Ritual for Clairvoyant Tools

Ritual for Clairvoyant Tools
October 27
Color of the day: Topaz
Incense of the day: Honeysuckle
This is a good workout ritual for those who are in training to be clairvoyants
because it can be performed as many times as you wish—even after starting out
in clairvoyance. This ritual also allows you to realign with spiritual objects
that are used as tools in your work. Such items are crystal balls, crystal
pyramids, tarot cards, I Ching, and all other types of card decks.
On a day when you are undisturbed, place all your tools on the altar. Meditate
until you are able to hold an unwavering meditative state of mind. Pick up each
object one at a time and get to know it; observe its lines, designs, and
qualities. Know that you are getting better acquainted with it. Send loving
energies to each item. Personify each by letting them assimilate with your
natural electromagnetic energy levels. Visualize the tool and you working
smoothly and accurately together.

Elder's Meditation of the Day October 27
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411

Elder's Meditation of the Day October 27
"O Great Spirit Whose voice I hear in the winds, And whose breath gives life to
all the world, hear me! I am small and weak. I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset."
--from, PRAYER TO THE GREAT SPIRIT
The Great Spirit runs the world and the people by a set of natural laws and
principles. He says we are to live our lives and make decisions that will be in
harmony with these laws. He says we should be respectful to all things and to
all people. He says we should pray for each other. He says we should forgive
one another. It is easy to tell if a person is following the ways of the Great
Spirit. You can tell by how a man walks in life. He doesn't need to say
anything. If we are dishonest or deceitful, other people will know. This is
true because we are all interconnected in the Unseen World.
My Creator, let me obey Your ways. Let me Walk the Talk.

DailyOM - Making Life Work for You
Today's DailyOM brought to you by:
October 27, 2010
Life As It Is
Making Life Work for You
At the end of the day, we must come to terms with changing what we can and
accepting what we cannot change.
Sometimes we have so many varying responsibilities in our lives, ranging from
work obligations to caring for children to running a household, we feel we
cannot possibly make it all work. We may feel overwhelmed in the face of it all,
ending each day feeling hopelessly behind schedule. However, regardless of how
frustrating this can be, these are the parameters that make up our lives, and we
owe it to ourselves to find a way to make it work. Rather than buckling under
the pressure of an impossible to-do list, we might take a moment to view the
larger perspective.
Like the president of a large organization, we must first realize that we cannot
do every job ourselves. The first step to sanity is learning how to delegate
some of the responsibility to other people, whether by paying someone to clean
our house or trading childcare duties with another parent. In addition, we might
find places where we can shift our expectations in ways that make our lives
easier. For example, expecting ourselves to create a healthy home-cooked meal
every night after a full day of work, errands, or caring for an infant or
toddler may be a bit excessive. We might allow ourselves to order in food once
in a while without any guilt. Accepting the adjustments needed to make our lives
work is an essential ingredient to being at peace with our situation.
At the end of the day, we must come to terms with changing what we can and
accepting what we cannot change. Sometimes the laundry piles up, a sick child
demands more of our attention than usual, and we temporarily get behind with our
schedule. Accepting this momentary state of affairs and trusting in our ability
to get back on track when the time is right, we gracefully accept our life as it
is, letting go of perfectionism and embracing life as it stands.

Group Past Life Regression
By Bridget
Past life regressions are a process that allows you to experience one or more
of your past lives by putting you into a light state of hypnosis. This allows
your subconscious to remember back to a life time before the one you are in
now. You may see, hear, smell, or just know that you have experienced what your
mind is accessing. This can be a wonderful tool to help with issues in this life
time, helping to understand behavioral problems like phobias, or even picking
bad relationships. Past life regression can also just be an enjoyable way to see
what we've experienced in past life times also.

What's Happening Today:
# Ochi Day (Greek)
# Bring Your Jack-o'-Lantern to Work Day
# Mulvian Bridge Day
# Czech Thanksgiving
# Day of the No - Just say "NO"!
# Old Slavic feast of Baba and Dedo, protectors of families and elders.
# Days of the Dead - In Puebla in Mexico, the accidentados (the souls of those
who died in accidents) return on this day, followed by the angelitos (the souls
of dead children) who show up at noon on October 31, to be followed by the souls
of dead adults on November 1st. Altars are adorned with candles, food, and
marigolds, the flowers of the dead. Sometimes paths of flower petals are laid to
guide the souls from the street to the altar.
# Slavic: Mokosh Day - Mokosh was honored on the Friday between Oct 25 and Nov
1, though some fix this date on Oct. 28. Mokosh, Goddess of the waters of the
air and the soil, fertility, and bounty, was given offerings of vegetables. Her
worship was part of the state religion in the ancient Slavic lands that are now
Russia, Poland, and the Ukraine, and she was patroness of fishing, spinning and
weaving.
# Celtic Tree Calendar: Ngetal (Reed) - October 28 to November 24.The Reed
Month, is said by some to be most favorable for communication with ancestral
spirits and the strengthening of all family ties, with magickal associations
with fertility, love, protection, and family concerns. "Thin and slender is the
Reed. He stands in clumps at the edge of the river and between his feet hides
the swift pike awaiting an unsuspecting minnow to come his way. In his thinness
the reed resembles arrows that fly, silver-tipped, up into the unknown air to
land at the very source that one had searched for all these years. Firing arrows
off into the unknown is an expression of the desire to search out basic truths.
If you loose off without direction, the place of landing will be random. If the
firing off is carried out with the correct conviction, determination and sense
of purpose, then the act becomes secondary to the event that comes both before
and after the moment."
# Phoenicia: The Phoenician Sun God, Baal of the Heavens, was honored annually
in ancient times, on or around this date. He presided over nature and fertility,
and was associated with winter rain. Sacred sun-symbolizing bonfires were lit in
his honor by his worshipers in Syria.

