Sacred Boar Lore
In Celtic spiritual tradition, the boar was one of the most sacred animals of
the Samhain season. It was especially associated with the Sacred Hunt that took
place in the weeks leading up to the Celtic New Year on November 1. The boar
represented strength, courage, and determination. Magical boars appeared in the
forest to lead people into magical adventures. In Welsh legend, King Arthur and
his warriors pursue the supernatural boar Twrch Trwyth. The Gaulish goddess
Arduinna, who presided over the Ardennes forest, was portrayed riding a wild
boar. Recite this prayer to invoke personal power and the wisdom of nature,
especially that spiritual power which comes from 0therworld encounters:
I will wash my face in the nine rays of the Sun.
I will travel in the name of the gods.
In likeness of deer,
In likeness of horse,
In likeness of serpent,
In likeness of boar.

Holidays/Sabbat/Esbate/season, please share more about it with us or share some
memories or old traditions.
If you borrow the recipe please make sure that persons name is on it and also
links if possible so people know where you got and get credited for it.

I don't believe that, we are carnivores and need meat, even apes eat protein, I think humans are way off balance in what they should be eating but I know for a fact vegetarians that have problems later in life from missing certain nutrition's too. Our muscles run on protein too, I believe Balance

Yes Yahoo address books are being hacked, people are not keeping their accounts updated being over at FB and if you remember clean out your emails, don't open things you don't know

But that's not the only thing, I never ever open an attachment that
isn't thoroughly scanned first - I also keep up on my emails (as this
program I use for them grabs the emails ever 15mins) and keep up to date
even with facebook - its a back door in their address book system, and
not just yahoo, I've seen the same thing happen with hotmail addresses
and well I expect any web based email is open to this. Nearest I've
been able to seen the only people who are immune are those that host
their own email servers.
Its something being shown to career spammers as another way to get out
the information they are being paid too, without it coming back on them.

What do you believe the Deities to be?
What do you believe the Deities to be? Forces of nature with intelligence?
Can they be actual beings with shape who exist either in this world or some
other world?
Can two different Deities share the same force? Or the same force be under two
different names?

This is a way to break the proverbial ice welcome you into the group.
You don't have to answer it its all in fun! after all if we can not laugh, what
is there?
Name: Heather or MysticRayne
How many years young are you? 28. I was born on the 9th of June.
What town/county do you live in?: Ohio
What path/belief/tradition/ religion do you follow or drawn too? I haven't yet
found any one specific path that meets my beliefs so for now I simply call
myself an Eclectic Pagan.
Which God/Goddess are you closest to?: Freya and Zeus. Different pantheons I
know, but...who am I to argue?
Do you have a "totem" or power animal?: Yes, Grey Wolf, Black Jaguar and
Siberian Tiger.
What other "non-pagan" things are you interested in?: Reading, listening to
music, fishing, writing fiction.
How long have you been interested/studying/practicing? I first became
interested in Paganism back when I was about 13. I acquired a book on Wicca and
read it several times, but that's as far as my research went back then. Back in
about '06 or '07, my interest in Paganism returned and I began seriously looking
into it. In Feb. '08, I officially declared myself a Wiccan to my immediate
family and closest friends. Several months and a ton of reading later, I
realized that Wicca isn't for me and began simply calling myself a Pagan. I
have yet to ease off on the studying and learning and doubt I ever will. :)
Do you have a book of Shadows?: Yep, sure do.
Do you have an Altar? Not really.
Coven or solitary? preference? Solitary
Anything else you'd like to tell the group about yourself or
your path? I'm a writer. Haven't had anything published as of yet, but I write
fiction. Romance genre. I also am divorced and have a dog and a cat. :) I'm
looking forward to meeting you all!
