Daily Feng Shui Tip by Ellen Whitehurst for Wednesday, October 27
In the U.K. and Scotland today is 'National Tell A Story Day,' so far be it from me not to comply. Once upon a time there was a maiden who was married to a rich and handsome man. But then the man did some very stupid things and the woman decided that she had to take her young son and start her life anew. Now, the blonde maiden hadn't worked a full day's labor in years and was very scared as to what she would do next. Then, in a dream, her fairy godmother whispered an empowering message in her ear. The godmother told the maiden to follow her heart and to stop worrying so much. She explained that worry only created more worry and that each time the maiden focused her thoughts on what she didn't have then she was creating more of that very same situation. The maiden had no idea how to find the funds to put porridge on the table, but she loved ancient philosophies and alternative medical healing, and she especially loved the world of Feng Shui. So, with worry behind her, she decided to start a business where she could share all of the information she had learned with anyone who was interested. At first the villagers thought she was daft. But, the head villager hired her to share her information with the kingdom. The maiden was so excited that she immediately enacted a Feng Shui ritual that ensures a prosperous and healthy career. She took two small round mirrors and hung one mirror three inches from the ceiling in the 'Career' area and then did the same with the other mirror in the 'Fame' area. She made it appear as if there were a straight line of energy bouncing back and forth between the two mirrors since an old Feng Shui Wizard had once told her that this cure would make her career dreams come true. And they did, so the maiden, her son, the fairy godmother, the Wizard and all who came in contact with her lived happily ever after. The End.

The 21 Rules Of Halloween!
1. When it appears that you have killed the monster, NEVER check to
see if it's really dead.
2. Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.
3. Do not search the basement, especially if the power has gone out.
4. If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language
which they should not know, shoot them immediately. It will save you
a lot of grief in the long run. However, it will probably take
several rounds to kill them, so be prepared. This also applies to
kids who speak with somebody else's voice.
5. When you have the benefit of numbers, NEVER pair off and go
alone.
6. As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.
7. Never stand in, on, or above a grave, tomb, or crypt. This would
apply to any other house of the dead as well.
8. If you're searching for something which caused a loud noise and
find out that it's just the cat, GET THE HELL OUT!
9. If appliances start operating by themselves, do not check for
short circuits; just get out.
10. Do not take ANYTHING from the dead.
11. If you find a town which looks deserted, there's probably a good
reason for it. Don't stop and look around.
12. Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure
you know what you're doing.
13. If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down
at east twice, more if you are female. Also note that, despite the
fact that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along,
it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.
14. If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacteristic
behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes,
increasing hairiness, and so on, kill them immediately.
15. Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are
listed here: Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, Nilbog (you're in
trouble if you recognize this one), anywhere in Texas where
chainsaws are sold, the Bermuda Triangle, or any small town in
Maine. And definitely stay away from open fields.
16. If your car runs out of gas at night on a lonely road, do not go
to he nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help. If you think
that it is strange you ran out of gas because you thought you had
most of a tank, shoot yourself instead. You are going to die anyway,
and most likely be eaten.
17. Beware of strangers bearing tools. For example: chainsaws,
staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines,
lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any
devices made from deceased companions.
18. If you find that your house is built upon a cemetery, now is the
time to move in with the in-laws. This also applies to houses that
had previous inhabitants who went mad or committed suicide or died
in some horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed satanic
practices.
19. Dress appropriately. When investigating a noise downstairs in an
old house, women should not wear a flimsy negligee. And carry a
flashlight, not a candle.
20. Do not mention the names of demons around open flames, as these
can flare suddenly. Be especially careful of fireplaces in this
regard.
21. Do not go looking for Witches in the Maryland countryside.