Today's Goddess: Nicneven Halloween (Various Locations)

Today's Goddess: Nicneven
Halloween (Various Locations)
Themes: Protection; Ghosts; Divination; Peace; Winter
Symbols: Pumpkins; Gourds; Traditional Halloween Fare
About Nicneven: In Scotland, Nicneven is the Crone goddess of Samhain, which is
the predecessor of modern Halloween festivals. Nicneven governs the realms of
magic and witchcraft and also represents the imminent onset of winter.
To Do Today: In magic and Celtic traditions, this is the new year - a time when
the veil between worlds grows thin and spirits can communicate with the
living. Follow the usual customs of carving a pumpkin or turnip for protection
and to illuminate the way for family spirits to join you in today's
celebrations.
In druidical tradition, Samhain was a time to rectify any matters causing
dissent. Nicneven provides the magical glue for this purpose. Take a white
piece of paper on which you've written the reason for anger in a relationship,
then burn it in any hallowed fire source (the pumpkin candle, or ritual fires).
As you do, ask Nicneven to empower the spell and destroy the negativity
completely.
To inspire Nicneven's wisdom or magical aptitude within, enjoy traditional
Halloween fare - apple pie, for example, brings sagacity. Sparkling apple cider
tickles magical energy. And root crops provide solid foundations and protection
while magical creatures are afoot!. )0(

Clean Divination Ritual

Clean Divination Ritual
The season of Halloween is a special time of year. The veil between the worlds
is thin now, and divination possibilities are strongest. Now is the time to
bring out the tarot cards or the runes so you can see what the future holds for
you. Place a piece of soapstone in the bag that holds your cards or runes, and
gently shake the bag to cleanse them. Then enchant your cards or runes by
saying: "Cards (or runes) of fortune, this is what I ask of you—a glimpse of
what will come to me, a hint of how my life may be." If you read for others, be
sure to cleanse the cards or runes with the soapstone between readings.

Druid Reading for Samhain
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:38 pm (PDT)
Druid Reading for Samhain
The celebrations on the eve of All Souls Day, called Halloween, stem from the
Celtic New Year celebration called Samhain. When the Sun goes down on this eve,
there is a time between the old year and the creation of the new. Specifically,
this occurs at sunrise. In this twilight of the years, the veil between this
world and the world of the spirit is thin. It is a time when ghosts and spirits
can interact with the living, and a time when divination is most effective.
This is a sacred time when all warriors were to keep their swords sheathed.
Samhain literally means "end of the summer." This day marked the last harvest
of the summer, and so it is a harvest celebration. But, because there were only
three months in the ancient Celtic calendar, and no autumn, it is also the
beginning of the winter death that will lead to next year's regeneration. On
this night, the lord of death reigns, and the Celts protect themselves from
this threat with bonfires and animal sacrifice. Animal sacrifice is closely
associated with divination. In most ancient cultures, the remains of the
sacrificed animal were examined to discover the will of the gods and to predict
the future. The Druid priests would take advantage of this auspicious time to
look into the events of the upcoming year—at least up until Beltane, which
marked the year's midpoint. Although predicting the future is not necessarily
the best use of the tarot, this is a good time to try reading the future. You
can do this by laying out three cards for each of the six months from Samhain
to Beltane (you should have eighteen total cards). Read each set of three cards
as a story that will pertain to that month.

Medieval Irish Death Chant
Posted by: "Cher Chirichello" CHIC0411@YAHOO.COM chic0411
Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:39 pm (PDT)
Go home now, to the mother of winter.
Go home now, to your springtime home.
Go home now, to the mother of summer.
Go home now, to your autumn home.
Sleep, oh sleep now. Sleep, oh sleep.
Sleep against her sacred breast.
Sleep, oh sleep now. Sleep, oh sleep.
Sleep this night, let her give you rest.
~Medieval Irish Death Chant
This is the night on which the ancient Celtic feast of Samhain was celebrated -
and is still celebrated, under its later name of Halloween. In the Celtic
calendar, there were two days when the veil between this world and the next
grew thin so that beings could pass between them. One was Beltane, May 1, when
beings who wished to be born sought new bodies; today is the opposite feast,
when the spirits of the dead can come back to comfort, or to disturb, those
left behind.
Samhain was Christianized into All Saints' Day, but the meaning remains the
same. Today, in the gathering dark of late fall, we think of those who have
gone into that mysterious night of death. We grow closer to them, and they to
us. Some day, each of us will join them in the afterworld, whatever it may be.
Samhain, each year, reminds us of that.
