Elder's Meditation of the Day October 14

The most important thing we can do during the course of the day is pray in the
morning. There is a special time in the morning that has great power. This is
the exact time the sun is rising. During the rising of the sun, everything on
the Earth is waking up. Animals, plants, birds, and humans will be blessed at
the rising of the sun. This is a special time to help us prepare for the day.
During this time we ask the Creator to bless our day. We ask Him to guide us,
to protect us and to give us courage to overcome the day's obstacles. Doing
this everyday will give us knowledge of God's will for us.
Grandfather, Grandmother, guide my path. Let my thinking be guided by You.

When
you
are feeling tense and anxious, it is important for you to see if your anxiety is
caused by a fear to follow your inner truth through courageous action.
Sit quietly with pen and
paper nearby. Breathe down to a quiet place and reach your center. Clear away
the worries over the future and regrets over the past. Things are as they are
right now, and your goal right now is to alleviate your tension through right
action.
Find the calm pool of peace
within you and ask, how shall I approach this situation? Then write down the
very first answer that comes; capture it before your mind has a chance to
second-guess or edit.
If the answer is that you
are to be patient and wait, good, then do so calmly, peacefully and without
fear. If the answer is that you must deal directly with the situation, then
take a deep breath, fill yourself with courage and prepare yourself to speak
your truth, calmly, clearly and directly. And if the answer is to meet with
others, one on one, listen and learn as you quietly work out your differences,
then do that.
Fear and doubt prefer that
you deal with situations in anger or that you do nothing except worry and
complain. To fear and doubt, a wonderful solution is to revert to your old
patterns of overeating and drinking, while taking no constructive steps toward
resolution. Fear loves gossip, anger and manipulation.
But you are more than
this. You are strong and capable and full of truth and rightness, which direct
you each step of the way. Reach down to them and find what you should do, what
right action you should take to alleviate the tension and anxiety you feel.
Then take a deep breath and act, and fear will give way before you.

Vacation Cruises

Vacation Cruises - This is nothing planned as of yet. I am ONLY seeking to find out how many would be interested.
I briefly knew of a lady a few years ago (nearly 5) that took it upon herself to plain and amass together great amounts of information to successfully organize Pagan Cruises. I've since lost contact with this person. I was sitting here with to much time on my hands this evening thinking to myself - 'I wonder just how many people would be interested in doing something such as this'
No one date would ever be agreed upon by everyone - this much I know. What I am willing to do is this, I'll do a search to see when most cruise line have their down season (making it cheaper in price). I will look and see what our choices are in where the ship may take us and for how long. I would suggest no longer than 3 day trip. I will ask what sort of group rating may apply should we have 10 or more. I will discover just what we would get for our money.
It will cost some of you more than what it would others due to the distance you would have to travel to reach the starting point of departure. Once the leg-work is complete and all I've said I would do is done - you would have to pledge to pay have up front so I could lock in the agreed pricing. This means that once the cruise is confirmed - the money paid is NOT REFUNDABLE! Should you change your mind after the deal is signed - you lose that which you had paid. This is how they would handle it on their end and that would be how I would have to handle it on my end.
Now, how many people might be willing to take a chance on a few days at sea? Here's a site that will offer you some ideas to what is offered and certain times.
Anyone interested may contact me off list and I'll gladly send you the URL to the site.

Healing Our Bodies
Touch
It's important to not forget about the power of the human touch in our lives.
Sometimes we might concentrate so much on our spiritual lives that we overlook
the wonders of being present in our physical form. When we are more aware of the
fact that our bodies are also important in terms of our personal growth, we may
find it easier to nurture them. One of the most powerful ways to do this is
through human touch, for a loving, comforting touch allows us to access the part
of ourselves that yearns for a sense of oneness with the world around us. Even
simple forms of touch connect us not just to our bodies but also to the
energetic presence of other people.
There are so many ways to incorporate touch in our daily lives, one of the
easiest being a heartfelt embrace. Just making a point to hug someone on a daily
basis and really feel our energy pass between each other can strengthen the
bonds that keep us together. Hugs help us heal any hurt or upset we may have
recently experienced by letting us release into the moment of the embrace and
realize that no matter what happens to us, we have someone in our lives who
supports and cares for us.
Another nourishing form of touch is massage. While we may think of massage as a
luxury, it is actually an ancient form of healing that enables us to open up our
energetic pathways in order to receive unlimited energy from the universe. It
doesn't matter whether a simple massage comes from a loved one or a massage
therapist, but by giving ourselves the gift of massage every once in a while, we
are doing something healthy and beneficial for our bodies. Massage helps our
bodies activate their own restorative powers, creating a wonderful way to engage
fully in our own healing.
Letting ourselves take advantage of the healing nature of touch creates space
where we can truly live in and experience the world through our bodies, allowing
us to completely immerse ourselves in the loving sense of joy and wonder that is
our life.

About Gaia: In Greek tradition, Gaia stretched out at the beginning of time,
becoming the earth's land. In this form, she continues to give life and
sustenance to all things that dwell in and on the planet, even when the cold
weather tries to steal away that life. So sacred are Gaia's soils that any
oracle at Delphi belonged to Gaia before Apollo took over, giving her the
additional attribute of prophesy.
To Do Today: The thanksgiving theme among Canadians is much the same as in the
United States, it's a time of expressing gratitude to the earth and the heavens
for their ongoing providence. Enjoy a robust feast of harvested edibles today
to internalize Gaia's blessings and foresight. Remember to give thanks to the
creatrix of your feast before eating! Also consider following Greek custom by
leaving Gaia an offering of barley, honey, or cakes in an opening in the
earth. This show of gratitude inspires Gaia's fertility in the coming months
and years.
To help keep yourself true to a promise, carry a few pinches of soil with you

little back to Gaia. This invokes her strength and sense of duty.