I have dreams about deaths and get the feeling about it when awake. It's hard to explain but when I'm awake it's like tunnel vision or all my attention is on one person and when it happens I know they're going to pass soon. My family and friends always say DO NOT tell me when I'm going to die! Wish I knew lottery numbers instead, J/K. :)

I always dreamt of family members dying since I was a 5. I used to tell my mom and she would take care of it. Thank goddess I had a mom who knew what I was and who was able to handle it as best she could till I got older. The one that scared me the most was when my niece was 5, I went to visit her and she ran out in the street to see me and got hit by a trolley. I went to tell her mom and she didn't really believe me and I told her to just watch her. As I was leaving upset she didn't listen I went walking cross the street and nini decided she wanted to give me a hug and kiss and all I remember hearing is omg nini and I turned just in time ran scooped her up seconds before she was hit by a trolley. I went over to her mother handed nini to her after kissing and hugging her for 5 mins and said maybe next time u will listen to me.

has anyone ever had a premonistion about how they are going to die? I actually believe that I had a one about a year ago. I woke up with in a panic, I dreamt i crashed into the back of a semi just as i slammed into it i woke up but had a feeling like that is how it is going to happen so of course knowing that i cant change it, Im very careful driving around trucks. I was behind a truck and my suv didnt stop fast enough this morning and I almost slammed into it. Thank Goddess I stopped but it reminded me of my dream.

Angela, most people don't really want to know about their deaths ahead of time, although they may tell you otherwise. It's a hard call on this one.

How cool to visit places where Butch and Sundance walked the earth!
The region you live in is so very beautiful. That beautiful area also has a
palpable energy.
When I visit Manitou Springs I really enjoy working the the Lord Kokopelli and
the Lady Kokopelmana. These were the Lord and Lady of the Native folks before
the European settlers had their way with them.
When I visit the cliff dwellings I need only to touch the walls and I can hear
the spirits. The scent of the sage stays with me for hours after I leave. My
wife is a Witch too and she has the same experience I have. The rockies are a
truly Magickal place and are amazingly beautiful as well!
If you like wine, be sure to visit the The D'Vine Winery & shop in Manitou
Springs. It's behind Adam's Mountain Cafe. They make a Chardonnay Peach wine
which is totally wonderful. In fact we bought some for my step-daughter's
wedding.
If ever in Steamboat Springs, check out Strawberry Springs which is worth the
search and talk about amazing! There is so much beauty and so much energy and
the hot spring water will leave you smelling like Herbal Essence shampoo - it's
scented right out of the mountain!
You guys are so very fortunate to live in such a wonderful part of the country.

I live in Wyoming on the Wyoming/Colorado border. Colorado is beautiful and
there are parts of Wyoming as well that have breath taking scenery. My husband
took me to a place along the railroad where Butch Cassidy and Sundance robbed a
train. And we have the history of Tom Horn who was hung for cattle
rustling...that sort of history. I have always wanted to tour some of the
wineries in California. I love wine!! I like some of the Ravenwood
wines...thought about using their logo as a tattoo...lol. So it that Smoking
Loon Pinot pretty good? I like a nice Pinot Griegio as long as its not too
bitter!! Sounds wonderful...I think tomorrow I may have to go splurge on a
bottle of wine.!!

Red Gold: The Epic Story of Blood
The Halloween tradition of the macabre and gory elements is not complete without blood. Once again PBS steps up to the plate and 'delves into the facts and myths about human blood and its impact on everything from religion and medicine to commerce and popular culture throughout history.' Take the Blood Journey, following it from creation, through the circulatory system and then to donation and transfusion. The Blood History section tracks 'the scientific developments that contributed to society's understanding and use of blood.' Blood Basics has 'backgrounders written for the hematologist, historian, or humble invoice.' The 'Innovators and Pioneers' section has more information on 'people who changed the world of blood' (Dracula did not make the cut!). The educational section has Lesson Plans and a Discussion Guide for proper presentation of the material. This series is an excellent introduction to understanding the importance and functions of blood, the Red Gold that is 'so crucial to our world!'
