas, and the bowels evacuate quickly.
Air is cold and very drying and needs to be balanced by moisture and heat. In terms of diet use dairy (especially yogurt), cooked rice and oats, vegetables cooked in oil, nuts, and seeds.
Air energy tends to collect high in the body and gains from any opportunity to connect with earth, to be drawn or enticed downward. Grains and root crops are particularly helpful. Raw foods aggravate the naturally cold quality of air. Raw salads should be kept to a minimum, though are easier to tolerate in the warm summer months. Otherwise use plenty of dressing, and add or replace with lightly steamed vegetables, nuts or croutons to ground the energy. Avoid yeasty foods, mushrooms, refined sugars, beans, and too much cabbage and broccoli.
Herbs for excessive air signs include nervines such as skullcap, passionflower, or even valerian. These can be particularly soothing to the anxiety of the air type.
Low Air
For those lacking air there may be problems with the flow of body energy. Circulatory stimulants such as garlic and ginger are good. Anything that is light, dry, and stimulating will be helpful. Nervines can also be helpful, but specifically those that are tonic but not particularly sedating, such as skullcap or oats.
To Balance Water
Excess water
Excess water manifests as excess weight, in the form of water and fat. Even without an excessive appetite, these people have sluggish digestion, poor assimilation, and slow metabolism. Stagnant excess water may manifest as mucus, cysts, tumors, and swellings, as well as systemic candida. It is seldom helpful to decrease dietary intake alone; better results come from increasing the metabolic rate, decreasing the liquid intake, changing the diet, and increasing physical activity.
Excess water is balanced by foods that are hot, dry, and light. Vegetables are well tolerated, steamed and spicy, with minimal salt. Sweets increase water and fat; if eaten, they should be eaten separately. Excess water is cold, wet, and heavy. Avoid heavy, oily foods, dairy, sweets, yeasty foods, breads, and salt. Beans and fruit are good, but avoid large quantities of melon.
Low Water
Low water constitutions have trouble flushing toxins from their systems, and lack lubrication to their systems. They tend to be stiff and dehydrated and have difficulty sleeping. They suffer from conditions similar to excess air, such as skin and hair dryness and difficult absorption of nutrients. They find it hard to receive emotional nourishment. Add baths, drink plenty of liquids, and live near water. Use wheat, rice, oats, seaweed, dairy Products, and natural sugars. Avoid beans and natural diuretics such as carrots, celery, cabbage, and asparagus. Don't fast. Take care with extreme exposure to heat or sunlight, and take extra salt with exertion or warm weather.
